Feline Natural - High Protein Freeze Dried Dry Cat Food with 98% Meat

I have a senior cat who had chronic diarrhea. This was exacerbated by his pain medication and was bad enough that I was given antidiarrhea medication from the vet to give to my cat twice a day. Besides the fact my cat hated it, it only helped some. I was given probiotics to put in his food but my cat wouldn't eat any of the food or wet treats the probiotics was in. My nephew told me about Feline Natural and sent me some. After feeding my cat this food, both wet and dry, it helped tremendously! I don't have to give my cat the diarrhea medicine anymore, and though his poops aren't completely solid, they are soft, but have some shape like normal poop, he doesn't have diarrhea anymore. I should say I tried other cat food recommended by my vet but Feline Natural worked the best. The only problem I have is that I can't find it at any of the pet stores around me. I can only get it on line.

This stuff is really good. PROs: 1) Very high quality ingredients - zero fillers, 98% meat. 2) Extremely high processing standards (New Zealand - which has far higher standards than the U.S.). 3) Critters really dig it -- and now usually go on strike over their "regular" food, as you can see from the pic (Sigh). CONs: 1) The bags are 150% bigger than they need to be. The product settles to the bottom 1/2 to 1/3. Leaves too much air in there to oxidize. Why do this?? In fact, why not vacuum seal these suckers and get them shipped at half the cost? You could turn this into a small brick sized package. Anyway. 2) Insanely expensive. (But understandable given ingredients, quality, and shipping from NZ). They are available on Subscribe n Save.... but you save only about forty cents. Wicked expensive. (Sigh.) 3) This is possibly idiosyncratic -- our cats only eat it dry in the little weird pellet-ish form (like sawdust). When we add hot water to rehydrate to make 'normal' food texture, they respond with mild disinterest and it usually sits there all day with a only few nibbles taken out of the goo. Sot this perplexes me. Would that not be MUCH preferable? (I read somewhere that the zillions of little hairs on their tongues (for grooming) are very sensitive to textures and produce strong likes/dislikes...?) Having said that -- to be frank -- as long as they are drinking enough water (which these do), who cares? Less work for us AND... don't need to worry as much about spoilage throughout the day! So.... upon reflection... this is actually a "PRO" :-) Move to the other column. Win! Win!

Our cat loves this food. We use it as a treat, because although he would eat it as a meal, it's expensive!

We have 3 cats - all getting on the older side and each one dealing with a different health issue. Even using prescriptions from the vet, they were still not feeling well. So, I started looking into what we were feeding them and found out that all cat food sold in pet stores use meal and other fillers in their dry foods and the wet foods all had agar or something similar to make the food more palatable. The problem: all of these foods are bad for cats' health. I also found out that feeling them foods without those additives can help keep them healthier. So, I have been feeding them this food (plus two other freeze dried foods from New Zealand where they don't poison their soils, waters, or livestock). I was able to wean all the cats off their meds (slowly) and waited to see if they got sick again. They did not. In fact, they are healthier - - they are playing more and clearly are more comfortable. One of them has started jumping up on the kitchen counter again. Something he hadn't done for the last year. Not that I'm happy about a cat on the counters, but I take it as a sign that he is doing much better. And...best of all, the cats love the freeze dried foods. You just have either put some water in the food bowl or have lots of water available for them day and night. I do both and they dig into their food bowls with gusto.

My kittens love this freeze dry meat, but when I open the package, the product smell not right, and color was more yellow than the one I purchased before. I just purchased a beef flavor from feline natural’s official website, it smells so good, and the color was more light. This lam&king salmon flavor not good this time, I am so upset. I couldn’t let my baby kitten eat this because it’s quality not good. I just received the product 3 days ago, and unable to return it. Waste of money. I should order it from it’s official website, fast shipping, good quality, same price!

I recently had to switch my cat’s food over from rabbit after I became allergic to rabbit randomly, it was so hard finding food he could tolerate on the market because most brand use so many fillers, and also use things he is allergic to like soy, poultry, etc. I took a chance on freeze dried food from this brand because it was pretty cheap for the small bag so I figured if it didn’t work out I wouldn’t have made a huge investment. Omg, my cat LOVES this stuff. I normally have to introduce food to him slowly or else he will get cranky and go on a hunger strike + develop all sorts of GI issues. As soon as I switched him over to the lamb he was hooked. He devours his food now. There’s none left in his bowl. I use this as a topper to supplement his wet food regimen now, which I think prevents him from getting diarrhea from the canned wet food. His BM are very solid and regular now (he used to go through phases of constipation then diarrhea on the regimen I had him on before… not ideal but again it was HARD finding food he wasn’t allergic to + was willing to eat.) They also don’t stink up the whole house like they used to either. I’m very happy with the switch and thank goodness a friend of mine who is a vet suggested lamb to try since it’s usually a good pick for sensitive pets. Bullseye. I’m purchasing for as long as he can eat it :)

Both cats looked interested. One tried it and I thought that she liked it but would not eat it after that initial feeding. Tried mixing it with their preferred food but that didn't work either.

This is a very good supplement to my cats food…

I use this as a topper for wet foods the cats don't usually touch and they gobble it all up. It's expensive but last a long time when you crush and sprinkle it on.

I think the cat loves it It’s just easy to break apart and you will be left with a lot of powder I think the size is very small for a high price Clean cat food but as well you need to relax with the prices

I am a believer in raw food for the carnivorous cat and I bought this for my own pet and I love it and I love this brand.

うちの猫3匹(ノル2、雑種1)が大好きです。他のフード、特に肉成分比率の高い欧州産のフードは与えたいのですが、酸化しやすいオメガ3、6系の多価不飽和脂肪酸がコーティングされていたり、酸化防止剤のビタミンEがそもそも酸化しやすい油に混ぜられているせいか、どんなに良いと謳われているフードでも輸入等で開封時から酸化した油の臭いがして、猫が受け付けません。しかもそれらを少し食べるとすぐに下痢や泥状便となってしまう猫もいます。その点、フィーラインナチュラルは酸化しやすい油でコーティングされていませんし、フリーズドライなので劣化しにくく、すぐにお腹を壊すうちの猫も、普通の固形便になります。お値段が本国NZの倍というのがなかなか手が出ないので、お腹を壊しやすい猫に多く与え、他の猫にはトッピング扱いですが、よく食べます。
