A Review Written From the Sublime Comfort of the NOUHAUS Ergo3D
The headline certainly reveals my thoughts on this chair so I will give my "too long; didn't read" version right below, but I will also go into some more depth below that for those of you more discriminating readers. TL;DR - Supremely comfortable, build quality is excellent, very easy to put together (10-15mins max), great range of adjustability/range of motion, total game-changer for anyone who spends a lot of time sitting at a computer, etc. I have absolutely no regrets spending $300 on this chair. Full version: Firstly, let me point out that I RARELY write reviews for products. I can probably count the number of product reviews I have written on one hand. That's not because I don't like taking the time to support businesses that make good products, it's mainly because it's pretty hard to exceed my expectations and most products just meet expectations by doing what exactly what I wanted, no more and no less. My expectations for this chair were, naturally, pretty high considering the price tag but I frankly did not expect to be this satisfied and amazed at the difference any chair could make. As someone who is now working from home until further notice during the present COVID outbreak of 2020, I needed something better than what I had and this chair is an absolute game-changer in that regard. Here are my thoughts in summar: 1) Comes well packaged and with well-written, simple instructions which make it very easy to put together (10-15 minutes max) 2) Build quality is excellent. All the parts that should be metal/reinforced are and even the plastic parts that need to be plastic for lightness are of good quality. One more specific thing I noticed that goes to the quality of the parts is that the hardware included comes with pre-applied loctite thread locker (which is essentially a paste on the bolts which help keep them from coming loose over time after installation). In and of itself it isn't that important and is far from necessary on parts like chairs that live a pretty easy life (as opposed to, say, suspension components on vehicles, for example, which usually require loctite). HOWEVER, it's not common on products like this and it is a nice touch that I think suggests more attention to detail/quality for this product. It also shows that NOUHAUS isn't necessarily trying to cut costs wherever they can. 3) It is supremely comfortable! At first I had doubts about the mesh material used for the seat and back of the chair, compared to the more traditional cushion style, but after spending several hours straight without moving at all in this chair during work I can report it is all-around great. The fact I can sit in it that long without moving at all to adjust speaks to that point because I have to do that every so often when sitting in inferior chairs. The range of adjustability and movement of the chair to allow reclining and really any sitting style is impressive as well. Overall I'm completely pleased with the purchase and don't regret spending so much money on this chair whatsoever (currently priced at $300). I'm glad I treated myself to this thing and the only thoughts I have now are why the hell I didn't get something like this sooner to take better care of myself!

Great Chair & Great Customer Support
I bought this chair on a great Black Friday deal. After not being able to repair an old one, this chair closely matched one I had been using for over 12 years. I wanted another mesh seat and back so this one looked good. When it arrived, I was amazed at the quality and style. It really is so comfortable with the lumbar support and adjustable arm rests. I did run into one slight issue as the screw set needed to assemble the chair was missing from the box. I contacted the seller who immediately said they would send them. The seller was awesome the entire time and other than having to wait to assemble the chair, I knew I wanted to keep it. The other great thing about this chair is that it comes with two different type sets of wheels. I like what they call the blade wheels as they are best on my solid surface floors but the second set would work well on carpet. It gives you the selection and choice. It was easy to assemble with good instructions. I am in my 70's and was able to put it together myself in about 15 minutes although if I had help, it would have been easier for me as the chair parts have some weight due to its durable quality. If you have to sit in an office chair all day long, this is the chair you'll want.

