ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SUN JOE SPX3000
I RENT A GAS PRESSURE WASHER EVERY YEAR FOR VARIOUS PROJECTS AROUND THE HOUSE, I HAVE USED GAS PRESSURE WASHERS TO REMOVE CHIPPING PAINT FROM THE CINDER BLOCK FOUNDATION IN PREPARATION TO REPAINT, BUT MOSTLY I USE IT YEARLY TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALKWAY, DRIVEWAY AND PATIO. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS. DUE TO A RECENT INJURY I AM UNABLE TO LIFT HEAVY ITEMS, SO THIS YEAR I DECIDED TO LOOK AT ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHERS. I DID MY HOMEWORK, I WENT TO HOME DEPOT AND LOWE'S AND I SEARCHED THE INTERNET AND WATCHED YOU TUBE VIDEOS AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS. THE SUN JOE SPX3000 ALWAYS STOOD OUT FROM THE REST IN ALL THE REVIEWS I READ. I ORDERED ONE FROM AMAZON.COM. IT WAS TEMPORARILY OUT OF STOCK, BUT HAD THE BEST PRICE I COULD FIND INCLUDING FREE SHIPPING. ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER I HAD MY NEW PRESSURE WASHER. IT TOOK ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALL EIGHT ITEMS: 1. THE HANDLE, (FOUR SCREWS) 2. THE TRIGGER GUN HOLDER, (JUST POPS ON) 3. THE SPRAY WAND PROTECTOR- (ONE SCREW AND A POP IN TAB)-THIS WAS A LITTLE TRICKY, THE TAB DID NOT WANT TO LOCK IN, BUT IT FINALLY DID) 4. THE DETERGENT BOTTLES- (THEY WERE ALREADY IN PLACE BUT NEEDED TO BE "SEATED) 5. THE HOSE HOLDER (SLIDES IN PLACE AND IS HELD ON WITH ONE SCREW) 6. CONNECT ONE END OF THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE TO TO THE REAR OF THE UNIT AND THE OTHER END TO THE TRIGGER GUN. (ONE END IS MADE FOR THE TRIGGER GUN AND THE OTHER END IS MADE TO CONNECT TO THE UNIT.) 7. ATTACH THE WAND TO THE TRIGGER GUN. 8. ATTACH THE PLASTIC WATER INLET COUPLER TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT-(THIS IS WHAT MOST PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT WHERE LEAKING OCCURS. MINE LEAKED TOO. I JUST REMOVED IT AND CAREFULLY RE INSTALLED IT MAKING SURE IT WAS NOT CROSS THREADED AND THERE WAS NO MORE LEAKING. IT DID START LEAKING AGAIN AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF USAGE. I HAD TO REMOVE THE COUPLER AGAIN, THIS TIME I REMOVED THE SMALL BLACK WASHER OR O-RING AND TURNED IT OVER. I MADE SURE IT WAS SEATED CORRECTLY, THEN RE INSTALLED THE COUPLER. IT HAS NOT LEAKED AGAIN. THE POWER PLUG ON THIS UNIT IS HUGE. IT HAS A BUILT IN GROUND FAULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER BUILT IN FOR SAFETY. THE PLUG IS SO LARGE IT WOULD NOT FIT INTO MY OUTDOOR OUTLETS SO I HAD TO USE A SHORT 5 FOOT EXTENSION CORD DESIGNED FOR PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONERS. THIS WORKED FINE. I TESTED THE GROUND FAULT AND IT TOO WORKED FINE. YOU MUST NOT USE A COMMON HOUSE HOLD EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT. YOU MUST USE THE PROPER GAUGE EXTENSION CORD WITH THIS UNIT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN UP THE MOTOR. CONSULT THE OWNERS MANUAL FOR THE PROPER EXTENSION CORD. SO NOW I AM READY TO USE MY PRESSURE WASHER: 1. I DOUBLE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS PUT TOGETHER SECURELY 2. I HOOKED UP MY GARDEN HOSE TO THE FRONT OF THE UNIT (MAKE SURE THE HOSE IS NOT KINKED). I TURNED ON THE WATER FAUCET ALL THE WAY. (THAT IS WHEN I SAW THE FIRST WATER LEAK AND HAD TO RE INSTALL THE COUPLER) . 3. I PLUGGED IN THE POWER CORD (USING MY SHORT A/C EXTENSION CORD) AND MADE SURE IT WOULD NOT GET WET BY HANGING IT UP ON A PLANT HOOK ON MY PATIO. 4. I SNAPPED IN ONE OF THE QUICK CONNECT NOZZLES. (I DID NOT KNOW WHICH ONE WOULD WORK BEST FOR MY APPLICATION) 5. I RELEASED THE SAFETY LOCK ON THE TRIGGER. 6.. I SQUEEZED THE TRIGGER WHICH ALLOWS WATER TO FLOW THROUGH THE SYSTEM. 7. I TURNED ON THE MACHINE. IT WORKS!! I PLAYED AROUND WITH THE DIFFERENT NOZZLES. I WANTED TO CLEAN MY CONCRETE WALK WAY. THE GREEN NOZZLE 25 DEGREES WORKED BEST. I WAS AMAZED AT THE POWER OF THIS LITTLE MACHINE. IT CLEANED MY CONCRETE AS GOOD AS A GAS PRESSURE WASHER. I USED THIS FOR ABOUT FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT. I WAS VERY PLEASED. THE UNIT IS QUIET COMPARED TO A GAS UNIT, BUT I STILL WORE EAR PLUGS TO PROTECT MY HEARING. WHEN YOU RELEASE THE TRIGGER, THE MACHINE SIMPLY CUTS OFF AND THERE IS NO NOISE. OCCASIONALLY THE UNIT WOULD PULSE WITH VERY LOW PRESSURE ON RESTARTING, BUT RELEASING THE TRIGGER AND PRESSING IT AGAIN IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. I DID NOT USE THE DETERGENT BOTTLES, SO NO COMMENT. AS FAR AS LONGEVITY, THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN. I USUALLY USE A PRESSURE WASHER ONCE A YEAR SO I HOPE TO HAVE MINE FOR A QUITE SOME TIME. SUN JOE WARRANTS THE MACHINE FOR TWO YEARS. BOTTOM LINE. THIS IS A VERY POWERFUL ELECTRIC PRESSURE WASHER AND IS ALMOST AS GOOD AS A GAS UNIT. THIS MACHINE CAN CLEAN CONCRETE WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS, YOU CAN CLEAN VINYL SIDING, WOOD DECKS, PATIO FURNITURE, GAS GRILLS AND MORE. AND YES YOU COULD POSSIBLY DAMAGE SOMETHING IF YOU DO NOT USE CAUTION. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH MY SUN JOE SPX3000 AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED WITH A GAS POWERED PRESSURE MACHINE.

