SoundAsleep Dream Series Raised Queen Air Mattress, Built-in Pump, Blue

I purchased the SoundAsleep Dream Series Raised Queen Air Mattress for an overnight guest I was expecting, but plans changed and it went unused. Three months later, I had another guest staying over, so I finally put the mattress to use. It inflated easily and seemed ready for a great night’s sleep. Unfortunately, as the night went on, the mattress slowly deflated. I checked Amazon to see if I could return it, but the return window had passed. The mattress had a tag with a contact number and website for questions or concerns, so I reached out to SoundAsleep. They responded within an hour and immediately offered to send a replacement—no questions asked. This level of customer service is rare these days, and I was genuinely impressed. Four days later, a brand‑new mattress arrived at my door. I wanted to make sure the replacement didn’t have the same issue, so I slept on it for a couple of nights. The new one works perfectly! I love that it inflates with ease and, best of all, it self‑deflates, so it actually fits back into the storage bag. It’s also very comfortable. Based on the excellent customer service, ease of use, and comfort, I would recommend this mattress without hesitation.

Update, as of 09 January, 2026 I've noticed a lot of comments that the mattress is difficult to get back into that bag. That too has always been my experience. Then I did a little experiment this morning that seems to work. 1. Lay the mattress on a flat floor and inflate it all the way (no need to make it rock-hard). 2. Turn the pump switch to "deflate" and observe as the air leaves the mattress. 3. When it is about 1/2 deflated (with the motor still running) begin folding in the sides. Fold the first side about 2/3 of the way across the remaining side. Try to "tuck in" the side areas as you fold. Neatness counts. 4. As soon as you are able (again, with the motor still running), fold the remaining 1/3 of the mattress back onto the side you worked with in step 3. Try to make the folds "as neat as possible". 5. When step four is "pretty much complete" grab the non-motor end and fold the mattress in half, end to end. 6. Continue to try to "tuck everything in" until the mattress if fully deflated. Let the motor run another minute or so, just to make sure all the air is out, as you continue to "tuck everything neatly). 7. While it will be a bit of a squeeze, the mattress should now fit into the bag. Good luck! =============== I bought this mattress about 7 months ago to use as a guest bed. It has served that purpose very well, being easy to setup and take down. When inflated, it really feels like a "real bed". In fact, I'd go so far as to say that it's actually more comfortable than standard mattress sest. The air inside adjusts to the body perfectly and never sags (like a conventional mattress can do.) The person sleeping can adjust the firmness to persona taste in just seconds. The built-in pump fills the bed FAST! From empty to full, took less than 5 minutes. My guests tend to use it for 3 or 4 nights at a time. During their "stays", I've never had to top-up the air. (The only exception was when it was first new and took a little while for the material to stretch a bit. Once that was done, however, it seems to hold air really well.) After using it intermittently for those 7 months, my recent Thanksgiving guests reported it was leaking air. To make a long story short, I contacted the "SoundAsleep" support team. First sending them an email explaining the issue, then calling them by phone about 5 minutes later at the suggestion of their immediate automated email reply. In this day and age, I always expect to be lost in some phone system hell, then be forced to do battle with customer service departments. Such was not the case this time, however. I was amazed that my call went straight through to a very polite customer service agent. Not only was there virtually no wait time, but also when I started to explain that I had just sent them an email, the agent asked, "Oh... Is this "<my name>"? Not only had she already pulled up my email, but she had read it and was ready for the conversation and called me by name. To make a long story short, she immediately took care of me, and after a very short verification of my purchase from Amazon, she kindly said, "we will send you out a replacement tomorrow by priority shipping". No muss, no fuss! Amazing! In today's world, it's so rare that a product performs so well... then (if necessary) that the company so completely and quickly stands behind its product, if an issue happens to arise. My only regret is that I can't give this company and their products MORE than 5 Stars! One of the reasons I chose this mattress initially was that it (and the company) got top ratings in reviews that I read before ordering. Those high reviews were not exaggerated. In retrospect, going with this product was a wise decision on my part! I highly recommend this product and the company standing behind it.

