Why didn't I buy these sooner?
I had avoided buying this tool for a decade. I always just removed the fan from the clutch, struggling every time, trying not to break anything. With the fan removal tool, I had the clutch off in a few minutes, no damage to the radiator, and knuckles intact. These are very well made. They have a nice heft to them. Worked perfect on my W210 chassis Mercedes.

Won't work with T1N 04-06 Sprinter
Bought this tool in hopes to make removing the reverse threaded bolt that runs through the fan clutch/pulley/ water pump on T1N 04-06 Sprinters. Although tool seems well made it isn't slender enough to fit between the clutch and the water pump pulley at all. Also I noticed while using spare parts, the pulley bolts do align with holes in the tool, however, the holes in the tool are too small to fully grab the pulley bolts... making this tool useless in 2 ways.

ALERT**********THIS TOOL WORKS ON SPRINTER VEHICLES WITH THE MERCEDES 3.0 TURBO DIESEL ENGINE
THE TOOL ARRIVED ON TIME VERY NICELY PACKED. I OPENED THE BOX AND WALKED OVER TO ONE OF THE DODGE SPRINTS ON THE LOT. THIS TOOL HELD THE WATER PUMP PULLEY WHILE I USED MY OTHER HAND TO TURN THE 36 MM WRENCH TO THE RIGHT. NO HASSLE, THE FAN CLUTCH WORKED THE FIRST TIME. FAN AND WATER PUMP WAS REMOVED NEW WATER PUMP INSTALLED IN 15 MINUTES. THIS WAS POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE WRENCH LOCKED ON THE BOLT PATTERN. THIS SPRINTER WAS WASHED AND BACK IN SERVICE IN TOTAL 30 MINUTES. TOTAL SAVINGS PARTS/LABOR, AND THIS TOOL SET $1279.00 I RECOMMEND THE SELLER AND THIS WRENCH SET, GO SPRINTER NATION

Couldn't open mine.
This had a little trouble fitting on my 4.3L M113 but I eventually did get it on, the problem is that mine apparently was wayyyy to tight to open with this thing.

Not universal but can be modified to work
Although spec'd for mercedes, this does NOT work on current gen 2019+ sprinters. The 3 hole wrench had to be cut and rewarded to fit inside the pulley to properly prevent the crankshaft from rotating.
