Somehow pleasantly addictive
This stuff is awesome. My favorite is Scarab. Crazy Aaron's is made in the USA. I have so many cans of this stuff. My kids love it too. Great stress reducer. They offer scented varieties. It can be difficult to open the can so store it right side up to prevent minor struggles when opening. You can mix different varieties and make so really neat stuff. It is plain, good old fashion fun that takes products like silly puddy to an entirely new level.

Weirdly Obsessed
This putty is amazing—Scarab is a stunning, color-shifting dream and the texture is smooth, stretchy, and super satisfying. It doesn’t leave my hands feeling gross like some other putties, and it’s become my go-to desk fidget. However… when it arrived, the tin had been upside down during shipping and the putty basically suctioned the lid shut. It took 20 minutes and my husband’s help to finally get it open. Once it settled back to the bottom, it was fine—but heads up, you might need backup the first time you try to open it.

Product is great, the packaging less so.
I’ve never bought thinking putty before, but the doc prescribed something like this to a family member, wanting them to use it for strength and dexterity in their hands. I have sensory issues and whenever they weren’t using it, I would borrow it to squish to my heart’s content. When I saw this, I had to get it for myself.I’ve only just received it, so I can’t comment on whether or how quickly the colour fades. Out of the box, the colour is really beautiful. The consistency is perfect: based on other reviews, I was expecting it to be slimier than it is, and I’m glad that’s not the case. It’s getting the thing out of its tin that’s a challenge. Mine had leaked around the edge and dried, creating a sort of seal that made opening the tin even more difficult. Luckily, I had just ordered a spudger, and that made things a lot easier (see photo). But based on this experience, I’m being careful to keep the tin flat, which means I can’t just chuck it in my backpack. This is not okay. I will need to find a better storage solution, which is disappointing given the price tag.So why five stars? Because the squishy is super squishy and wonderful, and I couldn’t bring myself to subtract stars for the subpar tin.

Beautiful color, but so hard to work with!
I've heard good things about Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty and decided to get one for each of my children for Christmas and one for myself, because I'm a child at heart. I got them the glow in the dark Eclipse version and myself the Super Scarab.PROS:- So many color options!- Nice storage tin- Reusable- Thick texture keeps it from drippingCONS:- All the putty seems to slide to one side of the container unless stored completely flat, leading to it being very hard to open the lid as it oozes a bit into the gap between container and lid- VERY sticky and hard to get out of the container- Expensive

really nice but the tin.
Really nice super satisfying! when you play with it for a long time it turns grey because of air bubbles then when you let it sit it returns back to the original color! I will say that the metal tin does dent easily. Mine came dented so I can’t close the tin again….but it never dries up so it’s fine no scent at all it is a little expensive but you do get a lot.

It's not perfect
EDITED to say: be wary. The lid was off this, which I didn't know, and I set down a piece of clothing near it. A day later this goo had melted into the fibers, and since it was a wool scarf, it can't be laundered to remove it. Had to toss the scarf because there was such a big blob of stuff stuck to it. Tossed this putty, too, because I was so angry....There are a couple things that bother me about this. For months I've been playing with a piece of blue-tack that's about the size of a cherry, and decided to get something specifically meant for fiddling. I chose this product in the Scarab color because I love colorshift.Well - in the first place, the colors are only visible in direct sunlight. In interior lighting (LED or incandescent), or on overcast days, it appears a shiny medium blue-grey. The color wasn't my prime reason for purchasing, but it is enough of a disappointment to drop a star.Secondly, this is much softer than the blue-tack was. If I form the blue-tack into a ball and walk away for an hour, it holds its shape. But if I form this putty into a ball and walk away for an hour, it softens into a flat puddle. I mistakenly left it on the arm of my upholstered chair and it kind of melted into the fabric. If I hold it in my hand (getting distracted while I browse the internet or something), it softens and conforms to the skin on my hand, picking up all the folds and lines, and is a little difficult to remove. This is why I dropped the second star.I also did find it difficult to open the can but that's minor because once it's open, it's staying open. But, if I had this to do over again, I would have bought Silly Putty, which holds its shape and doesn't melt. I may yet do that.