Excellent Pressure Washer with Impressive Cleaning Power
This pressure washer exceeded my expectations in every way. It has plenty of power for an electric unit and handled everything I threw at it, including dirty patios, sidewalks, fences, outdoor furniture, and even washing the car. It removed built-up dirt and grime much faster than I expected. Setup was quick and straightforward, and everything connected easily. The adjustable spray wand makes it simple to switch between different cleaning tasks without needing multiple attachments. The pressure is strong enough for tough jobs while still being easy to control. I also appreciate the Total Stop System, which automatically shuts the motor off when the trigger isn't being used. It helps reduce noise, saves energy, and gives the machine a more premium feel. The GFCI power cord adds another layer of safety, especially when working around water. Despite its cleaning power, the unit is lightweight enough to move around the yard without much effort. The 20-foot hose provides good reach for most jobs, and the overall design is compact enough to store easily when not in use. After using it several times, I'm extremely happy with the performance. It delivers consistent pressure, feels well built, and has made outdoor cleaning much faster and easier than using a regular garden hose. Overall, this is an outstanding pressure washer that offers excellent performance, thoughtful features, and great value. If you're looking for a reliable electric pressure washer for cleaning cars, patios, driveways, fences, or outdoor furniture, I highly recommend this one.

Easy to use, basic power washer, great for basic cleaning jobs
I bought the Sun Joe to clean tough stains off of our wood deck and to clean the dirt off of the lower part of our wood siding. I was also hoping it would help in cleaning the large windows we have. For the first two, it did the job. For the cleaning windows, I need some more practice. Getting the stains off of the deck took some time but I could see them coming off with the 15 degree nozzle. It just required a little patience. I actually like that it's not a professional power washer because that limits the amount of damage I can do with it :-). It's just about perfect what I need. It would not reach the second story windows from the ground with any real pressure, but it did rinse the worst of the dirt off. It did a nice job on the siding and the kitchen window, but not so good on the other first floor windows. Given that it did a nice job on the kitchen window, I am going to give it another try on the other windows. It's compact, light weight, easy to maneuver, and easy to store. Three lessons learned: (1) When you are putting it together (there are just a few steps), pay attention to the size of the screws you are using. There are four longer ones for attaching the upper assembly and two small ones for putting on the spray wand protector and the high pressure hose holder. The small ones will work just fine for the upper assembly, but then the large ones won't work for the other two assemblies. The instructions clearly label the steps that use the large screws and the steps that use the small screws. The sizes are not very different, but enough so that you need to pay attention. (2) Some reviews complained about it sometimes sputtering when the pump is first started. The instructions say to turn on the tap and hold down the power wand handle before starting the pump to let the water fill the pump and high pressure hose before turning on the pump. As soon as water at tap pressure starts coming out the wand, release the handle and turn on the pump. This clears all the air from the system before you start the pump and only takes a few seconds. (3) I almost bought the more expensive version that said it had a control for turning on/off the detergent. I am glad I didn't. This one (SPX3000) has a knob that lets you select which of the two detergent bottles to use or, by putting the knob in the middle, turn the detergent off. Works quite well.

I'm glad I didn't have to pay someone $300 just to ...
EDIT 2022: I drag this thing around since 2015. I bought it originally to do my deck. It did the job well. I finally unpacked it recently. I haven't used this in 6 years or so. Always in a closet somewhere. Let me tell you several things that will help you, as this product is top-tier, durable, and performing product. 1. Don't EVER leave the tips on after you use it. Recently I tried to start it up. It started for five seconds then turn off, then nothing. I was so upset since I dragged this around for so long, and to have it broken, it was breaking my heart. I read some other reviews. After a day or so, disconnected from the water, it will turn on. So the motor works fine. The thing I did wrong was to keep the white tip on there. Over the years, it corroded and it clogged up. Once it's clogged up, the pressure washer will detect that there is no outlet, and just shut-off on its own, so it doesn't self-explode to kill itself or kill you. When I took the white tip off with a screw driver, not connected or plugged in, it popped off like a champagne cork. After that, it worked great. 2. The soap only works with the black tip. Not sure if you know this. Also, the tube has to be connected correctly. They come disconnected on mine. 3. Buy a quick release connector. I swear, you will thank me for this. Not only does this keep the water from leaking, but it's just so much easier to connect, disconnect, then pack up. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07T5KRSPH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I was so worried when this machine didn't work, but ultimately, it was my fault for leaving the tip on for extended time, which causes the engine, and internal component to blow up - and that's why they have a built in pressure detector-shut-off feature. I'm really glad they did. I think some of you who didn't have a good time with it, it could be that the tip may have been clogged half way, and it allow it to function until it clogged fully. Buy this. Anything that lasts 7 years from Amazon is worth the buy. For someone around the house who doesn't mind putting the extra elbow grease, this is for you. What this is not is for professionals. 2015 Review: I was very skeptical about the electric powered washer, but for my job, it did it. I'll post some pix. I did my drive way, my deck, and all the stuff that I wanted to blast in between. The trick is to let it fill up first for about 5 minutes before you start using it. That part was confusing to me, but other than that, this thing is built well, and built with consideration and performance. I'm glad I didn't have to pay someone $300 just to do my drive way, because I did it myself, and let my neighbors borrow it to do theirs.

