Ortopad® Bamboo Boys Eye Patches, 50/Box (Regular Size, 4+ yrs) Racing Flames Pack

Need: I got these for someone in my family who needs to patch daily for the next six months. Experience: We tried a variety of things like other patches and cloth covers, but these worked the best by far for us! Size: These are larger but not so large that they are too big. We had some smaller that did not work well. The size is perfect. Usage: We have not had any issues with eyebrows ripping off, etc., and they have gotten stuck on there before! We also remove very slowly, though. Presentation: The themes of these are very appealing which is helpful for the one patching. There is desire to wear these in the first place because the colors are fun and inviting. Comfort: They are very soft to the touch and do not leave long markings for us even with sensitive skin. Construction: I love that they are made in Italy and advertised as being a cleaner, less chemically ridden product. We have reactions to chemicals but have not had reactions with these. Overall: I am not looking anywhere else for eye patches moving forward. We have been so pleased with these and will recommend this product to others. I hope this review helps you!!

We’ve been using these eye patches for years. They stay in place and do not come off during play. They come in cute patterns and cover the the well.

Product is as advertised. Good product, fits most children, and has no problem with adherence. Will order again.

These are great! They actually stick on very good.

My son does not fight as much when it’s time to patch, because he likes the designs. The designs work over whichever side needs patching. The fabric is soft and the patch covers well. I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because he does say it hurts to remove it. He hasn’t said this with other patches that we have purchased. However, he’s not crying upon removal or showing irritated skin. It is just uncomfortable to remove for him.

My husband and I noticed that our son all of a sudden developed strabismus last summer. We immediately made him an appointment with the Ophthalmologist, who said structurally the eye was normal. Recommended glasses. Scheduled appt with Optometrist to get glasses in August. Minimal improvement noticed. Around the end of November, we noticed the strabismus worsening, sometimes seeing his eye wandering most of the day. I started to research treatment options. I was not about to drag this out being bounced around from doctor to doctor, meanwhile, knowing that the older you get the less likely correction will be. Many providers and patients recommended eye patches among other things. We started patching my son's dominant eye for 2-3 hours daily starting in December when the patches arrived. The first day we put the patch on, my son said everything was immediately blurry (in the wandering eye) for a few minutes. Then, started to get better as the eye worked to focus. My husband and I noticed that the wandering eye, initially (went crazy) started wandering worse and then seemed to lock into focus . Now, it is the end of January. The strabismus has improved significantly. Initially, we were noticing it majority of the day. Now, we only see it 2-3 times a week...usually when he is exhausted. Thinking of it, I can't remember seeing his eye wandering this week. I am very happy with these, and would highly recommend.

We were having a hard time getting my son to patch his eye without complaint, because his glasses kept slipping off with other patch brands, and it was very frustrating for him. His doctor gave us a sample of ortopads, we tried them, and suddenly it was no longer a struggle to get him to patch. They are: -comfortable for him -his glasses stay put -the patches adhere well -the designs are fun (he loves the racing flames!) -and, best of all, he willingly wears them! The only negative is that they adhere so well that it can be a little ouchy to get them off. It's just a minute though, and they leave no residue. Overall, I'd highly recommend these!

The images on Ortopad® Bamboo Boys Eye Patches made it so my child was more excited to wear the eye patch. Eye patches in general are hard for kids. Who wants to cover up an eye that works better to see. The fun designs made it, so my child could choose which design to wear each day. This choice gave more control over a hard situation. My child has been wearing eye patches for 2 years now, and they are getting better at understanding the importance, but it is still hard. I rated the comfort a 4/5 instead of 5/5 because eye patches in general are not comfortable. I do recommend these patches. I will be ordering more soon!

These were perfect for my kiddo - cheaper than local Walmart and fun patterns to help make patching a little more tolerable. Ortodpad is the best. Doesn’t hurt when being removed, covers fully.

Perfect size, perfect texture, perfect stickiness. I use these for my 7 yr old son who has a fairly large forehead. These fit him well and they are just the right amount of sticky. The fun designs make him excited to pick one out every day.

Work well for my 4 year old son. These are the patches his specialist recommends. I do notice that if he goes swimming or gets wet with them on, they leave glue on his skin. Still, very good product, fun pictures.

We have been using this brand of eye patch for the past couple of years to help our son with his ptosis. He finds the patterns engaging and exciting, and generally finds the patches comfortable to wear for several hours at a time. The glue does stick a little too well, so he does strain to take it off. That said, these are a good product and I would recommend it.
