Were these replaced with a different product?

yes it was replaced with a different product when apparently Vision Bites not available. My dog refused to eat the replacement, (so I donated to my Vet). Then Vision Bites became available once again... Dyna readily eats this "treat" daily. Has been on it way over a year when a little cloud started - is now barely noticeable...

I have small 6-lb dog. Should I give him 1/2 chew instead?

Our dog is about 12 pounds and I give him a chew each morning. Perhaps start your dog off with 1/2 in the morning and then 1/2 at night if you are concerned with giving all of it at one time. The instructions for dispensing state 1 chew for dogs up to 25 pounds, I believe, so I would go with that or perhaps send a note to the manufacturer and ask them. But I, personally, would go with 1/2 chew in the morning and make sure everything is okay, and then add the other half at night.

does this actually have chicken in it or is it vegan?

The label says it contains natural chicken flavor, and cod liver oil. That wouldn’t be vegan. But, my dogs love them! Dogs need/crave meat.