Refined/Adjustable Ergo chair for much less than larger brands
This was easy to put together, very well packed, all the screws & bolts came with locktite screws on them. There was a T-wrench and easy to read directions. I did end up with 4 extra screws (all were different screws) which did not seem to be included in the directions--so assume they are just "extra" screws in case one failed? There were two sets of wheels (roller blade like & traditional), nice option. Only improvement out of the gates I suggest to NOUHAUS would be to label the screws in the screw package, as I didn't know what an M8 or M6x1.18" vs M6.0.79" screw is. I think you should check your rear pockets before sitting as it would seem the mesh could cut or get damaged if you had a pen or pencil, or car keys in them. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out. Good looking chair, the recline is smooth and nice. Only had a couple hours in it so far--nice to lock the seatback out or recline. A nice surprise I find in most mass produced assembly required furniture such as chairs or shelves, cabinets, etc, is the screw holes are typically requiring force or not smooth, or misaligned holes/brackets and you end up stripping screws or holes--but SURPRISINGLY, these seemed to all be chased well and went in easily. Only time will tell how well this performs for 10 hour shifts at the computers. For the price, after nearly 2 hrs--this is a comfortable, adjustable, easily assembled chair that has great lumbar support and features for the price. If that is what you are looking for, this may be the one to pick. I only found this brand due to YouTube reviews of office vs gaming chairs for office environment. Glad I found it as it was described as a "Not well known hidden gem" among $1,000 chairs. Giving 4 stars only because I had trouble figuring out which screws were which due to them not being labeled in the packaging they came in--it's hard to tell from a drawing of a screw on the assembly instructions & expect to know what is what from a pile of screws in a plastic casing.

Quality and comfort - a chair that will last
So far I am so glad I spent a little more than what I first intended. I found a great deal on this chair, but it was still more expensive than my initial price range. The look, quality, and comfort of this chair seem to be well worth it so far. I want to give extra credit and appreciation that the delivery of the chair was sooner than expected and early in the day. I was so ready to replace my old office chair. I wanted a chair that would support my back and the chair back has the lumbar support in the right place for me. I also wanted a chair that would give me comfort when sitting for long hours. My butt felt so good, as I settled into the seat. I didn't want a large, cushy, leather chair, but more of a working office chair. I wanted a chair that would hold up over time and not have cushioning or material that would easily breakdown over time. My old office chair had the vented material for the back, but not the seat. I liked the venting on the back and felt that a vented seat would be good also. I never liked how seat padding seams to wear down over time. I had already added additional padded cushion to the old chair. I think that the seat on the new chair should hold up. We will see. I like that the chair back has adjustment so that it can recline and lock in place at a few different positions. It doesn't go to a full recline, but I don't want to fall asleep in my chair. The head rest is good for added support when working on the computer for hours. The head rest adjusts up and down, so you can find the best area on your head or neck you want to support. It does not adjust forward, but you can swivel it slightly up or down. The arm rests adjust up and down, as you would expect. The top also swivels in or out slightly. The arm pads are not soft and cushy. They have cushion, but it is firm. They should hold up over time. The chair comes with two sets of wheels. You can install the standard caster type wheels or the upgraded blade wheels. I choose to use the blade wheels. They make the chair roll easily on my laminate floor. They are smooth and quiet. Of course, you have seat height adjustment, as needed. With the blade wheels on, I think the seat height is perfect for me. But I am 5' 6. I might raise it just a bit. A shorter person would probably want to use the caster wheels. The instructions are a bit weak on the explanation. I did have to remove a couple things after installing them. The gotchas are that there is an arrow next to the "Front" designation on the seat mechanism. The R/L arm rest designation refers to when the chair is upright and not in the upside down installation position. The chair was packed in a manageable box and all the parts were packed very well. Many of the parts were packed firmly in foam. The bolts were in a plastic package and they gave you one extra of each size/type. Overall, I think this is the best working office chair that I have used, both in the office and working from home.

Best for neck/back problems!
So I have a neck and low back fusion, both knees replaced, fibromyalgia and arthritis. I still have a lot of neck pain after long office hours and realized needing an ergonomic chair (and desk) was what would reduce my neck and shoulder pain. After getting my measurements for what an ergonomic chair would need to be and after reading reviews, I chose this chair. I'll spend HOURS reading reviews before throwing quite a bit of $ down on something. The only real negative review I saw was this chair wasn't for tall people. So my review: first thing I noticed when I sat in it was the lumbar support. Never have I sat in a chair that supported my low back so well. The headrest adjusts in 2 different ways: vertically and then outward. It supports my head and neck better than anything too. I ended up using the roller blade wheels since I have hardwood and with those, I didn't have to use my plastic office mat. I got a ergonomic desk so I liked that I was able to adjust the arms of the chair to accommodate. With my health issues, I'm always judging every chair I sit in. This one, by far, is the best one. And after spending an ungodly amount of office hours in it in April & May this year, I was pretty amazed at how much less my neck, shoulder and back pain was! I didn't have the stiffness I usually have after sitting for hours at a time. The fact that the chair accommodates a good range for ergonomic measurements (because not all other chairs did, especially how low the chair could sit) as well as the quality of the chair (100%), I've referred this chair to everyone! I also like the fact that I can recline in it and be incredibly comfortable if I want to game some too 😉 The only suggestion I'd have for this chair is the option to drop the arms down completely (as in, not having arm rests) rather than having to take them off the chair completely. I was nervous at first paying this much for a CHAIR, but it has been, by far, the best investment I've made. It has allowed me to be more productive since I'm in less pain and because of that, has made sleeping at night much easier!