Very nice firm mattress, which is also adjustable so it will work for anyone. It is raised so it sits up almost as high as a normal bed. We were looking for one that would be comfortable for my brother-in-law who has back issues when he visits, and this one is perfect! Love the flocked top,it definitely keeps the fitted sheet from slipping. It is very easy to inflate and deflate. We did have an issue with it not holding air after a couple of weeks, but a quick call to Casey at SoundAsleep and it was resolved! She was cheerful and understanding, and had another one shipped out to us. Great customer support!

Like other reviews, we were pleased with the durability of this mattress. We’ve only used it once for a stretch of three nights, but things we love about it include, the height…It was easy to get in and out (even in the middle of the night), & the ease in which we were able to inflate it and deflate it. While we inflated it a little bit each night, we were pleased with the overall fullness the air mattress maintained. We took other reviewers advice and added a mattress protector, and it provided a little extra cushion. While the mattress was not the best for my back, it was a great temporary mattress for the few days that we needed it! I took away one star because we had to re-inflate just a little bit each night, but overall, definitely recommend!

Very comfortable and easy to inflate and deflate—far superior to earlier air mattresses from other companies we’ve had in the past. One of the mattresses developed a slow leak and we could not locate it. I called their customer service number (during non-business hours) and I promptly received a call back from Casey as soon as they opened, even though I didn’t leave a message. She was very pleasant and helpful, and within a very few minutes offered to send a replacement free of charge, even though the purchase was made 26 months earlier. Definitely among the very best 2 or 3 customer service encounters I’ve had in my 75 years. I would give 5 stars plus, if possible.

The SoundAsleep kids mattress is perfect. It’s very easy to setup. My 4 year old granddaughter loves it. She calls it her comfy bed. She’ll be able to use it for many more years. Also, it packs into the bag so easy making it so convenient to take on trips. The inflation/deflation device is a snap to use and quickly inflates and deflates the mattress. I needed to call customer service to ask about something and they were top notch. I highly recommend this mattress and company! We also have a queen size SoundAsleep air mattress and it has served us well for over 15 years. Very comfortable!

Highlights (DreamSeries Cal King): (1) The most important consideration is comfort. This mattress is more comfortable than any air mattress I have ever slept on! (2) No large pillow area on one end (which is a contributing factor to number 1 above). A few people might prefer this, but really – who is going to sleep on an air mattress without their own pillow? I mean, seriously? And if you add your pillow to the built-in pillow found on other mattresses, it ends up being way too high and totally uncomfortable. So yeah, much prefer the feature of having NO Pillow on one side! a. Also, with having no huge pillow side, it is then possible to sleep with your head on either side of the mattress! No being forced to set up your mattress one way. Further, if everyone is under 6 feet tall, you could even turn the mattress “sideways” and fit up to 4 people (referring to the California King)! (3) Super quiet to inflate and deflate. This is sooo important when you don’t want to disturb others around you. (4) Holds air throughout the entire night. I tested it inflated for 3 nights, and it kept its air then entire time. (5) Two color options. For those who are into “energy”, supposedly dark colors (esp black) absorb and retain negative energy more than light colors – so if you believe in that kind of thing, you could opt for the blue and white color option. Regardless, it’s nice to have options! (6) Family owned. Super responsive customer service – in case you have any questions, etc. (7) There was one more point that I wanted to share, but it is eluding me at the moment. Anyway, bottom line is – a high quality product that is definitely worth the investment!

We used our sound asleep mattress a good number of times over a year and all of our guests commented how comfortable it was and easy to set up and take down. It did begin to deflate at some point and when we reached out to the company they replaced it immediately under their warranty. Excellent customer service and great value. We love always having a comfortable option for extra guests in the home.

Within about three months the inflator/deflator pump was not working. Surprising and disappointing given the product had such high reviews. Not sure is worth the hassle of try8ing to get a replacement.

As soon as I turned the pump on it smoke started to come out. I turned it off, manually deinflated and more smoke was coming out inside the air mattress. I took it outside and poured water on the pump and the smoke stopped.
