F10 SC Concentrated Veterinary Disinfectant Odorless - 200ml

F10SC is used in veterinarian settings, alongside a steamer, to disinfect between (pet) patients. If you have numerous pets, especially ones of similar species that can get eachother sick, I highly recommend it! I make a solution of 7ml in 32oz of filtered water to use. This is a stronger than usual mix, so if your pets aren’t struggling with contagious illnesses or bad immune systems I recommend 3.5ml instead. Also, the efficiency of your solution (NOT the bottle you purchased!! The solution you make with mixing F10SC in water) will degrade as it ages. Make only enough to use in a week. Any longer will make your F10SC solution obsolete. But! My newly rescued bearded dragon had coccidia, a parasite that is prone to reinfecting the host because of eggs left behind on surfaces. Coccidia can only be killed using extreme heat OR an ammonia based cleaner. But we all know ammonia isn’t nice to smell, even at a 10% concentration. This has ammonium in it though. A small amount, but still something. For treatment, I used the 7ml mixture to clean her tank daily alongside a passover of 120f steam from my handheld steamer. A few weeks of that, and her results came back negative for any parasites with no reinfection months after while still using the F10SC and steam every week or to spot clean. I also use this for my parrot, my dog, surfaces my pets come in contact with that need cleaning, and even previously disease-ridden fish tanks (that are empty and well rinsed AFTER the F10SC is used). It’s almost entirely odorless, leaves no stains, isn’t corrosive, and is non-irritating (when in the proper concentrations) to my pets from my experience. I recommend you pick this up for the value it offers over the pre-made F10 bottle too. Seriously, only takes a few min to make and you get 20+ uses in this one container. Get a small syringe as well to measure it out properly, and get a handheld steamer if you’ve got an extra 20$ to drop. Doesn’t need to be anything expensive, steam is always gonna be hot enough to kill most bacteria/viruses/etc. Tl;dr best pet cleaner you can get

F10 is a must for those with multiple animals under their care; it saves a lot of time and energy devoted to maintenance and it will lower the risk of spreading disease or infections. Other than the old vinegar and water solution, it's one of the only cleaning products that is safe for birds and reptiles, which is what I bought it for. I have a very sensitive nose, and however vulgar, I must admit that most relieving to me is that it is the only solution I have found to completely remove the odor of snake feces from an enclosure. There's no telling how much of my energy has gone into scrubbing and soaking to do just that, and now all it takes using F10 is a few sprays. For reptiles I use F10 on the enclosures themselves, hide boxes, thermostat probes, and water dishes. Though after I spray a water dish I wash it off well just to be safe. With parrots, I would say that this does not remove feces as easily as vinegar and water, but that's an easy trade-off knowing I'm removing more bacteria this way. This is a good product and I see it as an important investment. It'll save me cleaning time as a breeder and it will save money by reducing the need for veterinary care by better controlling bacteria. It also gives a sense of peace knowing that this disinfectant goes just a little bit further to preserve the good health of my animal family, and my human family, too, will be safer from zoonoses.

Best stuff ever! Have multiple animals and this stuff helps me keep all my critters spaces and items disinfected and clean. Please read ratio recommendations (which is quite easy and simple) since it is concentrated, if used properly it’s amazing stuff and last a while. Smell is very minimal and fades quickly, ordered many of these and never had an issue with any of them leaking over the years.

I am so glad this is available as I am a parrot daddy. I have to say though, there IS in fact an odor. It shouldn't state odorless because that's not true and the odor upon initial opening is obviously not mixed with water so that odor, although not bad, can irritate the airway especially in birds. The odor is not bad from a human respiratory system perspective. I believe caution still needs to be in place when using it around pet birds. Air purifiers and ventilation!! If you're going to aerosolize via the spray option on a Zep bottle, for example, put your bird in another room or do it when it's asleep with an air purifier in the room. Even though you're likely using evidence based ratios of 1:250 or 1:500, that doesn't mean you should spray it around your birds. ALWAYS use proper ventilation. It is still a chemical and individual birds can also have different sensitivities. I would also NEVER mix the solution with my bird on my shoulder or perched on the sink faucet or anywhere near. This stuff IS veterinarian grade but it should still be respected as a powerful chemical that could harm you or your precious parrot soul mate.

Stuff is great!

Sure it cleans great, but based on the attached instructions this should not be used to clean rooms where you cant remove the animals. I bought this based on multiple recommendations based on different websites, forums and reviews. Most of these seem to be people cleaning rooms and items where there birds are kept. My main goal was to use this with a carpet cleaner where I keep my pet cockatiels. After reading the instructions I feel this would not be a good thing and is against the actual instruction guidelines. I am sure this cleans great but not in the way I was hoping to use it.

I am in love with this product! It's one of the only things that will kill MRSA and fungus and any other nasties. It is super concentrated so you only need a tiny bit to fill a whole spray bottle. It is extremely cost effective. If you dilute it properly it is so safe I would honestly feel comfortable bathing in it! I use this to clean my birdcages my bird bowls and even to mop the floor. I know that I have a clean house and it doesn't have to smell like chemicals. This is a super safe product and my veterinarian said she would not recommend any other product.
