Quick delivery and well packed. Putting it together was a little puzzling in parts but 30 minutes later it was all done. The diagrams were helpful, together with the guide numbers that were fixed to the various components, to identify which was which. That seems to be fairly new as it's not mentioned in earlier reviews. The unit also has tooth plates welded on the ends of all 6 struts which is not shown on the diagram (the instructions only show 3) and that threw me for a minute or so but it's all very logical when you think about it. In use, the saw horse is excellent. It's strong and stable and gives you confidence to use both hands on the saw if you want, with one foot on the cross-bar to give you the feeling of holding the whole frame down, although I don't think that's really necessary. Since I bought it a couple of days ago I've sawn up a large assorted batch of stored branches, some quite large, and the horse has coped with them all without any problems. I tend to saw off one end of the horse, so catching the cross-bar isn't a problem either, but if you're worried about it I've also found it's possible to saw most of the way though the middle of shorter logs, while they are one the whole horse, and then finish them off by moving the log onto the single last strut, and holding onto it to make the last cuts off at the end. This is made easier because the teeth are very good at holding the log firmly while you gently saw those final cuts. Having struggled to saw logs on a workbench this is a thousand time better and I wish I'd bought one a lot sooner. Given the quality, it was an excellent price too.

After reading the reviews on several metal sawhorses I took a punt on this one from Oregon and as it turned out I made the right choice, as it has exceeded my expectations. It arrived very quickly and the weighty box gave me a good feeling as you need weight and strength in a sawhorse. I unpacked it all (it was well protected by large amounts of protective wrap) checked everything was there and laid it all out on the living-room floor, where I then familiarised my self with all the component parts against the assembly instructions. To be honest once you have understood how it fits together (using the Amazon product pictures and assembly sheet) it is a 30 minute task and seriously if anyone has major issues with this then they should not be let loose with a chainsaw. The secret is to ensure the serrated edges are at the top and the three leg sets are put together with the serrations facing inwards and a locking bar at each end with the two short vertical bars in the middle going down to two lateral support bars, then the rest falls into place. Yes, there are no spanners supplied, but, it only requires a couple of 13m and 14m open and ring spanners to do the job and again if you do not have your own toolset at home you probably are not the right person to be running around with a chainsaw! Once it was assembled I rechecked the tightness of all the bolts and nuts and took it outside for a bit of Stihl 2 stroke chainsaw action. So, here are the facts after a solid heavy duty log cutting session: 1. It is a robust solid structure with a good coating of deep red paint which supported some of my heaviest 6 to 8 ft logs weighing up to 16 kgs. 2. The serrated edges really gripped the logs and stopped any turning, obviously each log was rammed down into place to ensure the edges were gripping it. 3. I adjusted the sawhorse width to ensure different sized logs were getting maximum grip and the end locking bars did their job with no slippage. 4. There was no problem with cutting down through the logs anywhere across the width of the horse as there are a few inches below each log prior to meeting the metal bars below with plenty of room to finish the cut, just so long as you know how to use a chainsaw and it is sharp, so you are not putting too much weight on it during the cut. After use the horse folds up nearly flat and goes nicely into the shed. So would I recommend it?.............hell yes this is a great bit of kit and it is well up to the task it is intended for and I am glad I put down most of the negative review comments to people that are not used to handling tools and basic DIY. None of these very few negative comments were borne out and I am blown away by this truly great addition to chainsaw (or bowsaw) log cutting, well done Oregon.

Well, let's start with the assembly diagram... I would have been shocked that it's simply wrong, but I came to this after trying the Einhell metal sawhorse, which has even worse wrong diagrams, cuts your hands while assembling (too fiddly to do with gloves) and doesn't work when you've finally managed to assemble it. So the step needed to correct the wrong diagrams on this seemed fairly obvious (number 1 piece needed to go the the other way round to what the diagram shows), and once I'd done that, it was actually an easy assembly as the pieces are nice to work with (but don't overtighten the bolts as the frame will start to buckle). And then, for the price it's a very nice little sawhorse indeed. Not for massive logs, obviously, but can take decent sized ones. and also quite short ones using just two of the jaws that are placed closer together than the other two. The serrated edges are really useful and it's odd that some sawhorses don't provide them. I can't quite believe that manufacturers produce wrong assembly diagrams, when that's the only guidance wwe get these days - surely the only appropriate punishment is a firing squad? Or perhaps it's some abysmally paid Chinese worker who's sick of western people profiting from his misery, in which case, respect for cunningly giving them hours of frustration.

In today's world so many products are mediocre or poor. So its good to buy something that is well-engineered, manufactured to high standards, and exceptionally good value the money. I haven't used it yet, but I have assembled it today, and it looks as though it will last a lifetime - solid and strong. The Oregon Saw Horse came very well packaged. The assembly instructions (as ever, pictorial only) need a little close study before commencing, and the assembly does take a while. It took me about an hour to complete (which included my searching my toolboxes for two 10 mm spanners, only to discover that you require a couple of larger ones too - I used 9/16 and 1/2 AF for the large bolts - this is not explained on the instruction sheet) It also takes a little bit of practical savvy and experience to decide how to approach the assembly, so like another reviewer has said, if you haven't the skills to assemble this, you probably shouldn't be using a saw horse anyway, especially as it is designed to be used with a chainsaw. I do not generally spend valuable time writing reviews, but I am very happy to be able to give this a high recommendation. Five plus stars. It seems to be increasing in price, I paid under £30, so grab it if you need a saw horse.

Sturdy. Good value. Survived being clipped by accident by the saw. It took about 30mins to assemble as I put bits on backwards at first. Assembly was fine all the bits were there and no wasted throw away spanners.

Excellent product, does what it supposed to. No bending down to chain saw logs . Holds quite thick and heavy loads as well . Really secure and much safer than trying to cut them off the floor. Very impressive. A bit fiddly to put up instructions not to good, but well worth the cost.

Quite complicated to put together but maybe that was just me. Fairly easy to use however I think the cross bar needs to be lower, it’s easy to catch it when cutting through the wood .

Actually a decent bit of kit for cutting light logs, but the instructions are absolutely terrible. No commentary, just picture instructions that don't match the actual pieces, and pieces with no numbers, although instructions show that there is. Took way longer than it should have and had to build by process of elimination. Shame

Me sorprendió lo fuerte y bien construido que está este producto. Mi único comentario negativo es que las instrucciones de montaje no son las mejores. Cuando pasé de la primera etapa a la segunda, no se hizo evidente que habían dado vuelta los subconjuntos, de modo que el subconjunto dos ahora estaba en la parte superior del diagrama en lugar de en la parte inferior y había cambiado de lugar con el subconjunto uno. Una vez que me di cuenta de eso (los diagramas están etiquetados, pero son muy pequeños), todo estaba bien. Las instrucciones también solo muestran el requisito de 2 llaves de 10 mm. También se requieren una llave de 13 mm y una de 14 mm. ¡Un muy buen producto!

Bin sehr zufrieden, das Produkt ist durchdacht und leicht zu montieren. Die Anleitung ist völlig korrekt, man muss nur genau hinsehen, weil alles sehr klein gezeichnet ist. Das Gerät steht stabil und fixiert das Holz zuverlässig. Weil ich 190cm groß bin, muss ich leider gebückt arbeiten...
