Dog Gone Smart Dirty Dog Doormat Runner - Cool Grey, 2 ft 6-in x 5 ft

I'm in awe!!! I'm in tears!!! Finally!!! I live with HUGE dogs...two of them are pretty clean and dry by nature (Rhodesian Ridgebacks)....BUT....OH! BUT, then there's my 6yr old, "perpetually damp-probably muddy-often soaked-constantly running into the door as he declares he just jumped in the koi pond!" British lab!!! Thank god he's the sweetest dog on earth because.... Oh my lord help me!!! The mud, the dust, the wet, the "tumbling-tumble fur" all over my wood floors within hours of vacuuming was making me boarder line psychotic!!! His gorgeous, thick coat...that resembles a glossy mink but can stay damp for 48hrs if he gets soaked...was starting cause problems with skin irritation because he would roll in the morning dew on the grass just go get wet! He'd never really dry! And the house always felt filthy! WITHIN ONE DAY IF OWNING THESE RUNNERS MY LIFE AND HIS ARE FORVER CHANGED! HE'S COMPLETELY DRY!!! He came in sopping wet and immediately laid down on it happily (all the dogs LOVE to lay on these thick, plush, soft mats! They seek them out to use as beds!!!). By the time he got up from his afternoon nap, HE WAS DRY!!! My husband thought I was insane when I starting yelling "OMG!!! Come! Quick! Look! It worked!!! Feel him, FEEL HIM! HE'S DRY!!!" But then he saw how well it worked and joined in the festivities!!! BEST REVIEW I CAN GIVE ANY PRODUCT IS SIMOLE: It says what it does and does exactly what it says. That is the perfect review here! The mats absorb water from even the thickest costed dogs, down to their skin, finally getting them fully dry quickly. The microfiber also wicks away and dirt and said that's in their coat, too (ie mine lab had taken a dunk in my huge natural koi pond and all the silt he kicked up that was in the water on his coat was brushed off into the mat as well...rather that drying off and then falling as dust all over my floors after he walked around, laid on the floor, etc. Thanks to these AMAZING MATS, my lab needs 1/10th as many baths (he was up to two major baths with royal jelly shampoo and heavy conditioner a week) because he's nice and dry and I can use my shedding blades and brushes to effectively groom him and then brush in leave in conditioner. It's so much better for his coat and skin...and my back! And I'm saving on all the expensive shampoo and conditioners. I'm also washing a third the number of towels as I used to...we were constantly drying him and laying towels over his bed to help absorb moisture from his coat but it never really worked. So, LESS LAUNDRY, TOO! I'm so thrilled with the two runners I purchased already (one in the kitchen and one in his favorite spot in the living room) that I'm purchasing two more to line the back of my Escalade. They dogs have the entire back section (behind the second row, third row removed) and it's covered by a WeatherTech liner to protect the car, but the car still smelled of wet dog because of the blankets we put on top of the liner for the dogs. They'd get filthy so fast and without any anti microbial properties, they'd stink up the car only days after being washed in sanitizing cycles. I'm thrilled to put these next two runners in there and see how they work. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST AND MOST EXCITED REVIEW I'VE EVER GIVEN ANY PRODUCT!!! I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! And guess what?! I paid for them! I WAS NOT "given these products in exchange for my honest review"! I PAID FOR THEM OUTRIGHT AND I'M STILL DOING CARTWHEELS!!!

I've owned this doggy rug since 2019, and it's still in perfect shape—no fading, fraying, or loss of absorbency. It's my go-to for keeping floors spotless during rainy days or after yard playtime. What I Love: Super Absorbent & Quick-Drying: Soaks up water from shoes, patio furniture rinses, or post-sprinkler dog paws without leaving puddles. Dries in hours, ready for the next mess. Tough on Dirt: Thick enough to scrub off mud from the dirtiest sneakers or large dog prints—I've got a Mini Aussie & a large Chow Chow/Lab who tests it daily. Pet-Friendly Design: Ideal for little (or big) paws; prevents tracks indoors while looking stylish in any entryway. Built to Last: Zero wear after 5+ years of heavy use—I'm only grabbing a new one for my fresh home setup. If you're battling wet floors from weather or wiggly pups, this is a game-changer. 5 stars—highly recommend for homes with humans and hounds!

