Get something pre-assembled.
Just flat out awful. Arrived broken, horrible instruction manual. Broke my back trying to fix my back.

Solid, comfortable - a good value for a higher end board
This is a very nice product, affordably priced for the added value in comfort and durability, including cushy front and back padded ankle rollers which not all boards have. It's manufactured in Germany and has a solid well-constructed feel to it. Not flimsy or made with poor materials. The back cushion is very comfortable and supportive and the whole unit is easily adjustable to be perfectly balanced depending on your height. My Mom, who is in her 70's, uses it with ease too. It has nice ergonomically curved handles which make it easy to come up again (from a decline position) no matter how far down you go, as opposed to other brands that only have a straight handle. The board folds and can be stood against the wall, but it still has more weight and depth than I expected. It will certainly not disappear into your closet - and honestly, to make the most use of it, it's better to have a place where it can be always set up - since folding and unfolding becomes a bit of a chore. The one disappointment was the instructions. They're very similar to IKEA's - a few sheets of paper, very few words, & not very thoroughly thought out - 2 or 3 times I had to undo things because I'd missed one detail. If you've ever put together IKEA furniture, you'll know what I'm talking about. But overall I highly recommend the Kettler board. It has the comfort and durability to last you for life.

Stout, German, performs as advertised
This Kettler Apollo Inversion table is very well made and advertises an ability to take pressure off unhappy human spines and pinched nerves thereby relieving pressures on spinal nerves which can be wrecking of your life. I did not find it cured the problems which required spinal fusion which Thank God, was successful. The inversion table might be one way to stave off daunting spine surgery. My spine surgery at the Cincinnati Spine Institute saved my life. The Table's one drawback is that it usually cannot make misplaced tissues migrate back to their rightful positions just by spreading apart diseased bones.

great back swing
High quality, nice design, good customer service (a piece damaged in shipment was replaced with no hassle). Compared to my old American Sports back swing, on which the nylon finally gave out after 25 years, this is higher quality everywhere, and the curved handles are a handy feature for pulling yourself back to upright position in case you're not balanced perfectly. The only downside is that assembly is not easy or obvious, and the instructions are incomplete and poorly written.

Awesome
Great inversion table and nothing other than the instructions to complain about. Very comfy and relatively easy to use. The instructions on how to put it all together blew chunks. The steps were in the wrong order and had to disassemble it once due to this.

Excellent device, excellent value
I bought this because a solid backing board was a priority for me. I have had and used mine for over 10 years, and it's still going strong. Excellent device, excellent value, excellent construction, and would not hesitate to buy one again.

Great product--precise settings
...I agree with the other reviewers, very solid, instructions minimal, not portable. A nice feature is that the degree of incline is regulated by steel bars with adjustable quarter inch pins, not a nylon strap. Which means precise control, as you gradually get used to steeper settings, and also different people could easily use the machine and have their own settings....As regards use of such a machine, I believe it is possible to injure oneself easily if one's back and stomach muscles aren't strong. Especially if older it's probably good to build up strength with the yoga poses: locust and cobra first, and begin very gradually with the inversions.

Heavy, solid, well constructed inversion table
I agree with the other reviewer that this wasn't as easy to put together as it could have been. I actually enjoy assembling things, but the instructions that came with this were a bit challenging. It is a very solid, comfortable (love the back and ankle padding) inversion table. The bolts, frame, parts and connections are all oversized, solid and heavy -- This table will last a long time. I love that it's Made In Germany. If you're new to inversion tables and have a bad neck or back -- You need to get one of these. I spend less than 30 minutes on this each day and --WOW-- does my neck/back feel great!
