This is my first ever massage chair. I almost returned it because I thought there was something wrong with the heater fan motor, it was louder than I thought it should be. I contacted support and spoke with someone (they were reasonably quick to give a callback) and learned the sound was normal. Also tech support also responded after reviewing my initial request online confirming the same (that took a couple days). So yes, the heater makes some whirring noise. Using the remote and features is a learning curve. Support helped somewhat, the manual somewhat, but truthfully you learn by trying the features to figure out what feel you really want. I also bought a back pad made by osaki to soften the massage a bit (although the chair does have 3 intensity settings) to make my massage more comfortable. The chair is reasonably quiet when it’s running, you hear it in a quiet room but have no problem watching tv if you want. Overall I’m very satisfied. I chose this brand because of the decades they’ve been in business selling massage chairs. That was a big part of my decision along with the less intrusive size of the chair. The massage runs from your neck to your extreme lower back. The calf massage takes some getting used to also, like I said I’m new to this. I do recommend this product.

This chair will work hard on your knots and sore spots almost from head to toe. I especially like the feature that allows the chair to function and look almost like a regular recliner until turned on. Then it really goes to work. The calf massage slots also can work on feet and they can be turned underneath for comfort when not in use for either calves or feet. That is key because they are not themselves very comfortable, but then that is not what we are paying them for. The chair performs a range of functions controlled by a hand-held unit. It is connected by a cable that only allows it to be held on the left side of the chair. There is a place to stow it on that side but it can easily fall out of that but it seem pretty durable so far. I tend to leave it on the floor when the chair is in operation and in a reclined position. The on/off switch is on the back of that side of the chair too. Explanations of all the possible functions are sparse to nonexistent on the controller but with some experimentation, one can get a good range of massages depending upon the felt need. I would not recommend the chair for anyone over 6'1" but that is a good thing when the chair is used by people of different personal dimensions. The chair is compact enough not to dominate the room, but large enough to accommodate our household members. Obviously this is a luxury purchase, but for those of us who applied the expression "stimulus money" literally, it fits the bill.

I love this chair! At first use though, I was not sure that it would be for me. It gives you a deep massage around the head, neck, upper and lower back, and especially the spine area. At the beginning this was painful, so as you get used to it lift yourself up at moments of intensity or just endure. The results are magnificent! After some 20 to 30 minutes of use, I felt so good that I got up and went for a long bike ride which of I had not been doing much of lately. I have osteoarthritis, had two total hip replacements last year and I am somewhat over weight. This got my energy going and it can help you relax at night too. I also use a CPAP machine. As I am pushing close to 70 now, this is giving me some renewed stamina. It is on the lower end of these chairs as they can cost upwards to $15,000. I color is nice and the leather is decent, but don't abuse it as it is not tough. Also, being a big investment, buy an extended warranty. I feel bad because I had a cliche in my chair after just 2 weeks of use. They are sending me a new part and a technician from the area will come out to install it upon my request, or I can install it myself, but since it is so new and expensive I think I will rely on the professional. These things happen, but the company is doing right by me on this and the worse thing about it is that I have to wait 10 to 14 days for FedEx to deliver the part. I will miss my time in the chair. It stopped moving at all when I returned it to its upright position. The next day I tried it and it only would hum, but not move. The company and I conferred on the phone and the resets failed to work. The engineering department diagnosis was to send out a new electronic module. I am looking forward to long therapy use of this chair and may buy another, more elaborate one, in the years to come. This is a first good trial run. As long as there are not continuous problems with break downs, I will cherish the benefits of this product. Thus far, just a bit of bad luck and I am being very calm about it. These things happen.

It’s a nice enough chair, but it has two peculiarities which makes it only an ok chair especially at that price: 1. The rollers protrude more and quite aggressively about halfway up the back, so it pushes you out of the chair, and makes it impossible to relax with your head on the pillow. This is weird and uncomfortable and jarring, especially when reclined. I now avoid massages in the reclined position and never fully relax but instead sit upright, which is a shame because the reclining was a major reason I got this chair. 2. The rollers barely touch at the power back, no mater how I set it, it either stops short of the lower back or the rollers recede into the chair. As someone with a cranky lower back it makes the massage unsatisfying. Another smaller complaint is that it is difficult to get the neck massage to work, with the pillow on it can’t get to your neck but with the pillow off the angle is uncomfortable, especially with the aggressive pushing out of the chair mentioned above. Also, and I don’t know if this was in part because of the aggressive package handling by the delivery people, the chair is slightly crooked which is annoying. Other than that it is nice, lots of variation, the convertible leg area is nice, the leg massage is nice, the heat is soothing, it looks like a piece of furniture. If it was a cheaper chair I could forgive the flaws

This is an amazing massage chair for the money. I owned a much earlier version of this chair for I'm guessing about 15 years. When I finally got rid of the old one, it was still mechanically fine; problem was the covering of the chair had badly deteriorated. This new version appears to have a much more durable and nicer cover material. This chair doesn't have all of the bells and whistles of much more expensive chairs, but it covers most of the bases well. You can spend $5,000 to $15,000 for pricier chairs, but you can get most of the benefits for much less. I received the chair in excellent condition; it was well packaged and the outside of the packing material had no damage whatsoever. Seeing that the outside of the packaging was pristine, I knew that the chair would be undamaged (it was excellent). Setup was a breeze. The additional benefit of this chair is that it will fit well with other furniture in your home. Many of the more expensive chairs will not fit well in a living room placement. This chair also only needs a door opening of 29 inches! You will be highly satisfied with this chair. Human Touch is a respected massage chair brand.