So I've only had it for a few days so I cant attest to its long term durability BUT I think it is really well made & I expect it to be long lasting seeing the excellent quality of it compared to other "chenille type rug mats". I have used a number of things, besides plain mats, at my front door trying to catch not only the wet snow, ice, mud, dirt, rocks, but also the ice melting pellets and annoying little seeds & nut pieces that get tracked in from a tree in our yard and NOTHING has worked. We do not wear shoes in the house but we might as well because these things get tracked in to the front mat and then tracked across the whole house by the dog and my son's socks! Just one dog outing & I saw a difference! No wet footprints across the floor! No ice melting pellets on my carpet! I can see how this traps everything & absorbs wetness immediately! This is a game changer for me! This might literally save my sanity!!!! It is of great quality - nice & thick & soft on bare feet. I can take off my snow boots and not feel one bit of dampness on my feet! The backing is a nice thick quality rubber backing that grips nicely - no sliding or slippage at all! Like I said it is thick, but does not get in the way of the front door - it still opens & closes just fine over it. I got the 35x26 large size (in Mist color) which is perfect for my entryway as a mat for normal weather but I definitely would like the runner for winter so the first part of my carpet is protected and there's more room for snowpants and snow boots to come off without us huddling on a little mat at the doorway so I just saw the runner (in Mist) is $20 off so I had to take advantage and order it! I normally wouldn't spend that much but after trying out this large size, it's totally worth my sanity!!! The large size is reasonably priced for sure. And because it works so wonderfully i don't think the runner is OVER-priced, but it is above what I am comfortable spending; however w/ the $20 discount and given it is twice the size of this one I will take it! I would not have been able to purchase it had it not been on sale tho. I also just purchased the shammy towel also because this will be a great combo for wiping off the dog after he runs thru 2 ft of snow each time we go outside!! Thank you for making a wonderful product- I hope it holds up for a very long time as I expect it should. UPDATED: So I ordered the runner after loving the large mat so much...for some reason I mistakenly thought the large was 30x26 but it is not...it is 35x26 so when I ordered the runner (30x60) I thought they would be the same width but that was my mistake I got myself confused. I was hoping to use the runner in the same spot as the large mat at the front door just have it come out longer for the winter weather would be helpful. But it was too narrow for my purpose so I kept the large at the front door to continue using as a mat and the runner opposite it at the very first part of my carpet where my shoe tray is and all our outdoor stuff gets dropped! So this works out just as well because I just needed something to cover that portion of my carpet so we don't have to huddle on 1 tiny mat at the door with the dog when trying to take off snow boots/shoes, snow pants, wipe the dogs paws off etc. So now we have extra room to do that and my carpet will not get ruined! I love it! I added the 3rd pic to see the large mat & runner comparison. The scooter and show tray are covering part of the runner but it does go all the way to the wall.

This mat works well for everyday use. It also does well for single rain days. The dog's paws are typically dry by the time they step off of the mat. It will collect the mud from their paws as well. I would recommend getting the runner as it takes a few steps to ensure the paw is clean enough to not track anything on the floors especially if you have large dogs. However, if it rains a lot several days in a row, I found that the mat seems to get full of mud/water and will not clean the paw enough to keep the floors clean. I would recommend washing the mat, perhaps overnight if not being used, if it's raining a lot for a while to ensure that the mat doesn't get full. The mat is easy to wash with a rubber backing. I haven't had any issues with the mat falling apart and it's been washed several times now. It's not the easiest to vacuum, but the vacuum hose or a robot vacuum work well. Overall, this is one of the better mats designed for dogs and keeping floors clean.

Compared this to Muddy Mats and this is supposed to be a bit better and I am very satisfied with this item. I have even bought more! I have three dogs that have a doggy door to outside and when it rains they can really track in the mud. This item catches so much more than I expected! Easy to wash; takes a while to air dry (dryer not recommended). Good grip on floor. I'll be using new ones for after swimming and will be looking into eventually buying a dog bed. I also have a bath mat size that I love because getting out of the shower after another person, it doesn't feel wet like other bath mats. Can't say enough about this company!

