How do you attach crochet project to the purse clasp?

There are 2 ways I have done it. #1. Push the crochet edge up into the open clasp space and with strong thread sew through the holes catching the crochet edge with the needle and strong thread. I found a curved needle works easiest. Or #2. Using clear glue and push crochet edge into the open space then squeezing the little open space together with pliers. I hope this was helpful.
