HIDBEA One Way Privacy Window Film,Heat Blocking, Silver,17.5in x 6.5ft

I just put a second layer of (silver) film on a 26"x42" window, and it seems to have worked just fine. I wanted to see out, but from the outside one layer of film didn't seem enough. Now from the outside (in the day), you can't see a thing even if you're right up against the window. The view from the inside is just a tad darker than with one layer, but you can still totally see out without an issue. If I have problems in the future with the layers peeling away from each other or with bubbles, it's of course easy to remove both layers and put them on again. But so far so good. Great product, actually. Tip: you don't need a lot of soap in your water, just a squirt. I used waaay too much soap for the first layer of film, and it was a total mess.

I used this film on an attic window and it worked exactly as I hoped. The installation was straightforward, and once applied it provided excellent daytime privacy while still allowing natural light into the space. The reflective finish looks clean from the outside and helped make the attic window much less noticeable. It adhered well, with no peeling or bubbling after installation. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and would purchase it again for similar applications.

I initially bought this film about a year ago and bought some more recently. After having it installed for a year, I can very confidently recommend this product to anyone that wants privacy and sun/heat protection.> This is a wonderful product! It provides extra privacy without breaking the bank. I installed these on all of my windows since my apartment is facing a walkway and people walk in and out all the time. I used to not want to open my blinds to avoid people seeing inside. This product not only prevents people from seeing inside my home but also gives me peace of mind. I live in Arizona and the sun is scorching hot here, this film also prevents as much heat and sunlight coming in during those summer months.⚠️ Keep in mind, you CAN see inside at night time.Also, only giving it 4 stars because there were some wrinkles on the film before I even installed it. Some were not possible to take out and smoothen out. You can't see them from far away, but if you stand closer you can definitely see them.

Total Junk... bought 5 rolls.... and what a mistake on my part! $200 for 5 rolls of junk. The photo showing privacy effect on the product page is a total hogwash. you can easily see inside the house in daylights/sunny days.... Light blocking??? My Rear! STAY AWAY. out of 5, one in the dumb, and 4 returned!

I love the concept. Application was not as cut and dry as implied. It was hard to peel away from the backing. It was very difficult to tell which side went where as there is no visible marker on the product. So I have no idea if I put it up right. Actually think I put it up wrong because of this. But I can’t see a thing on the outside after dark if you do it that way lol. 😂 also darkens the light coming in which was not my personal goal. I was trying to keep out the peeping toms during the day while letting in the daylight and being able to see outside.

Rarely give a 5 star review. This product exceeded expectations - the heat reduction was substantial.Living at a high altitude, wouldn't be surprised if melanoma risk is reduced after applying this product - there is less atmosphere at higher altitude and in turn greater sun exposure.With unprecedented heat this summer, and after feeling the difference, I wouldn't want to live somewhere without some type of window protection. Wish I had access to this product sooner - thank you HIDBEA!Tips for install: use a tv or large flat box to cut on. Measure/mark the sides of the box so you measure once. Used a drywall square against the cardboard for straight cut - an extra sharp razor is important throughout the entire process. It takes practice and patience - don't rush. It goes without saying, clean windows are a must before application - thoroughly clean windows and surroundings. Be very gentle with the film! Pressing the roll together is enough to permanently crease it - handle with care and u'll b alright!Follow the manufacturers instructions - I tried squeegeeing dry and ruined some tint. Build a little extra in to learn 👍 Great product!!! 💓

Exceptionally easy to apply: Just applied film to a bedroom double hung window. Took about 15 min. per upper, lower glass. Used WAY too much spray soapy water, but still only needed a washcloth to clean up. One hand on the film and the other on a 10-inch squeegee does it just fine. Lots of memory in the roll of film until it is sprayed then quite easy to handle. DON'T need two people to put this stuff up as it moved into place with just 2 finger pressure. To save time etc. cut pieces to fit the glass - no cut-around needed! Used piece of 2' x 4' 1/4 in. Luan for a cutting board. Box knife, metal yard stick, and a pen (to mark the film) used. Also, a tape measure to get more accurate glass size.

Awesome! Easy to install and the results are total privacy on all my windows during daytime! Do not forget to use blinds to close up at night, this film works great only in daytime.