We saw this in a local store but we didn't need one at the time. When looking for it again we couldn't find it so we ended up here on Amazon. We were a bit astounded by the price as many other similar rugs are half the price. However, this has been a game changer for us! We have 3 dogs and they often come inside tracking mud, snow, water, etc. in and we have to mop pretty regularly. We also had to use the "mud buster" on our dogs' paws each time they'd come in on a muddy day. We decided to just go ahead and buy this and try it because we saw so many good reviews about it. Ever since we got it, we haven't had to use the mud buster AT ALL!! We also only have to mop a regular amount, we don't have to mop any extra because of dogs tracking anything in. This rug literally just pulls everything off of their paws when they come in. And our dogs love it so much, that they actually lay on this rug just for the fun of it, hahaha. This rug is absolutely worth the money considering how much time it saves for us. Get it, you won't regret it!

I don’t know where to start when it comes to this product.. let me start by saying; if you plan to get a puppy, have a puppy or any four legged family member this mud-rug is a must. We just added a two month old Dachshund named Lilly to the family, and as you know they don’t arrive potty trained. Well, long story short, Lilly has had many untimely and messy accidents inside, but unfortunately for us they all happened 100% on the mud-rug. I’m not sure what it is about these rugs, but dogs are drawn to them as if they were wee wee pads. We bought three of them because our thought was, if we have more than one, we will have one to put in its place while the soiled one is washing & drying, and it’s worked out perfectly. Once they soil number two on the mud-rug, you just remove the pile with a paper towel or pet disposal bag, and if it’s a messy kind all you do is swap it out with a clean one and throw the soiled one in the washer. It’s that easy! And as far as number one goes, you can rest easy knowing that the super absorbent materials soak up to 30-times their weight with absolutely no lingering odors, but that is completely your call. The main thing is; from day one of laying the mud-rug down, Lilly has NEVER did any business off the of the mud-rugs. They are also a fantastic tool for any type of messes i.e. heavy foot traffic all seasons, messy little ones, etc.. we even keep one in our garage entrance way to keep all the outside elements from entering the house. I can’t say enough about these house saving rugs.

Bought this, hesitantly. We adopted a rescue Staffordshire Mountain Cur mix, having no idea about the soft downy little undercoat that flitters away underneath the short top coat. We also didn't consider the size of his paws and ALLLLLLLLL the dirt and debris that those big paws collect and track into the house. Every day - EVERY SINGLE DAY - I had to wake up and sweep and mop first thing and several times throughout the day just to be able to walk on my floors barefoot and also to breathe, as I am an animal loving asthmatic. It was tedious, frustrating and overwhelming to have to sweep the entirety of the areas where re my dogs (plural) would traverse. After reading the reviews, I purchased two of these mats- one for outside the back door, and one for inside, and let me tell you, it has been a TOTAL game changer. Now, let's be realistic- no rug is going to catch every single piece of dust and fur that falls off your fur baby... However, this comes pretty close! Literally it has cut my workload by more than half, and my feet, floor and lungs have seen a HUGE difference!! I now only have to sweep once a day as opposed to several times throughout the day, and there is considerably less dirt and hair- I couldn't believe it This doggie mat really delivers and makes having a hairy family member much less frustrating and a lot less work! Dust and dirt wise, enormous difference. I no longer feel like a crappy housekeeper and dog owner and I no longer grumble to my secret self about all the extra dirt and fur that clogs my lungs and makes breathing a chore. I basically live life as a regular pet owner and do the regular cleaning expected for people that own pets. HOORAY!!! Now I can enjoy my pets (I have 3 dogs and 2 cats!) and my pets can enjoy playing outdoors, and I can stop dreading the mess that they bring when coming in from outside! I especially love that these are reasonably priced! Overall, a fantastic product that does exactly what it claims to do!

Great Stuff. The blue one is beautiful and my puppy love walking on it.

Was purchased for my front door for when my dog comes in from outside. Works great! Absorbs all the moisture and doesn’t smell like wet dog either!

Deze mat neemt het meeste vocht op als de hond met natte pootjes binnenkomt. Nog niet gewassen dus geen beoordeling mogelijk over de kwaliteit na een wasbeurt.
