Legendary Whitetails Mens Wool Blend Jacket Insulated Berber Lined Coat

Over the past 12 - 18 months, I've purchased an a very large amount of flannels; shirt jackets; henlys; hoodies; all by Legendary Whitetails. They have become my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE brand. They are such a much better quality than any other brand that it frustrates me that I didn't try them sooner. Today, this coat arrived and I couldn't be happier. When I made the purchase, I really wasn't 100% certain what I was going to get, as far as the weight/warmth. But I've been blown away by everything of theirs that I've purchased, I was pretty sure I wouldn't be let down. A) Size: I am 6' 3" and bounce between 225 - 240, depending on the time of the year. Thankfully, LW comes with tall options. I tried it on with just a t-shirt, and there was plenty of room. My point being, I would be wearing a base layer or even 2, when I wear it, so the fit would be perfect. B) Weight/Warmth: My body thermostat has run high all of my life. It takes some pretty cold temperatures, and me being in them for an extended period of time, before I was to bundle up. This coat, to me, would be a Winter coat. It's VERY warm. It has a solid weight without being cumbersome. I'm aware not everybody has the same likes/dislikes of cold weather, so someone could easily wear this in Fall temps. In short.....It looks amazing.......It fits perfectly.....It's extremely well made.....and you can't beat the price. If you're on the fence about whether or not to buy it, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

Wow! A really nice jacket. Much heavier weight than I was expecting. It's a very warm jacket. Overall quality and fit is great. Sizing is accurate. Definitely a purchase I feel good about.

Searched for a quality woolen coat for winter. Have a lighter coat that was cotton and sherpa, or thinner types. Due to my work I wanted a work coat that would last, be durable, and keep me warm. Legendary Whitetails kept coming up. Compared them to other coats and read the reviews. Ordered this coat. Overall it is by far the warmest, thick winter coat I have ever had the pleasure to own. Has 99% of what I was wanting in a coat. Had a woolen exterior, with Sherpa lining, and an insulation material in between. The sleeves have the quilted lining, no Sherpa in the arms. Quality zipper with a storm flap, and an extra wide collar that keeps the lower head and sides warm. The zipper can zip full length as well. Two large slash pockets that are quilt lined on both sides, two chest pockets with a classic button closure - with a spare button attached to the care instructions on the lower side of the coat. The only option I do miss that this coat does not have is an inside pocket, or pockets. If the coat did have inside pockets, one open, the other with a zipper, this coat would be the perfect coat for anyone. This is not a deal breaker however, more for a convenience option. This coat has some medium bulk, two insulated panels with a gap to keep one quite warm and dry. And so far this coat has exceeded my expectations on keeping me warm when outside or when driving. This is not one of those coats that can be worn indoors where it is already warm. Gets too hot to wear indoors for very long, maybe a few minutes at best. I trust it will keep me quite warm this year. The coat is not heavy, yet is quite resilient to the external temperatures. So far have warn it in 16° F weather. It will get its test more in the next few months. This coat can double as a blanket, and even as a lap blanket. Super soft, does not itch, and quite warm. Only wished I had gloves and a pair of outdoor riding chaps made from the same material so I could enjoy the outdoors while riding a recumbent trike. 100% Recommended. Well worth the extra cost for a quality warm coat.

This is a great jacket. It is warm, sized right, and priced well below other similar wool/blend jackets. Wish it had an interior pocket but that is my only delta, and I knew that when purchased.

It's nice and warm and fits well. I was worried about the zipper but that is holding up well. The only bad thing is that one of the pocket liners has ripped. Easily fixed but I think the liner material should be thicker.

I ordered this for my man who hunts. The wool shirt he wears to keep warm during wet and/or snowy hunting sessions was getting worn out. He loves this jacket so much he's decided to wear it all the time, not just hunting. I measured his chest before we ordered the green (mossy color) and he was exactly 46 inches. Bought the X-Large and it fit him perfectly and he loves it. The green picture online doesn't do the green justice, it's a very dark, but also a lovely shade of green. It reminds me of evergreen trees (pine and such). He looks great wearing this jacket. He said it was warmer than he expected for being relatively thin, which he also appreciated. There are only 2 drawbacks to this coat according to him - it doesn't have buttons as well as the zipper which would be nice in case he's out hunting and the zipper breaks. The zipper + button feature also tends to fare better in windy weather. It also does not have any inner pockets and the outer "hand" pockets (lower pockets) do not zip or button close like the ones on the chest.

I guess my first rating did not take as I keep getting asked to review again by Amazon. this is a great coat, warm and cozy. check your measurements and purchase one size bigger and you will have room for sweater etc. underneath. color is great and I had quite a few compliments about the coat. one suggestion to the manufacturer, please make the zipper one or two sizes bigger. it would be nice to be able to zip up with gloves on. not a big deal, but would be nice. I would definitely buy this coat again, but I do hope it will last me a long time before that happens. no photo, it looks exactly like it is advertised.

I am delighted with this Jacket, the delivery was swift and the jacket is a superb quality item. I was a little anxious after reading some reviews that suggested the since a move of production to China, this jacket was no longer of the quality when manufactured in India, My jacket arrived and I very quickly noticed my label read Made In Myanmar. I have to say that my example is a beautifully made garment, with no quality issues what so ever. The jacket feels and exudes quality and wraps around me like a warm blanket, the inner lining protecting me from a very chill wind and freezing conditions as I hoped it would. I made this purchase after researching this type of garment on You Tube, I had my heart set on a Filson Mackinaw Cruiser, but I could not justify spending six hundred pounds plus. I was fortunate enough to happen upon a posting comparing alternatives to the Filson jacket and the Legendary Whitetails jacket was included in this compilation, my eyes lit up as the two jackets look very similar however the Whitetails example was only eighty two pounds. I appreciate the Filson Cruiser is made with twenty six ounce Mackinaw wool, but I am overjoyed with my Legendary Whitetails jacket and will wear it time and time again especially on the cold winter evenings we experience on the East Coast in Suffolk, we live right on the coast and have severe easterly winds that chill you to the bone. Well done Legendary Whitetails, you have made me one very happy gent and Amazon should be applauded for their extremely fast and efficient service. I heartily recommend this item to any that are considering purchasing a warm woollen jacket that feels and looks top quality and protects against the bitter cold we often experience in this part of the world, five stars without a doubt!

Nice jacket, I mean a really nice jacket. Definitely won’t be wearing much underneath, it’d get too hot, highly recommend
