The umbrellas are very well made, and stylish too, depending on what style you order. The size is perfect for traveling as it folds up nicely and fits in our cross body bags. They have an automatic opening and closing button, which is a nice feature. One little quirk - when you click on the "Close" button on the handle, the umbrella snaps shut so you can manually retract it and tie the velcro cord around it. However, the only way to open it back up is to full retract it to the closed position, then hit the "Open" button. If you just click on the "Close' button, the umbrella retracts but it's still in the extended position. In this position, you cannot open it back up without fully locking it in the closed position (hope I explained this ok). Other than that, it performed great in the wind and rain. We used them on our recent vacation off and on for 4-6 weeks, and never had a problem. One rainy day, I was using my umbrella and slipped on the wet pavement. I dropped the umbrella and my hand or arm must have fallen on it, and one of the spines broke. It was still usable though. I happened to receive an email asking how I liked the umbrella, and in the email I noticed that it had a lifetime guarantee, so I told them what happened to the umbrella when I fell. I received an immediate response from Rebecca in their umbrella support team, who said she would replace the umbrella immediately. Within a week, I received a replacement umbrella. So not only do they have a great product, but their customer service support is fantastic. I would recommend this product and this company to anyone!

I bought this umbrella for my 14 year-old son because his last umbrella was falling apart and the spokes were poking through the fabric. On rainy days, he takes the umbrella with him to school where it often gets windy around the campus. I wanted to make sure that we got an umbrella that was windproof or at least wind resistant. This umbrella works well for him and he likes the look of the pinstripe design. It seems like it’s well-made and should last him for a few years at least. He also likes that it has a cover included.This umbrella folds up easily and is a good value for the money.

I like these for what they are: small, compact umbrellas for those occasional situations. They’re not meant for heavy rain, of course - I knew that going in. I have one at home, one in my car, and one at work, so they cover me for most typical rain. After about six years of owning them, the handle started getting gummy/sticky (the hot, humid climate here probably doesn’t help). I searched the comments here and saw others mention the same thing. I almost forgot about the lifetime warranty, but I wrote to the company and they responded right away. I sent proof of purchase and photos of the issue, and they shipped replacements without any hassle. Much respect to the company for standing behind their product.

I've used this all of once. Just fine so far. It's not a 5 star rating because the grip is a little short - smaller than my palm and the loop for the wrist works but is a little shorter than usual and doesn't have any elasticity. Fits nicely in my messenger bag and automatic opening/closing is fine, very springy but not too hard to press

This is not a mini umbrella, but the right size for travel. Very well constructed with strong ribs and excellent material for rain and sun. Lightweight. It just went to South Korea with me and back. Fit very well in my carry on luggage. I would purchase another one. My color was charcoal gray with a light colored pinstripe. Fashionable, even for a guy.

Quality umbrella; has survived several very gusty Chicago storms without any damage. Love auto-open/close. Good short size to fit into carry bag, but a little heavy for travel when weight matters. Pinstripe fabric looks nicely professional.

I bought this because it was top of the list in a NY Times Wirecutter review of travel umbrellas. I was able to test it on a very windy, stormy day in the streets of Manhattan where the wind gusts surprise you at every street corner. This umbrella passed with flying colors. The product is sturdy, very easy to open and close (1 click both ways), and totally waterproof. It's big enough to shelter one person well, two at a pinch, and folded up it fits nicely in the water-bottle holder on the side of my backpack.

At first, I thought this umbrella was poor quality product, which rain leaked inside. After using a few weeks more, I found that the umbrella is durable, firm even after flipping inside out several times at heavy wind. The umbrella structure is unique - made of two seperated cloths. This structure, which made water leak a bit, but it makes this umbrella more durable, good for long use.

I received a flimsy, pink striped, low quality umbrella that doesn't match the price or description at all. Requested a return.
