OPI Nail Lacquer Classic Nail Polish Colors | Nude & Brown Shades

I need to repurchase a ton of polishes as I ended up allergic to gel polish and need to return to air dry and thankfully can do so! I need all of the staples in neutrals, nudes, and earth or mineral tones. All of my polish is vintage at this point and opi is a brand I used to use for a decent quality but many formulations ago. I feel like this isn’t quite the quality I remember. The thickness was different than in the past too. It is pretty durable though for the most part. On the forums this was the color recommended for a classic bare nail look. I like the size of the bottle so there is a good amount of the color to use. I think this looks best as a fast sheer, which I like to have. This is a tad more ballet pink than I wanted for a nude or bare look at the coats I like. My natural nails are improving but they did get a little thin before my recovery, and I like structure. The hardest thing to wave goodbye to was builder. This was a stronger odor than I remember for this brand and my husband wasn’t too thrilled since I also have a pungent top coat I like to use too. I did struggle with this and my sech top coat that I prefer. The shrink was pretty bad and most of my opi didn’t shrink like this one in the past so I was pretty fustrated. I found that using a less favorite top coat worked better in the end. This is one that I can fight to layer and build which is nice. I need to use ridge filler now after the allergy and I was having a time getting this to play nice. I do really like it, but it wasn’t the best in the end for me. I feel like it wasn’t the same consistency or thickness that I am used to either. The polish was very runny but nicely sheer with not too much streaking if I was careful. I do enjoy the color but I have very little time to do my nails as I have a busy four year old and not a lot of time I can be either awake, or away from water and chores to set the polish. I do enjoy having the color and will buy more colors. The price is okay, but I do feel like I could have had a better experience going one more step up the ladder. I know I should just invest but there is a side to me that wants just afforable reliable fast color. This is in the pinks that I like to use though.

Now let’s talk performance of this beauty! This polish clings to your nails like it pays rent there. With a good base and top coat, it survives typing and dishwashing. It’s not indestructible but it holds up impressively well for something this delicate looking. It goes on smooth, it's self-leveling and has zero streaky nonsense. The formula glides on like it’s been doing this for years because, well, it has. Sweetheart lives in that elite “your nails but better” category. One coat = sheer aesthetic. Two coats = soft, milky pink perfection. It’s translucent enough to look natural, but buildable enough to say, “Yes, I meant to look this polished.” The shine is glossy in that “I drink eight glasses of water a day” way. Add a top coat and it gleams like you just walked out of a salon even though you were sitting on your couch watching reality TV. Sweetheart is for when you want your nails to look classy, elegant, and quietly thriving. It’s not here to cause chaos. It’s here to attend weddings, close deals, and hold coffee cups beautifully.

Bubble Bath is a lovely neutral color for your nails. It is suitable for winter to give some color to those frozen finger tips. It looks smashing in the summer on toe nails peeking out in sandals. It is a gorgeous, neutral color for springtime, and pale enough to not do battle with Fall colors. One coat will do it; however, if you wish for a less sheer, more dramatic color…...well, just add another coat. The is a good nail enamel that goes on smoothly, is a soft, pale pink that looks divine on most any skin color. It has a sheer appearance and really needs only one coat to look elegant or casual. It dries fairly quickly, and is lasting. I put some on my toe nails, and it still looked great when I cut them a week later. No chipping! The only grump I have is that when you remove the brush from the bottle, a large amount of polish clings to the brush. Don’t forget to rub the brush against the inside of the bottle to remove the excess that will not only polish your nails, but will also smear onto your skin.

I love this brand and the colors! I purchased this just for myself and find that the colors are really nicely saturated with 2 coats of color and then a fast drying top coat of this same brand over that works well for and and can last for about 2 weeks. Fast, easy, good quality and a good price! try it!

Cute color, works well on pale skin but I hate the way it dries down it never feels fully dry and becomes almost squishy. I also didn't have very good luck keeping it on my nails, it was immediately chipped the next day

OPI is the best nail color that I’ve ever used. It stays on the longest before showing wear. The color I got this time was You Don’t Know Jacques, which fyi is showing up more as a dark plum color. It’s under the heading of nude and brown shades but it’s really not brown at all, which is what it appeared to be to me before buying. ***Update*** I found with more coats that it does appear more brown that I had originally thought. A plum-ish undertone, but it does actually fit into the darker brown category. I like it a lot better than I thought.

Opi is always great but this bottle must be old or has been impacted by environmental conditions. It streaked and clumped a little wen dry. Can be resolved but shouldn't have to for a new bottle. Never have I experienced this with opi before! It seemed like a cheap enamel...bottle wasn't sealed in plastic/stickers like they usually are...is it really opi?? or has opi changed its products??
