WORX Trivac 3-in-1 Electric Leaf Blower/Leaf Vacuum/Leaf Mulcher, WG512 | 600CFM Airflow, 16:1 Mulch Ratio for Heavy-Duty Leaf Removal, Corded

Had an old gas powered mulcher/blower. I bought it to mulch, and it worked great. Craftsman, back when that name meant something. Over 25 plus years of work, and it owes me nothing. Now I need a new one and I want an electric one. I bought a IF YOU WANT TO MULCH LEAVES, GET THIS. It has the power and the ability to get compacted oak leaves 4 inches thick up. A little awkward, but it WORKS. I sent back a $170 battery operated one that sucked. It was yellow. It was a bad design. (ZEGJAW 3-in-1 Cordless Leaf Blower & Vacuum, Leaf Vacuum Mulcher with Bag, 40V 170MPH 360CFM 5 Speeds Electirc Leaf Blowers for Lawn Care 2x4.0Ah Battery & Charger Included) Sent it back. Stay away. Buy this. It needs to plug in, not battery, and I figured who wants to spend $100 on batteries? I have extension cords long enough to cover what I need. This works.

In my yard I have 4 old oak trees. Picture 4' trunks (diameter, not circumference.) Spring time is leaves time. Its brutal. One is next to the driveway and there are times I can hardly see the concrete under that one. I got this mostly for the driveway and street. As of this review, I have only used it once so keep that in mind as you read. I used my regular leaf blower to concentrate everything on the driveway into a fairly compact area then started vacuuming. At first I just held the bag versus throwing the strap over my neck. When I saw how little dust came out when in use, I did throw the strap over. It seemed like I vacuumed up a lot of leaves but when I went to dump it, the bag wasn't even half full. There was the dust. What came out ranged from leaves that had been pulverized into a powder to whole leaves that looked untouched and everything in between (see picture.) When I was done, I was amazed that it all fit into a single trash bag and that bag was about 2/3 full. Using the broom-and-dustpan method, I think it would have been about 4 bags. Word of caution here, it took the utmost of care to pull that bag from the trash can without tearing it. Don't fill your trash bag more than 1/2 to 2/3 full or it will be heavy. Even if you baby it to the curb, the trash man won't be so gentle and you'll have a mess to sweep up. I almost bought the trash can adapter but I don't think I will. You can't fill the can all the way if you're using a bag. The shoulder bag works well and is not difficult or too dirty to wear. It also empties extremely easy. If you stick the nozzle face first into a pile of leaves, it will clog. I tapped the end on a bare patch of driveway and that forced the clog through. All my leaves were dried out and dry so, ideal conditions for using this. There's a review with pictures where the reviewer rigged wheels on the end of the hose. That's a really good idea. What was left was small sticks. I know some went through but a lot of them didn't. I'm talking about sticks the size of chopsticks. I think they lack the surface area for the vacuum to pull them through. The broom made quick work of what remained. So, one use in and I like it. Hands down it beats the broom. That says nothing of its durability or using it as a blower, which I probably never will.

The WORX Trivac is an excellent product, particularly for its strong power and the convenience of switching easily between blower and vacuum functions. However, one notable design drawback is that the collection bag becomes quite heavy as it fills with leaves, and the unit does not provide an option to support the blower with both hands. I identified this as a significant concern because I have previously used a Black & Decker blower that includes an additional support handle, allowing the user to hold the unit with both hands and providing better stability and comfort during operation. Otherwise, I particularly like how easy it is to switch between the blower and vacuum functions, which is far more convenient than with other brands that require removing the blower nozzle and attaching a separate vacuum nozzle each time.

I looked around before I found this product. I have 5 large Claudia Wanamaker magnolias and 5 manicured Eagleston Hollies that drop a lot of leaves. I spent long hours trying to remove the leaves after I trimmed the hollies, and the Eagleston leave drops while trying not to remove mulch at the same time. I wanted a battery operated unit but most I saw only had 20 mins of use befre they needed a recharge, or were way to pricey $500 and up. I thought I would give this guy a try and I couldn't be more happy. I tried it out on teh holly leaves first and it did an amazing job on the lowest setting. I switched on the higher setting for a while for the larger pile, but to be honest, it worked just as good on the lower setting. I used iit in the flower and it vacuumed the leaves great while barely disturbing the mulch. The bag did get a little heavy on the shoulder as the bag nears filling, but not bad. If you drag the electric cord behind you it really doesn't bother too much. Overall I am very excited with the unit. It has saved me a lot of time with cleanup after trimming and picking up the dropped leaves from the Magnolias. I highly recommend this!

