Groups in Action: Evolution and Challenges (with Workbook and DVD) (HSE 112 Group Process I)

Gave one star because of frustration as a college student. So I purchased this because our professor told us we had to have it. So, I ordered it. The professor then tries to explain that there is a problem with Cengage and they were working on it, she would update us when it was fixed and the assignment's new due date. So, I hung onto this just in case we did need it and since the professor was all over the place with we need it, they are going to provide it, nope we needed it. Whelp!!! We did not need it. So I log back on here and go to return....which I have never in the last 15 years had an issue with...sigh! It is no longer an option. So I now have this, never used it, never will, and out the money. So I recommend if you need this go through your school's bookstore. At least there they understand there are times professors say you will need it and don't. Just frustrated! As all college students know, books aren't cheap.

This is a great companion to the book Groups Process and Practice. It really helped me to see how a group works and functions in action.

This is the worst value for my money of any book in my doctorate program. It is 118 pages long and $100 with a lot of blank spaces for answering questions. My professor apologized to us after we told her the cost and will consider not using this book again. Five classmates did not buy it and the professor was fine with it. Completely not worth it. If it were $9-12 I would consider buying it. It is unreasonable at $70-100.

I was supposed to receive a DVD with this book. I received only a workbook. This was required for class. Very unhappy! Sending this back immediately!

I really like this workbook. It helped me with my group counseling skills.

Very dry, has many great ideas and perspectives. Workbook has some videos and challenge questions, but this reader was less than thrilled with the course text.

It is a good companion to the text book. Provides many scenarios and characteristics of groups and what can happen in groups.

It comes with a DVD. Amazon does not sell it with it. So, no it did not meet my expectations.
