Is it any good as a draught excluder?

It has certainly done the trick on the fire-door between our study and the garage. The recessed type that was fitted when the door was installed was obviously now insufficient to bridge the gap. There used to be a howling gale blowing through. I fitted it as an addition to the recessed stuff which was fitted around the edge of the door frame. The new white stuff is fitted on the door frame with bristles in the corner. Just make sure you have enough space to fit the tape in. It will probably make your door a much tighter fit and will take a while to bed in so that the door shuts smoothly.. Measure thoroughly before you buy. The dimensions written on the bottom left of the packaging in Amazon photo are accurate. You will need to zoom to read it. It will only work for a gap of at least 1.3mm up to 1.8mm. Is the brush a smoke seal?

Yes it is, it also complies with building regs as I fitted them to all my fire doors when I did my loft extension and the building inspector was happy
