Days Self Propelled Folding Wheelchair Aluminium, Narrow 41cm Ruby Red

I broke my ankle and found crutches alien. This is the perfect solution. Light, well made and controllable I used it for a solid 6 week period. Easy to use brakes, easy to fold and store. My first encounter with a broken limb and this was an enormous help though a tricky time.

This is the second one I have purchased. Not for myself but my friend aswell. The quality of it is really good. And the fact that there is breaks on the handle nars is really good. My late father had this chair for around a year and it made it lot easier for us to push. It's good the feet some off and swing around and it can make it easier for thr person in the chair. Or getting into the car. It's good that it has got the large wheels aswell because people can feel a little bit independent. My late father used to feel himself for a cigarette in hospital and not wait for anyone. And when i needed assistant cause of a slope or hill he was able to assist me with the wheels Because it was so good we told a friend about it who then got us to order one.

Got this wheelchair for my wife. It's a nice little chair and great for short journeys, but I'm not sure that it's comfortable enough for longer or more frequent use. It folds up quite easily and can be stored out of the way, but it is quite heavy and you would probably require assistance to carry it. We also found it frequently got caught in holes in the pavement and one time my wife got ejected out of the chair! She saw the funny side, but it could do with having more substantial front wheels.

Fantastic wheelchair. Easy to disassemble to fit in the boot. Wheels and foot plates can be taken off easily and handles fold down. A little heavy but very sturdy and comfortable with an additional cushion on the seat bought separately. Breaks on the handles as well as the wheels so can be controlled from in the chair or by the person pushing. Really pleased with it.

Being in hospital, I needed a wheelchair for the next day, looked on Amazon and found this wheelchair, nice colour and noticed the breaks on the handles if anyone was to push and thought that’s a good idea. I looked at the reviews and it said 1 star. Feeling puzzled, I dug unto the reviews and found there was one other review. Well my box was not damaged, neither is the wheel chair and bring light weight, my wife took it straight out the box. (She’s now zooming up and down like a big kid) but it’s a great buy.

We had bought this wheelchair to help me move around: I can walk on most days (with crutches) but a couple of times a month, I become completely immobile for up to several days without warning. Unfortunately, the Days Lite Self Propelled wheelchair was not the solution for me. This wheelchair was unstable and unable to gain proper traction. Wheels were wonky, were not always all touching the ground and were slipping; even on a level surface and when trying to sit as perfectly straight in the middle of the chair as possible. It was extremely heavy to move myself around in it. This wheelchair was difficult to control, as it kept veering off, even on a straight path. I was out of breath after just a few minutes of struggling to keep the chair moving in a straight line (I did not manage!). I would not dare use it on my own - too dangerous, especially as the breaks were very poor. When pushed, the chair did not perform better. The wheelchair was uncomfortable to sit in whilst being pushed, with a lot of movement in the frame - the frame felt warped as we were moving. We also had the greatest difficulty keeping the wheelchair going straight when it was pushed - it kept drifting to the right Overall, the chair was uncomfortable and I would not be able to sit in it for a couple of hours: the chair does not have any suspension, the armrests are hard, the backrest is not very supportive and the footrests can only be height adjusted. Even with the footrests at their lowest, I had to pull up my legs too high, with my knees at an uncomfortable angle. It felt like sitting in a child's wheelchair. This chair is not designed for someone with longer legs (I am only 5.4ft or 1.64m). We tried three different Days wheelchairs - first the narrow silver blue chair (£79.99, 27 Sept. 2024), followed by two standard racing green chairs (£161.49, 2 Oct. 2024). We did not try the first racing green chair, as it arrived damaged and was replaced. Both the narrow silver blue and the standard racing green models had the same problem of being unstable and pulling to the side. The green chair had the added problem of slipping brakes. My weight is well below the maximum user weight and both my husband, who was pushing the chair, and I are experienced wheelchair users. The Days wheelchair was returned. It is dangerous to use outside, unreliable and unfit for purpose.

Great, versatile, 2nd one purchased

Love the colour! A little squeaky sometimes and struggles to get over some bumps but really helpful to have. I will say if you’re a little unsure on if you need the larger version or not, definitely go for the one up! I was deciding between the two, being a bigger size, and I do wish I got the bigger one just as I catch the handles sometimes when getting in and out of it.

Looks good. Works good. costs good. This Wheelchair is well made and looks very good. The handing is easy. Not much putting together is needed. Very sturdy and easy to push. some minor issues are some of the locking mechanisms arent well suited for elderly (heavy or hard to grab). TLDR: top product with suboptimal locking mechanisms.!