High quality
I changed the review from a four to a three star. The person that I bought this for loves the chair. I decided to try it for a day and find that about 5 inches of the seat is unusable. I sat with my back firmly placed up against the lumbar support and my thighs are mostly unsupported. This is because about five inches of the rear of the seat bottom you can’t get to. I sat down as far to the rear that I can. I then placed a yellow towel where my bottom touched the seat. The entire area of the seat where you see the towel is unusable space. If I was able to sit back that far it would be great. This chair is very high quality. The base is a single-cast metal piece rather than the plastic of most other chairs. It looks like polished aluminum, though I'm not positive what metal it is. The chair is very comfortable and fairly supportive. Let me say why I say 'fairly.' The headrest is adjustable; however, it's not adjustable toward you. it's adjustable up and down and the angle. So, it's only good if you're lying back. It doesn't even touch your head if you're sitting up straight. Leaning back, I find that there isn't enough resistance, even with the dial as tight as I can make it. I can only use it if the back is locked into position. it would be nice to lean back, but it just keeps going. For this price, I would expect the seat angle and the lumbar to be adjustable. They are not. It's a very nice chair, and I'm happy 'enough' with it. It could have been awesome.

BEST. OFFICE. CHAIR. EVER.
Disclaimer: everyone has different physical needs and ideas of comfort so please understand that reviews for an item such as this can and will vary. I fricking love this chair. It was so easy to put it together. My boyfriend was able to assemble it in maybe ten minutes. This thing effortlessly rolls over the carpet underneath it and underneath my desk (I didn’t even know there were rollerblade wheels for office chairs...now I can never use regular wheels again). The quality is nothing short of amazing in my opinion and the product is everything I had hoped for. Quality like this usually costs at least double. I searched and searched for a quality, comfortable, and supporting chair. I almost caved and got a gaming chair (the price point for which is comparable in most cases), but they didn’t seem to have that much in the way of adjustments for comfort and definitely not the lumbar support I was looking for. But THIS family owned company hit it right on the head. I love that the lumbar support is adjustable and so it the head/neck rest (the armrests are too). I can sit all the way back in this chair and my back is completely supported. I use it in my home office and am at my desk for at least 8.5 hours per day; no more back pains (or butt pain) after sitting for a while. I get and move around because it’s good for you, but not because I HAVE to in order to get relief anymore. I wasn’t sure if I’d like the mesh seat of the chair (I am typically not a fan of those), but, and remember this is coming from someone who doesn’t usually like those, I have zero complaints about it and it has not seemed to negatively impact my comfort. My boyfriend didn’t like the chair when and had everything to say about it....until it came and he got used to (and comfortable might I add) using it at his desk (despite already having a cheap Walmart desk chair) before we got my home office set up. Now my chair is in my office and he’s back to using his el cheapo chair; now he misses mine. 😂