Been looking for a replacement yard leaf vac/blower for quite some time. Thought I'd try Worx WG512. Read many reviews. Some very positive. Some negative. Unfortunately I fell into the negative category. I really wanted this to work. Concept is there - just not the implementation. Made of great heavy duty plastic. Love how rotation of a turning mechanism changes this from a blower to a vac and this is where the fault lies with the product. I rotated that lever several times in practice and heard it 'clicking' into position. Upon first several power ups - the unit would just not engage - even though it was plugged in correctly. After powering off and moving that lever - it finally clicked enough into position - that it would power up. This thing is also very loud compared to my previous other manufacture unit that I had originally for 6 years. I use different manufacturer blowers almost every other week - I have artificial turf for my backyard - So I use it to help blow the dog fur or leaves / twigs that have fallen. During the fall - units get a workout blowing all the leaves and then pulverizing them into small bits. (This is one thing I read in many reviews that the Worx was not great at - grinding up leaves - but unfortunately I never got a chance to try). As well - I have a backup gas powered blower to use (as I've had that for 12-15 years) and it still runs like a champ - but I dislike smelling of 2 cycle after I'm finished all the time. So I attempted to use the Worx blower yesterday and had power to the unit and it started fine on its high speed. Suddenly - I began to smell a burning plastic and then electrical smell. I powered off unit. Examined the motor and made sure the fins were rotating freely. Which they were. I started the unit back up - It began to run and went immediately from high speed to low speed on its own. At this point I powered entire unit off took it back into my garage. Got my gas powered unit out and finished blowing my backyard. Later I tried powering the Worx WG512 unit in my garage and unit would not even power on. Time to box unit back up and return it. I so wanted to try this Worx unit out - especially the leaf collection unit which will attach directly to trash cans. But due to the issues with this unit, and I'm not in the position to constantly exchange units with manufacturers - some would say that I got a bad unit. I just don't think the quality control of this is quite up to par. Finally - it was definitely a electrical issue with the motor. When I had the unit on my workbench and I was taking the tube off the unit - I noticed fine granules collect at the bottom of where the motor was. At first - I thought this was just fine plastic, but upon further review - these plastics looking pieces were actually the magnetic parts from the interior motor. I captured these in a ziploc bag to send back.

Overall recommendation...I dont know. I dont want to because it is heavy, vacuum lacks ideal function, and is corded. BUT very few are comparable as handheld/shouldered, so its like recommending between option 1 and option 2 and thats it. And if that is the case then I would recommend. I would rather have a leaf blower and THEN a leaf vacuum both lightweight and portable. - Leaf blower - Requires extension cord, but blowing capability is amazingly strong. - Vacuum - Sucks up leafs but only the ones it can touch basically. Its like a heavier house vacuum but its in your hands/on your shoulders and lacks the extension/flexibility of the hose. - Mulching - When it does grab leaves it mulches great, sticks too even though you shouldnt. Very power in that sense. The motor and power needed to blow, suck, and mulch needs a larger motor and they did just that. The idea of vacuuming a yard is going against them, so to speak. Like the expectation of walking around with a leaf blower and flip a switch and mulch all the leaves so you dont have to deal with them, all while lightweight for one handed use too, is unrealistic and is unfair to the company. The piece of equipment is amazing, but to fit the consumer they tried to package it as portable and handheld and it is really not. Im 33, 275lb, and trying to do my "normal" size city yard (like 7000sqft plot or something) was a chore and would have been better just raking and bagging them. *Note* - If you are going to vacuum, rake them all up into a pile first them suck the pile down. Slowly otherwise you can pull in like 100 leaves at once and clog the front like accidently sucking a t-shirt when house vacuuming.

I bought this for picking up leaves. I haven't used this as a blower other than a quick run, and it blows very well. As for the leaves, this thing is amazing. In use for over a year, through two seasons of multiple heavy, 80-100 year-old live oak and water oak pickup. Still running like a champ. I'm very pleased with how well it works - powerful suction, and eats a lot of leaves quickly. I paired it with the attachment that goes over garbage cans, and it's a real game changer. Using the barrel, you'll either have to rake or drag the barrel behind you, which can get heavy quickly. I don't mind the raking, yardwork serves double duty as exercise and time enjoyed outdoors for me. The metal impeller is durable, but can get jammed if you overfeed it a too-large stick (and too large for this thing is pretty darn large). Even if jammed, access is easy even for big hands. The leaves come out very nicely chopped. They've already almost completely broken down in the mulch pile since last year (that's a big deal for water oak leaves). Once you learn how hard you can push it (pretty hard) and stay within its abilities, you'll be quite happy with how fast it will pick up, saving your back. Speaking of back saving, it's nice and light, and I don't have to bend over at all (I'm 6'1"). The little extension cord plug-holder-together thingy is a nice touch. Other people say it's dusty. Yes. It's outdoor work with a high-speed air movement tool where you're picking up dust and dirt along with the leaves you're chopping up into tiny pieces. Dusty should be expected. Buy it.

Tal como la describen, soplador, aspiradora con triturador. Las hojas las hace aserrín, hasta dan ganas de usar el resultado para abonar macetas y el jardín. Las ramitas (pequeñas como las de Jacaranda) las mastica pero no siempre las rompe, ramas más grandes solo pasan si están secas y quebradizas incluso paran el motor (parece que tiene protección para ello). Funciona muy bien, la perilla giratoria con seguro cambia la posición del motor (horizontal para aspirar, vertical para soplar).

This is a powerful leaf blower that does the trick. The real reason I purchased it was the vacuum / mulch feature, and that works as well as advertised. It mulched what would have been multiple bags of leaves into less than a bag. I've only used it a couple of times, but the quality seems very good, and the price on Amazon was lower than what I could have purchased it locally at a big box store.

This thing is great. It vaccums, mulches and it blows. 70mph comming out of that oversized pipe is way better than I expected. The vac/mulch feature beats a shop vac with a 2.5" pipe and emptying it 5 times to clear a deck. The Worx clears a 50' x 12' deck and the bag has room for 5 more decks that size. It is very well engineered from tip to toe to do three functions with the flip of a switch. Anyone thinking this is too heavy best grab a cold one, sit on the porch and pay landscapers lol. I wear ear protection and have vaccumed small amouts of wet leaves without it clogging. If it doe clog with wet or dry leaves or because of twigs its no big deal and easy to clear. I have a gravel driveway and river stone features which I'll avoid when using the vaccum feature. A welcome addition to my back pack and held gas blowers.
