Unbelievable, and two-day shipping!
We purchased a less than one year old RV for some fun recreation. I don't think that the original owner was told or remembered that after 200 miles, he needed to have the breaks adjusted after the break-in/seating period on the shoes. I think as time went on and the trailer was not breaking as well as it should, he just kept on turning up the controller's gain, until he was maxed out and the only think stopping the trailer was not the shoes, but the magnets. When I replaced the break backing plate assemblies, I noticed that all four drums had deep gouges from the magnets and were also warped from overheating. I needed replacement drums fast. I was surprised to find OEM Lippert drums with prepacked bearings on Amazon with two-day shipping at a fair price. As for the most part I always prefer OEM equipment for vehicles. this was a no brainer for me and placed the order. The order did arrive in the two-day window and the boxes and contents were in pristine condition with each drum in its own factory sealed box. Even though the bearings were prepacked, I wanted to add new/additional grease to the spindles and void. I also wanted to make sure that the grease that I used was compatible with the grease Lippert used, so I gave them a call. The support team was very helpful, and I was happy to find out that they use Lucas Red "N" Tacky which is easy to find in our area. The installation went smoothly and now the trailer has good breaking power at a gain of 4.5 on my break controller. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Great replacement parts
Great job on looking like OEM parts went together perfectly bearings could of used more grease- not enough- still want to give a 5 star review though- product seems very well made It is Kinda high priced - thereโs cheaper alternatives- well in my line of work mowing grass 7 days a week- 6 months every other day 6 months. cheaper sucks most of the time. Great trailer axle brake hubs
Great hubs overall. The hubs come with the races, bearings, and rear seal preinstalled. Upon initial inspection, I noticed the bearings were not packed as well as they should have been. They weren't dry by any means, though they were not fully packed either. Hindsight I should have pulled the seals and completely packed the rear bearings. Since the front bearings are loose in the hub until installation it was easy to finish packing. I packed the cavity between the bearing in the hope that a little extra grease would work into the bearings as they are heated and the grease thins and flows. The hubs also require a good cleaning to get rid of the oil that was on the inner surfaces. I used a green scotch brite pad and brake cleaner to clean the oils, and stuffed a rag into the seal to keep any oil or brake cleaner from getting into the seal, bearings or grease. Overall I rate them 4/5 because the bearings need extra grease. For peace of mind, I will probably pull the seals and fully pack the rear bearings before the first long distance trip I make since installing them. The only use they've had so far is an empty trailer abd the initial brake burnish since I also installed new self-adjusting brakes at the same time.

Five out of four stars
We ordered one of these drums eight or so months back to replace a bad one on our trailer. My husband decided to simply rebuild the whole system so he recently ordered three more of these drums. The first drum had a glossy coating, a Lippert logo cast on the drum, and also had a specific casting design where the wheel bolts to the drum itselfโsmall circles where the V's meet. As far as drums go, I actually found it to be rather cool looking; especially when you saw it next to one of the old drums. Anyhow, low and behold, not one of the three additional drums ordered are identical to the first. Two of them do not have Lippert information on the casting, one of them looks as though it was painted with flat black spray paint, and three of the four are cast with a different design where the wheel bolts to the drum itselfโ one of them has no circles, one of them has what appears to be the start of circles, and one of them has the circles but has no Lippert information on the casting.( If it hadn't been for the lack of Lippert info. cast into the drum, that particular drum would have been identical to the first drum we received.) We hope these oddities in design and finish are not a reflection on the overall product quality. That being said; all of the drums did arrive on time and in good condition, and are, according to my husband, mounting to the spindle correctly. He does however highly recommend that addition wheel bearing grease be applied to the bearings and inside the hub.(Lucas Red "N" Tacky) We have not put these drums through a road test yet, but are hoping that they perform well. We also hope they last as long as the Dexter drums that came with the trailer; that of which would now be coming up on 26 years. Not sure that we'll be around to see that, butโฆ Hope springs eternal, or as my husband puts it, "I hope these things don't blow apart while we're motoring down a 6% grade!" OMG! It's like being married to Eeyoreโฆ Update: My husband decided to contact Lippert about the mix and match drum issue. Low and behold, after confiming the order, Mel in the Lippert CS department kindly expedited two new "matching" drums out to us โ no charge. Because of this, we are bumping up our overall rating for Lippert from three stars to four stars. In our book the fourth and fifth star can only be earned by a testament to product quality, product durability, and the organizations willingness to stand behind their product if an issue with quality or durability arises. The hope is that the product received is the product expected; but then as time wears on, as does product use, that their does not become a need to contact the organization to request warranty coverage for their product. Only time will tell how well these drums hold upโฆbut aw, what the heck, I'm going to give Lippert five stars. After all, we did receive five star customer service. And then there's my Eeyoreish husband: "Great, just greatโฆ like I don't have enough superfluous crap laying around hereโฆ!" Thank you Lippert!

Perfect fit for Grand Design 2600RB with the Lippert 3500 lbs axles
I took my time cleaning with brake cleaner spray on the spindle and brake area after removing the stock hub that had a bad inner bearing. This Lippert hub comes pre-lubed and everything! Just don't put the hub on the ground and be sure to hold / protect the outer bearing on when you put the hub on the spindle. Probably a good idea to put some cardboard under the area you are working at to keep it clean. Keep in mind it is a nice assembly but there are other parts you must re-use like the castle nut and washer over the outer bearing. You also should probably buy a new cotter pin, they're cheap here on Amazon. In total putting the new part on including pre-cleaning took me a little under an hour. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Great Replacement
Installation was easy, it took me about 20 minutes total. Like everyone else has mentioned they lack on grease that's somehow true but because they are stored the grease just falls off, there is not a huge deal just adding new grease and they will function as supposed to For myself is cheaper buying the whole drum assembled plus the quality of a OEM Part

The worst RV breaks I ever used in 22 years
The worst breaks I have used for my travel trailer in over 22 years in RVing. Don't bother with this company. I called them within the first few days of having them installed and out of the box they didnt function properly. They talked me into continued use of the breaks which was my mistake. These have to be adjusted constantly even though they are the auto adjust. They completely failed in a little over two years. I called lippers and they refused to help, were so nasty and basically wouldn't provide replacements or any troubleshooting. Horrid customer service, and it didn't matter to them that I called right after they were installed with issues. They wiped thier hands clean. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING LIPPERT ESPECIALLY BREAKS. This review was my expierience and is my user opinion. Your miles.may vary but IMHO I would stay clear of this product as customer service is non-existent amd they dont back thier products.

OEM parts fit right.
Fully assembled and greased. Fits right on the spindle so no complaints. Buying OEM from the axle manufacturer is probably worth your money. It was certainly worth not wasting time and effort to get some other brand to fit.

Fits a 2010 R-Pod single 3500# axle
Super quick to install as the bearings and races come pre-installed. Simply pushed it on the the axle spindle and done. Very convenient. The assembly did not come with a spindle nut, washer nor cotter pin. These things will need to be purchased separately.