Most Uncomfortable Chair Causing Back Problems
Update after buying a replacement chair: my back feels so much better! I no longer feel like someone took a bat to by back on a daily basis. I was waking up sore, but now I feel fine each day. This chair really is the worse chair ever. I just want to say up front that I gave this chair every chance I could. On day 1 the chair was pretty comfortable. By the end of the week my butt was sore, my elbows had bruises, and my back seemed out of wack. I read the reviews and many said to give it some time because it is adjusting your posture. You might be sore at first but it will get comfortable. Well I am about a month into using this chair and it has only gotten worse. I swear I am about to get a slipped disc in my spine. I am constantly uncomfortable, not only sitting in this chair but all day long no matter where I am after using the chair. It is not getting better, it is getting worse. I have no history of back issues, and I have never had a chair this uncomfortable. Other issues with this chair. 1. the elbow pads are hard as a rock. I like to rest my elbows and I can no longer do that on this chair because my elbows feel like someone took a hammer to them. I have to let my elbows free hang off the side to prevent additional pressure on them. very uncomfortable and inconvenient. 2. the base of the seat is tiny in both width and length. I am not a big guy and I fill the entire seat from armrest to armrest. In most other chairs I can sit with someone else in the same seat. I also like to cross my feet under my legs when I sit but the length is so short it is impossible. Maybe that is supposed to be a feature of this chair to force you to sit with your feet on the ground, but it is not comfortable and places a lot of strain on your back to force you upright constantly. 3. in my previous chair when you want to recline a bit, both the back and the base of the seat reclined so it felt like you were in a bucket seat. On this chair, only the back reclines of the seat base remains flat. This forces you to use your back muscles to engage and remain reclined otherwise you will get pushed back forward. If you try to stay reclined you will end up sliding forward because the base is not a fixed 90 degree angle, you are now 135 degree angle and slide out of the seat. Again, maybe its a feature to force you to sit upright, but it is tiring and makes your back sore. I think this chair would be great if I didn't have to sit in it for 8 to 12 hours a day, but when you spend a lot of time in front of a computer, this chair is not ideal. I need to be able to sit back, recline, let my elbows rest, and cross my feet under my legs. The pros to this chair you can put it together in 30 minutes and it is very breathable. if you need to sit it for more than a few hours at a time, I would recommend getting something else. I have put in my return request and will be dropping it off at UPS this weekend.

High quality, comfortable ergonomic office chair
I’m compelled to write a review for this office chair. I’ve been using an older one for years now that had no tension recline and was hard on my lower back. Working from home now required something comfortable for long days. I have used Herman Miller Aeron chairs i offices before and generally liked them. But the price to buy one at $2,000+ just seems crazy to me. They also don’t come with headrests which this one does so I gave it a try. Long story short, I’m very pleased! The woven mesh is comfortable, very supprtive, and breathes so your legs and back never get too hot. For this reason I wanted to avoid foam seating surfaces and it is awesome during warmer months. Even if wearing shorts my skin does not stick to the mesh. This chair came with two types of casters, regular and rollerblade wheels. The rollerblade wheels are excellent! Recline is tension adjustable and goes back 130° Which makes it easy to take a nap in. The headrest is also very comfortable when leaning back. The base is solid cast aluminum, very solid and looks good. Recline has multiple lock points as well. My only niggle would be the plastic chrome material for the accents, trim and armrest buttons. It’s not convincing and feels really cheap, but this has no impact to the overall function of the chair. I’ve seen pictures online of this chair that do not have the chrome plastic trim but I could not find any available for purchase in Canada. Bottom line, this is office chair a winner and I do t feel I could’ve done better for the price.

Received cheap Chinese knock-off
I’m very disappointed with this item. Nothing I received looked anything like what was described and shown in the pictures. No blade wheels, just cheap small plastic wheels, very poor packaging, the chair base felt so thin and cheap. This is not worth 1400 aed, maybe for a 200 aed I’ll buy it. What a joke.

Not that fantastic after all
I watched YouTube and read many reviews and it sounded so good. Finally made the hard decision to part with a not small amount for an office chair. First off, I’m 183cm and the headrest is short (or lower) a cm or two for a comfortable rest. Mesh suppose to be cool as many claimed, but for me it feel plasticky and hard. The seat is not adjustable much to the front so it “forces” me to push back my butt for a firm seat. Maybe there’s the idea of a good posture? Lumber support is non adjustable although I can feel the support as compare to my other non ergonomic chair. I must mention that the lumber support causes me problem as my belt keeps “hooking” it while I adjust my seating or standing up. Last but not least is the legs, which are very long (study and heavy duty which I love) and need getting used to as I knocked (it hurts) my ankle a few times when I started using it. On the good points, it is heavy, well build, good quality and feels like it will lasts.
