FROGG TOGGS Chilly Pad Cooling Towels for Face and Neck, 33"x13"

It really works! It's made of a special material that stays cooler than the ambient temperature when it's wet, so it's better than just using a regular towel. I ordered this because it's been so hot it was making me angry all the time and I needed a solution. I still wanted to go outside to get my steps and it's also hot all day in the house. This Chilly Pad really helps me feel cooler and more comfortable where I'm not overheating and sweating 24/7. It does get hard and crunchy when it dries, which is why it's shipped slightly damp in sealed plastic. I would sanitize it and store it a little damp in a zip loc probably. It really works and is an inexpensive solution to be able to do things when it's really hot. It stays damp for some hours also.

I'm heat intolerant and this thing saves my life on the daily. I live near Sacramento, CA where it gets to be 100 on the daily in the summer and this towel keeps me cool. It is easy to use and you just need to wet it with water to reactivate it. I like wearing it around my neck when I do errands. It's refreshing and lightweight. They make different sizes but I prefer this larger size as it covers more area. I'd buy 10 more honestly like I'm surprised and impressed with the effectiveness of this item in combating hot weather.

Absolutely the best cooling towel I’ve bought. This towel stays chilly, for hours. It’s very durable, kind of like chamois material. It stays cold but not wet feeling. It’s not very heavy, but it is heavier than other cooling towels. But the difference is, this one actually works. Where I live it gets to 110 plus degrees. With this towel I am able to be outside longer. It stays cold, even in that heat. When it starts to warm from body heat you just shake it around a bit and it cools again. The only noticeable issue is the color got a bit off on parts of it. But, I didn’t buy it for it’s looks.

It does the job, the only downside is how stiff it gets when it dries. You have to wrestle with it a little to get it to fold and roll up to out it back in the container. Otherwise it really keeps you cool.

I used this cooling towel to hike Angels Landing at Zion national Park in 107° heat. It was very helpful. The towel does cool you. It will dry out rather quickly in the dry heat. But just put a cup of your drinking water on it and it’s cool again.

Okay I think this may have saved my life, or came darn close. My AC died when the temps were in the mid 90s. I was sweating and sweltering in my house waiting for the replacement. I got the Frogg Toggs Chilly Pad just in time. It’s amazingly chilly and cools you down much better than a wet cloth. My AC is fixed now but this will be in my summer supplies from now on. I get it wet, wring it out and put it over my back and shoulders and WOW 🤯 Instant relief. For the ladies with hot flashes of which I’m one, OMG you need this. Tip, get it wet wrung out and place it in its original container or a ziplock bag to keep with you. Then all you need to do is give it a good shake and fling and cool relief.

Sure, it works for cooling. But! It is also really bulky, can't be easily tucked away when not in use, especially if you're out on the go. Also the texture is SO strange....like dolphin skin or something. If you have texture aversions this might not be the one for you.

These cooling towels are awesome! I bought them for my entire warehouse staff, and they have been a huge hit. They work great for keeping everyone cool during those hot workdays, and I love that they come in great colors. They’re also super easy to care for and reuse. Definitely a great product, especially if you work in a hot environment!

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc - anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube - you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours - as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.

Giving this one star as it's not possible to give a review without a star. This item stays wet for hours, or at least damp. Thats about it. It is not cooling. Bought it for travel hoping to stay cool in hot weather and was dissapointed to discover that I handed over money for absolute rubbish. The saying, "if it seems too good to be true it usually is" comes to mind. Invest in a portable fan, your money will be better spent.
