Terrible viewing angle
Case looks nice but viewing angle is horrible. I don’t even know if I want to keep it.

UPDATE: good but trashes your config files
NOTE: Don't install the drivers on a running system, as the installer makes assumptions about out-of-box configuration settings, and overwrites your existing configuration without any warning or backup.Starting with a fresh Raspbian installation, the drivers loaded successfully. I am impressed that the Pi Camera also displays at full speed on the LCD screen. In order to boot to console mode, you have to press CTRL+ALT+F2 in order to get a console screen. The touchscreen is rotated 90 degrees in the console mode, so e.g. 'gpm' won't work as expected. The viewing angle isn't very good. This panel was designed for portrait-mode viewing, so you have to sit at just the right angle to see the screen properly. Even then, there are parallax issues where each of your eyes sees somewhat different colors. All in all, I'm very happy with the display/case combo at this price point (30 USD) and I hope to see driver improvements and/or full open source implementation so I can play around with the low-level interface.------------------Pi starts to boot but freezes after a few seconds. The text is upside-down from what you'd want when placing the device on the side with no connectors in the way. The fixed resolution propagates to the HDMI output so you can't get more than 320x480 on your main screen. Can't tell if the touchscreen even functions because booting stops. Navigating to the Github project shows many open issues, including irreversible overwriting of system files and no developer support. Binary blobs instead of "open source" code. Very disappointed.

if a visual port to your computing needs is necessary this will get you 320x480 I imagine.
Although many OS don't allow screen drawn beyond display limits, if your application's most critical input area is in the top left you might get along on the cheap with this $27 get up. It probably has low power draw without the suggested fan, and could run off many power banks for several half hours. The touch screen TFT screen worked accurately right out of the box. The included case fitments are all within accepted tolerances for the tft application. I've not had a plug not yet met its contacts for peripherals. If one installs DMT mode + 8? One might get scroll bars for the UI window? The instructions were fashioned in translation though quite accurate. The post for mounting a fan are metric thread and fan screw mount points are at 2.5 CM square. M2x20 machine screw with nuts for risers.

Good quality image, touch screen is... imprecise but still useful.
Does a fine job, but the driver, once installed, is rather unforgiving. If you plan on using this screen, install it and the driver as pretty much the VERY last task in your project, and be very conservative when switching video modes for your final project build. Experiment with things and make sure you have a regular monitor handy and you know how many tab-key taps it’ll take to restore your video settings if you need to back out; you might not be able to get everything on the screen in some resolutions/modes. The touch screen is pretty crisp, but occasionally the target just isn’t hitting where you think it is. Definitely use the stylus, but again, in higher-resolution modes, be patient trying to hit smaller targets.

Solid unit. Didnt fit my needs but probably good for the more common softwares
Didnt work with my software but probably will with the more common ones. Didnt return in time so Ill find a different use. Quality but not universal so itll get a 4 and go down if I do a project where advertised sofywares dont work, but appears solid.

Needed a case, got a screen too, am happy with both.
Case is wonderfully well built and easy to put together. The screen works well, but the touch interface can be a bit fiddly with the mouse not precisely where you touch, even if you use a pointed item and the mouse pointer can wobble during a click and make you misclick the wrong thing. However, if you need a case for your PI there's nothing wrong with getting a little screen to go with it that displays things and is pretty versatile as well.

Great little display
Installation was straight forward. A fast, clear touch screen that responds very well to input. Fits perfectly in this case with the LCD display. Screen quality is great for its size, once you get the drivers installed and setup. Instructions have details on how to do all this. I had no trouble putting everything together. Setup couldn’t have been easier. Instructions were easy to follow.Exactly as advertised! Works perfectly. Great little display for the price. If you are looking for a 3.5-inch touch screen display for your Raspberry Pi, this is the screen to get.

Works Great...Once You Get It Going
I installed this on a Pi 3 with Raspbian. Instructions are okay but could used a bit more detail, especially with regards to the leg that is used to support the screen. Installation of the drivers required a distro upgrade from Jessie to the latest version which is not noted anywhere in the printed or online documentation. Once it was up an running, it works fine. I didn't have to adjust the touch accuracy at all and it's very responsive. Overall, I'm satisfied.