Exceeded My Expectations!
In a former life I used a pressure washer almost daily. The best pressure washers imho have a Honda GX series commercial grade engine, a CAT pump (which can be rebuilt) and 3000psi+ pressure. They clean well and hold up well over the long haul but are expensive, starting in the $700 to $800 range and out of my budget range. I didn't expect much when I ordered the Sun Joe SPX 3000 but I was pleasantly surprised especially considering the price (Deal of the Day) I paid. Ordered on a Sunday and it was sitting on the front porch Tuesday (thanks Amazon!). It's packed well and that's a good thing considering the box was found upside down- no damage thanks to the good packaging. Assembly is easy ... if you read the manual first, it's clear and concise. I'd use a regular or ratcheting screwdriver instead of a power tool (i.e.cordless drill or impact driver) on the self tapping screws used for assembly- there's far less risk of stripping the hole. Mine came with a metal supply fitting instead of the all plastic one others have mentioned - no leaks. The Good- it works well. The pro style gun tips make it versatile- even at just 2000 psi the 0 degree tip can do some real damage if you're not careful.. No, it doesn't have the power of a commercial grade pressure washer but so far it has done everything I and most homeowners would ask of it- clean siding, concrete walks, the nasty underside of a mower deck or your vehicle. It's quiet especially compared to gas engine powered pressure washers. There's no gas to buy or oil to change. Two year (residential use only) warranty, a better warranty than many. And real live U.S. based humans in customer service The Bad- it's a bit difficult to move with the 35' (iirc) power cord on the rear and the water supply hose on the front. And you WILL have to move it as there's only 20' of high pressure hose. I'm going to order Sun Joe's SPX-25H 25' extension hose later this month- 45 total feet of high pressure hose will save a lot of moving. I disconnect the supply hose before moving- the new supply coupling may be metal but it attaches to a plastic fitting on the machine. Dragging around 25' or more of garden hose can't be good for it. Suggestions- 1. Check your water supply before you buy any pressure washer. Take the hose you're going to use with the pressure washer and fill a 5 gal. bucket for exactly one minute. Check the quantity of water in the bucket- you should have at the very least what your pressure washer is rated for (1.76 GPM in the case of the Sun Joe) and preferably more.. Some older homes with galvanized steel water pipes have id's the size of a pencil due to years of sediment/corrosion and will not have enough water flow as will some homes on wells .... better to know before you buy. And if you have enough water flow, make sure you open your hose bib/wall hydrant/ spigot ALL the way, every time. Using a larger hose can help- I use a 3/4" commercial garden hose on mine instead of the usual 5/8". 2. Read the manual thoroughly before you start, especially if this is your first pressure washer.... you will probably save yourself some aggravation. 3. At first sign of freezing weather get your pressure washer to someplace where it won't freeze unless you want to wind up with an expensive plant stand on wheels. Conclusion- The Sun Joe SPX 3000 is a good machine at a great price and for most residential homeowners, it is as good as it gets. It's quiet, does the job, no gas to buy or oil to change. Update 9/13/20: It's still working and still no complaints. The extra length of hose has been helpful. Store it properly and you should get good life out of it.