This Chair was purchased on Cyber Monday 2021 and reported as it stopped functioning for us at the10 month mark by the end of September 2022. The warranty was supposed to supply parts for up to 2 years but the needed replacement part has been and is still out of stock with supply chain issues for the past 6 weeks and no foreseeable date of acquiring this part is known. So the manufacturer asked us to work with Amazon Customer Service to help. Next after hours on the phone we filled out a return item form for a full refund less a restocking fee for the defective chair and for Amazon's Pilot trucking Service to transport this item back to Amazon. Pilot scheduled an appointment (after 5 days from the form being submitted) for 11/17/22 from 12-6 p.m. After which Pilot cancelled and rescheduled a new pickup date of 12/2/22 without calling or e-mailing a warning of such changes. I certainly hope the 2nd pickup date transpires and the refund is honored although the delays are pushing the 1 year warranty factor just over the original purchase date of 11/25/21. The chair was most comfortable for a strong and deep muscle massage (excluding hamstrings) when operating - not ideally comfortable for lounging afterward or more than 15 minutes with the remote controls off. Best feature was the espresso color and petite size for a smaller framed person of 5'6" or less height and for space saving. Pricing was a good value on sale at $1696.89 while the restocking fee to return the chair currently was quoted at a $339.38 charge. We are mostly disappointed in that this process is failing on 2 levels, is slow, and from the date of the original purchase we expected to use the item regularly for 3 to 5 years minimum. Amazon did honor this return and we were given our refund as they did get the chair picked up and took care of this purchase and return. Very pleased we had this resolved.

Gave a five star and it is worth the rating. Only one negative, which isn't anything bad. The instructions, which by the way was a full size booklet, could have used a little more detail, if not in writing than in photo. The first part of the instructions was to pull the back up. I tried and it didn't work than I looked at the picture of the chair diagram. It is delivered fully back, yet the instructions show the back folded forward and that is why it says to pull it up. A few other details could have been explained better. Now on to all the good parts. There was no assembly, lift the top of the box off of the bottom of the box, remove the plastic bag and a few Styrofoam wedges and it was all set up. I guess I reviewed to many other massage chairs, I could have sworn this chair had wheels to move it round. It doesn't but it was easy to move with a hand truck I had I got the white chair, it is very attractive. The head rest was easy to install. I have owned massage chairs so I had a very short learning curve. I put the chair through all of it's selections,and found it to be fantastic. There is a inner support that can be removed for a deeper massage, I'd suggest unless you are extremely thick in the back area to leave the padding in, this chair can be very intense. I would like to have found a better way to focus on the upper part of the shoulder yet what it does is satisfactory. The head rest is large and comfortable. Massaging the back of the skull is fantastic, it goes to the top of the skull and if you are familiar with acupressure you will find each of the pressure points. The back and lower back massage is the best I have ever had. It actually lifted me off of the back support, I did have to put it on med. It was like this chair knew every sensitive spot on my back which has been hurting me. By time I was done and got up my back was pain free. I do find when doing the neck area that the head rest needs to be moved up and at that point it can be rather uncomfortable setting the head back. I think the leg massage is satisfactory, it felt good although it would have been a little more tight. Using it as a foot massage was not as good as I would have liked but it is ok. I have a foot massage machine and will probably use that when I need a more intense massage. This chair can definitely be used to sit and do some reading or watching TV. I can go on, but lunch is ready and I am hungry so let me finish by saying this is a great chair for the price and for all that it does. Three weeks later, my final thoughts after trying all of the options. To start I will focus on the not so good. As I stated initially, if one is 5,5 or shorter, you will find it very uncomfortable moving the head rest away while the massage mechanism is below the shoulders. The head sinks into the felt head area and puts a strain on the neck, you will have to hold your head off of that area. That's it for the negative. At this height you get a very good skull massage, it hits on all of the pressure points in the skull. The massage from the lower neck to upper shoulders is not the best, once it gets below the shoulders, wow, it is amazing. If you are new to massage chairs make sure you start off at the lowest intensity. When getting a deep massage you will be lifted off of the back rest, ohhh pain never felt so good. The heat is excellent and a very good compliment to lower back massage. The learning curve for learning how to use the control is large. The instructions that come with the chair is not enough to learn how to use the controller. I would suggest to try each of the programs, while it is doing it's thing watch the lights on the controller and you will get a better understanding how to use the massage in manual mode. There are a few improvements I would suggest to the manufacturer. Once the massage is complete, the back and foot rest should come back to default position, or give an option for this to happen. Also, have an option to extend the massage time. Well that is it for me. I'm happy, love my chair, use it at least twice a day, in the morning when I get up and just before bedtime. Several Months later: The chair is part of my life now. Each morning and just before bed time I sink into my chair and relax my back. I have found nothing to complain about other than what I stated initially. That head support does need to be improved. One more think I did not mention is the controller. Why a chair is sold with a control that has many functions and yet the directions that came with the chair hardly touches on what the controller can do. It has taken me awhile to figure out all of the variations one can do in the manual mode. The labels on the control for range and glide are difficult to understand, for me anyway. Those are important controls when in the manual mode. It gets you to the part of the back you want to focus on for a spot massage. I wouldn't want to try to explain how to use these two controls, what I would suggest is use one of the per-programmed controls and watch the lights on the controller as it goes through the massage. I still give this a five star rating.

This is the second version of this chair that I've owned, the first lasted for well over 10 years. My only complaint so far is that it takes FOREVER to raise or lower leg rest. My older version had a manual release so you could push it down. On the positive side, the warm air feature is great. I wish it could be used independent of the massage, but I did find that I can run the foot massage and get heat. Oh, and the foot massage is fantastic. My old chair just squeezed your feet from the side. This version has a roller that feels amazing on my arches and heels. I don't like it as much for my calves as it seems to pinch my skin a bit. I'm still trying to figure out how to do some things the old chair did (focus on one spot with manual position control) but I find this to be a great improvement to my old one.
