Not only a great buy- this is a great tool!
Caulking guns have been long overdue for better designs, and this one is. As a builder using such things for decades, this is the best basic one I've ever seen, at any price- and the price is very good for the quality. The way the plunger is designed keeps residual pressure off the contents unless the handle is under pressure, and that is what gives it the non-drip advantage. The built in tube puncture tool is notmal- but the built in tip cutting tool is uncommon and saves time and labor. Built nice, comfortable and the built-in nozzle plug will save a lot of partially used caulk tubes from loss. Excellent product, I think the one to chose.

Wow great tool for a great price
This is really a well made caulking gun. I was very surprised with the quality and materials. It works really no drips. It's worth the money. My old caulk gun should be in a museum. My bad for waiting/ suffering so long.

Great product
I recently used the Newborn 930-GTD Drip-Free Smooth Hex Rod Cradle Caulking Gun for a home improvement project, and I found it to be a solid choice overall. Here’s why I give it four stars:Drip-Free Performance: True to its name, the caulking gun effectively prevents dripping and oozing of caulk when not in use. This feature helps maintain cleanliness and reduces waste during caulking jobs.Smooth Operation: The smooth hex rod design ensures consistent and controlled dispensing of caulk. It allows for precise application without jerking or uneven flow, resulting in neat caulking lines.Comfortable Grip: The ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, reducing hand fatigue during extended use. This is particularly beneficial for larger projects where continuous caulking is necessary.Durability: The caulking gun is well-built and feels sturdy. It withstands frequent use and doesn’t show signs of wear easily, which speaks to its durability and reliability over time.Affordability: Compared to other caulking guns with similar features, the Newborn 930-GTD offers good value for money. It performs admirably without breaking the bank, making it a practical choice for DIY enthusiasts.Overall, the Newborn 930-GTD Drip-Free Smooth Hex Rod Cradle Caulking Gun has exceeded my expectations with its performance, comfort, and durability. While there are minor improvements that could enhance its usability further, it’s a reliable tool that gets the job done effectively.

If you do caulking it's a must-have. The no drip feature really really works
Love it. Wish I would have got it decades earlier. Some YouTube channel recommended it as a good non-drip caulking gun. It absolutely works. When you let off the trigger. The plunger actually retracts slightly and that's how it achieves the non-drip. It's the same as if you manually pull the plunger out on the old fashioned caulking guns. But yeah this one's great. I'm very very happy

TOTALLY WORTH IT - ACTUALLY drip free, lightweight, sturdy, smooth & consistent trigger
The media could not be loaded. After using a regular caulking gun for years, I was skeptical this product would be notably better but IT IS. Standard caulking guns require me to release the pressure on the caulk tube even after I release the trigger to avoid the release of caulk. When I release the trigger on the Newborn Octogun, the caulk flow actually stops, hence the no-drip.I can't tell you how many times I would forget to release the pressure on the tube only to look back and see a pile of wasted caulk that I would then have to clean up.• I used on: Trim, windows, bathroom tile, toilet seals (Used both 100% silicone and regular caulk)• Product as described: Yes• Quality: High• Packaging: Ok.• Responses to other reviews: There is no learning curve for this product BUT there is a learning curve for caulking. It is better to watch videos on caulking vs. reading an instruction manual• Me: DIYer @ age 40.PROS:✔ Drip Free: IT ACTUALLY WORKS - See comment above.✔ Trigger - Smooth and consistent.✔ Lightweight, sturdy and comfortable handle✔ Built in tools - There is a spout cutter and a seal puncture tool.CONS:• NONE!!!TIPS:🔹 First time: If it is your first time caulking - watch a lot of videos on proper way to do it. It sounds silly for something conceptually so simple but it is an art form.🔹 Cleaning: Wipe it down after each use - don’t wait until there are multiple layers built up.🔹 Caulk tube cut: Watch videos on how to cut tube. Sand the tube at the cut. Seems silly but will dramatically improve your caulking.🔹 Material Compatibility: Ensure the caulk or sealant used is appropriate for the gun's 10:1 thrust ratio, as thicker materials may require more effort

Best darned caulking gun out there!
Best caulking gun EVER! To be fair, I saw this used and recommended on a you tube DIY video. I like the guy and his trim carpentry advice, so I took a chance and bought this caulking gun. It is AWESOME! No drip, that's a fact. Easy to use, comfortable hand grips and the BEST PART is that it only costs $12 bucks!! I have purchased other caulking guns in the past from the big box stores and they said they were dripless, yada, yada. They were total crap and I paid far more than I paid for this one. If you do a lot of caulking, adhesive work or any other "tube squeezing activities" you need this gun!

Best chalk gun I have owned!
I have owned 4 chalk guns in the past and I bought this one to address chalk drips for my baseboard replacement DIY job. This one performed well as advertised. Very minimum drip/waste if not at all. Will be throwing away my old chalk guns soon. Happy as a camper!
