Two layers of silver film work just fine for more privacy.
I just put a second layer of (silver) film on a 26"x42" window, and it seems to have worked just fine. I wanted to see out, but from the outside one layer of film didn't seem enough. Now from the outside (in the day), you can't see a thing even if you're right up against the window. The view from the inside is just a tad darker than with one layer, but you can still totally see out without an issue. If I have problems in the future with the layers peeling away from each other or with bubbles, it's of course easy to remove both layers and put them on again. But so far so good. Great product, actually. Tip: you don't need a lot of soap in your water, just a squirt. I used waaay too much soap for the first layer of film, and it was a total mess.

Excellent Privacy Solution for an Attic Window
I used this film on an attic window and it worked exactly as I hoped. The installation was straightforward, and once applied it provided excellent daytime privacy while still allowing natural light into the space. The reflective finish looks clean from the outside and helped make the attic window much less noticeable. It adhered well, with no peeling or bubbling after installation. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and would purchase it again for similar applications.

Gives privacy, sun protection, and peace of mind!
I initially bought this film about a year ago and bought some more recently. After having it installed for a year, I can very confidently recommend this product to anyone that wants privacy and sun/heat protection. > This is a wonderful product! It provides extra privacy without breaking the bank. I installed these on all of my windows since my apartment is facing a walkway and people walk in and out all the time. I used to not want to open my blinds to avoid people seeing inside. This product not only prevents people from seeing inside my home but also gives me peace of mind. I live in Arizona and the sun is scorching hot here, this film also prevents as much heat and sunlight coming in during those summer months. ⚠️ Keep in mind, you CAN see inside at night time. Also, only giving it 4 stars because there were some wrinkles on the film before I even installed it. Some were not possible to take out and smoothen out. You can't see them from far away, but if you stand closer you can definitely see them.

Not the best
Very disappointed in this product, reading the reviews prior to purchase were good. I purchased the smaller roll as I had just two sets of smaller windows that needed the film. I followed the directions to the "T", a few hours or so after being in place I noticed some of it was not sticking, so I re did the window, seem to work until a few days later, again as you can see in the pic it was about half way off, & starting to pull away on the other window. I repeated this process 3 times & felt that was enough. Since I had used the roll up, I didn't bother with trying to return it. It's not the easiest to work with, it's pretty stiff & you want to be careful not to put a crink in it. Over all & am disappointed in the product, I wanted this as these windows get the most sunlite in the house & is a workout room for me.

Needs better instructions and indicators on the product.
I love the concept. Application was not as cut and dry as implied. It was hard to peel away from the backing. It was very difficult to tell which side went where as there is no visible marker on the product. So I have no idea if I put it up right. Actually think I put it up wrong because of this. But I can’t see a thing on the outside after dark if you do it that way lol. 😂 also darkens the light coming in which was not my personal goal. I was trying to keep out the peeping toms during the day while letting in the daylight and being able to see outside.

Good Stuff, everyone should use this!
Exceptionally easy to apply: Just applied film to a bedroom double hung window. Took about 15 min. per upper, lower glass. Used WAY too much spray soapy water, but still only needed a washcloth to clean up. One hand on the film and the other on a 10-inch squeegee does it just fine. Lots of memory in the roll of film until it is sprayed then quite easy to handle. DON'T need two people to put this stuff up as it moved into place with just 2 finger pressure. To save time etc. cut pieces to fit the glass - no cut-around needed! Used piece of 2' x 4' 1/4 in. Luan for a cutting board. Box knife, metal yard stick, and a pen (to mark the film) used. Also, a tape measure to get more accurate glass size.

It works!!
READ FOR TIPS: First off, this thing works as you can see in the 1st picture. I installed it by myself, just one person and no previous experience. The product comes with very clear instructions, it's not hard. Tips: 1. I recommend doing this at night time or when the windows are cool. I installed one at night (went on no issues), and the other during the hot morning (the soapy water kept drying and the film was not as easy to work with, plus you have the sun in your face). 2. When it comes to the soapy water, be generous! Like dripping down the window generous. 3. You definitely need a squeegee, or in my case, I used a small plastic ruler, worked just fine, but don't do it without it, it won't work. 4. I didn't peel the whole piece of film at once cause it kept rolling on itself. So I would peel about 7-8 inches, add soapy water to it, and place it on the window, then I would keep rolling it down while adding the water. Once placed, squeeze with the squeegee right down the center of the window top to bottom, that's gonna hold it in place, and now you can continue "squeegeeing" out all the excess water and taking out all the bubbles. 5. GIVE IT TIME TO CLEAR. When it's first done it will look foggy, because of the soap and water. Let it dry overnight, it will clear up. 6. As you can see in the 2nd picture, my windows have some imperfections that I thought were going to create bubbles, but they don't. Just make sure to squeeze really well when applying. 7. Lastly, I bought the lightest film and I like the amount of light that still comes in the room, and I can definitely feel the difference in temperature. I would say about an 80% improvement in terms of heat coming in. If you take the time to do things correctly, this product is definitely a win.

Hope this helps you decide
Top glass has no film/Bottom is filmed. Great coverage for my desires. I can now open my kitchen blinds without worrying about neighbors directly across seeing in. Hopefully you can see that the top shows inside (I placed things on top of my fridge so you can tell ); while the filmed window reflects the outside environment instead (you cannot see the items on the counter I placed to see it worked). Inside the house I can see out and enjoy the view knowing my privacy intact. There was enough film to do two normal size bedroom windows with a bit left but not for another reg. glass. I know these are not in normal window but I did the measurement. I bought the 13ft roll. Basically: 1 roll = 2 bdrm window (reg size glass). I love this and will buy more. I had to see if it was worth it before purchasing the necessary qty. Conclusion: It’s non-adhesive cling helps with readjusting, does what it’s meant to do and worth the buy.

No cumple con la funcionalidad especificada
No proporciona privacidad en absoluto, había leído algunos comentarios que mencionaban eso pero decidí arriesgarme. Fue una mala decisión. La película permite ver perfectamente lo qué pasa del otro lado.
