Looks great. No peeling of the lining as can happen with drinking horn products. Fairly priced. Yes, these are not historically accurate but it doesn't matter. It's a cool item.

I floundered over this purchase because of the reviews. From varying sizes to leaky bottoms to chips and bad finishes...I really wanted one but had to wait. Finally, a friends upcoming birthday prompted me to buy it. It was awesome. I bought the Yarl version. No leaks. Finish was great and no visible or perceivable imperfections. So, I ordered one for myself. I. Freaking. Love it. It’s got a few minor imperfections, but worth it. Makes it feels used. Like I’ve drank mead from it all my life. And let’s be honest, chances are Vikings drank out of dirty, moldy wooden mugs, they shared open casks of mead and probably didn’t bathe. Well worth it. I can’t vouch for the other styles. This one has been great.

First off, the mugs are FANTASTIC! Now, I have to tell any prospective buyer this story. One of my mugs arrived with pealing, which sometimes horns do indeed "peel". In addition, the same mug was leaking at the base of the mug. I snapped a photo of the leaks and the peeling, and sent them to them along with a word or three complimenting them on how beautiful the mug was, but that even with epoxy resin being used to seal the leaks, it wouldn't stop leaking. They were so incredibly quick to get a new mug sent off to me. The new mug is flawless. They told me that if I was able to fix the leaks on the previous mug, that I could keep it as well. So, basically I got a "free mug" just for fixing the leaks. That's the level of amazing customer service these folks have. I will definitely continue to buy from them because I have quite a few more mugs to buy in the future because my friends are consistently saying how awesome they look.

I ordered this cup for fathers day. It came beautiful. It had chips in the wood bottom and chips in the horn making it a little sharp on certain areas but overall it was so nice looking. Make sure you wash it! When I was cleaning out the cup I found several little dead bugs in it so you dont want to drink this without washing it. It also smells quite bad after you wet it with water. My husband loved the cup and didnt mind all the nick and chips in it said it added to the "viking" look. Overall happy with the cup will buy more.

So this is my third Horn from this company and I must say they are awesome! This Jarl X-Large is the new one…around 20-30ounces…(says 30oz on the listing). I’d say if your unsure of the size and you want a good size without getting ridiculous I’d look now further. The Jarl design has a rustic upscale feel to it then just the regular natural horn and I absolutely love it!!! The design is so quality and makes you feel like your a Jarl/Earl yourself. I’ve owned the 16oz Jarl and XX-Large 44oz as other references…the 16oz is small for regular drinking, you can get a can in there maybe a little more. The 44oz is massive, and you won’t have to refill it much in a sitting which is nice but makes it bulky. The 30oz seems to fit just right like a bowl of porridge!!! I used a bottle of bodyarmor(16oz) as a reference in the photo…hard to tell by the photo but the bases, which are solid pieces of wood with decent weight, are bigger then the top (that’s kind of obvious since it’s an actual horn and they tend to get bigger near the bottom, but I’ll mention it so you can imagine how much it can hold. Overall I’ve loved these products and enjoyed camping, grilling, bonfires, playing video games, and just watching shows like Vikings/Last Kingdom/Game of Thrones and any other medieval based entertainment with these by myself and with family and the revels are much enjoyed! Thor himself would love to drink mead from this horn, and you should also…buy with confidence! Do not put in the dishwasher, I just rinse after use and it works totally fine! Awesome quality

I ordered the Jarl yesterday and it came in the next day before noon without even having a prime account so i’m really pleased with amazon. The Jarl looks great for a show piece in my room but I think I’ll occasionally drink from it, no hot beverages it says so it’s good for beer or mead if you have some, it doesn’t leak, no dings or scratches at all. 5 star giftable. 5 star lightweight rating. I have a 5 star on durability for the build quality out of the package but it will live most of its life on my shelf and don’t imagine dropping it anytime soon. Overall 5 stars and safe to say I will be ordering another horn mug

Regalato a mio fratello che voleva da un po' il suo boccale personale. Graditissimo. Ora lo ha sempre con sé! L'articolo è come in foto, quindi un bel aspetto 😄 Leggerissimo. Anche se non sembra direi robusto decisamente. Buona impugnatura. L'unica lamentela ricevuta è stata sulla capacità .... 0.5L dichiarati .... ma secondo mio fratello sono sicuramente scarsi ..... "500ml dei cinesi" come dice lui 🤣

This drinking vessel arrived today and of course, I had to christen it! I have purchased four similar items to this in the past (from a different manufacturer). Two are still watertight (or should that be beertight!?) & two are leaking like a sieve. So far, so good with this mammoth one. It holds 2x 500ml cans, if you sup off the froth & keep topping it up. One thing I have noticed about this horn/mug is that it DOESN'T SMELL! Unlike the others I have bought in the past, which absolutely stunk. + It's an absolutely beautiful item, no it's not cheap but people say 'you get what you pay for'. As long as it stays beertight, I'll be more than happy. I would recommend that you don't wash out these mugs in hot water with a scrubber etc. Simply rinse with warm water and allow to dry naturally. Never scrub them out, never put into a dishwasher or freezer. Treat it with care and hopefully, it should last. The two I own are fine, the others I gave away as gifts and they're now leaking. (Again, NOT from this manufacturer!) I'll update this review in a couple of months when it's had some fair use, & if everything is fine, I'll be making further purchases! The mugs come with a 30 day guarantee which can be extended to 12 months by going to the NorseTradesman website. SO FAR.. I am absolutely delighted with 'The Jarl' and I think it's worth every penny.. (as long as it stays beertight!) Happy drinking.. Skål !!!

Déçue, je l’ai offert il y’a un an, il était ébréché, la matière se désintègre.. pas top pourtant jolie design et packaging mais je ne rachèterai pas. Toujours l’impression qu’il est sale

I have had quite a few horns and tankards of various types. This is my third horn tankard and I like it a lot. would have been 5 stars but for a bit where the horn goes onto the wood at the bottom. this bit of the finish let down the overall finish. Don't get me wrong, this is a niggle and in no way affects the overall awesomeness of the tankard. I would definitely recommend it and I would buy another. They are cool as F. Mine comes in at just short of a pint and a half. which is good.