Very impressed with the quality, price and performance.
I purchased the SPX3000 last week at a good price of $129 to clean a cedar fence before painting. I had left the fence unfinished in order for the wood to season and dry. As one would expect the year took a toll on the fence with dirt, bird droppings, dirt and mildew. The unit arrived as usual in two days with Prime shipping, double boxed in the usual Amazon container. It was well packaged and very easy to open and assemble. The detergent containers were already in place so it was just a matter of snapping a few pieces together and using 4 screws to put everything in place. My first impression was the materials and connections were good quality. Nothing bothers me more than seeing a piece of plastic instead of metal in a high stress location where you know at some point it is going to fail. I learned from the reviews that Sun (now Snow) Joe has been replacing the plastic hose connector with a metal piece. That is very good news - I wish other companies would follow their lead. Once I had everything together I got to work and was extremely impressed by the machine's performance. At first I was concerned with the 5 wand tips for the various angles/pressure that have to be switched by snapping them on the end of the wand. I thought for sure I'd be losing them. Sun Joe however provides a convenient location for storing them, by snapping them into a post at the top of the unit. They fit securely and are easy to remove. One tip, be sure to snap them in securely to the wand as one time I was at fault and didn't check the fit and it fell off. My fault completely. In order to remove the tips there is a quick release piece that works flawlessly. The unit worked without a hitch for 5-6 hours for 2 days. Easy to pull around, no leaking at the hose connectors, a wand that is light, sturdy and easy to use. The motor is not loud and the pressure is very impressive. You have to be very careful as this is high pressure. At one point on uneven ground I slipped and inadvertently sprayed the fence cutting into the wood. One must be very careful and I hope it goes without saying not to have any children near the unit during operation. I can easily see something like a detached retina happening if sprayed in the face. Safety glasses are a good idea, as in the back of my fence space is limited and I was covered in debris spraying back at me. The 15 degree tip cut right through the very stubborn mildew at the bottom and top of the fence. Very powerful. After the job I cleaned the unit by wiping it off with a small towel and it is resting in the cellar for the next job. Longevity of the unit is important to me so I hope this will last a number of years without problem. A couple of observations. There is a dial to turn on each of the detergent tubs (one at a time). The detergent is not supposed to be coming out of the wand without the soap tip on the wand. I am not sure but a couple of times it looked like it was coming out but it may have been excess soap on the fence. I will need to look more closely on the next job. Also, I wish there was a slightly larger holding piece for the extension cord and brick plug. I will need to see if I can fit it in more securely for storage. All in all, I am very impressed with the quality and performance of this unit. I'll post back if anything changes.

Still running after 3 years
If you’re looking for a machine that will serve general home purposes this is it. I use it to wash the car every couple weeks and light concrete cleaning such as driveway and some other areas. For the car it’s great. Soap dispenser and pressure tips get the job done every time. For the driveway it depends on the condition and what you’re trying to do. Will it clean and give great results. Yes. Will it clean as fast or as good as a $1000+ machine. No. When I compare it to similarly priced machines I find that it performs way above them. I’m happy with it. My only complaint would be that I would’ve liked if it came with a more durable front connection that your water supply connects to. That part can leak a bit and requires re tightening every use or so. Tightening it fixes it so not enough to take a star away. It isn’t as good as the other connectors it comes with though

Well Worth the Price
The good: lightweight and easy to use. has very long electric supply cord as well as long sprayer hose. Comes with multiple nozzles, allowing many versatile uses. The not so good.: the hose could be less stiff. The rigid supply hose gets away is hard to roll among other things. Also the assembly instructions are slightly confusing on how they relate to the diagrams they supply. Overall, well worth the price and it works very well.

Great Product
Great Price and product. Been using it for years now and still works great. Like the 5 different nozzle attachments for altering the pressure required.

So far so good
Its been good so far. I've used the product about 3 times and nothing has gone wrong. The plastic does feel a bit cheap, but understandable at the price point. Washes cars and washes floors well. Wished the additional attachments were cheaper

NO COMPRAR, poca durabilidad
No duro ni un año, la pieza que se conecta a la manguera es de plastico muy fragil y no tiene repuesto ni solucion.
