These worked great as anchor bolts in shed walls that I was constructing on a slab rather than pouring the concrete with cast in anchor bolts. Drilled 1/2" holes for 1/2" bolts and used air impact driver to install the bolts. I suggest drilling hole more than the 1/2" deeper than bolt length. Almost got 4 stars due to this, but maybe I didn't clean the hole well enough. They might be able to be installed by hand but it will require some muscle. Amazon's price for the box of 20 was a third the price in the big box hardware stores.

I use these quite a bit. These are the plated kind, which is okay for applications not using pressure treated lumber. As far as I could tell Amazon did not carry the mechanically galvinised ones, which also cost more, but these are fine for metal to concrete. One tip I recommend is not using worn concrete drill bits for these as the bore hole will be slightly smaller and these will fit too tight. I drive them with an electric impact driver. I have also used cordless impact tools to drive them but that works only in softer materials such as block or brick. One good use for theses is when something needs to be removable, they unscrew easily.

These work great. Make sure to drill the hole about 1/2” to 1” deeperthan the depth of the screw. Also blow the hole out.

The strong ties are way nicer to use over lag bolts. I made sure my holes were half an inch deeper than the bolts and blew them out as recommended. 30 strong ties fully seated without any issues using a dewalt 20v impact.
