Wine Diaper - Reusable, Protective and Absorbent Wine Bottle Bags for Travel (3 pack) Made in the USA

When I knew that I wanted to bring some bottles of wine back home from a vacation in Texas a couple of years ago, I studied the Amazon reviews very carefully before deciding on this specific accessory. I have now purchased three sets of these over the last year, and as I prepare for yet another trip (which will definitely involve wine purchases), I will be looking to make another purchase. I have been extremely pleased that the bag does exactly as advertised. Although I was doubtful at first that it would do as described (especially knowing how luggage is handled), I decided to take a chance and I'm glad I did. In three trips I have arrived at home with each of my wine bottles intact. I then decided to use one for other things I considered breakables: a bottle of my favorite fragrance which was traveling with me; a selection of cigars I was taking to a friend. At the "end of the day", nothing was damaged, which encourages me to use the bag for other purposes besides being a wine bottle diaper. Although I am sold on the product and will definitely purchase more in the future, keep in mind that these bags will NOT last forever. Of the nine bags I currently own, two have suffered a bit of damage as the lining is starting to pull apart. The integrity as far as protectiveness is still present, but you need to keep an even more careful eye on the layer, especially when you maneuver the contents into the bag; make certain the lining is pulled upwards so that what you are packing is surrounded by it and secure. While I wish that they were a bit lower in price, this is one of those purchases that will give you peace of mind when you travel, whether you are packing bottles of wine; breakables (especially liquids) that the TSA will not permit due to size, or just delicate items

I use these wine diapers to take a bottle and know it is protected during travel and also to use for new purchases during my trip to bring home. Peace of mind that the liquid will be fully absorbed if the bottle breaks during luggage handling!

There seem to be a lot of similar products that aim to do the same thing: to protect your wine while in transit and make sure that if the bottle breaks along the way, that it keep it from making a giant mess. What is different for this product, the "Wine Diaper Reusable Padded Absorbent Bag, Eco-Friendly Travel Accessory, Set of 3" is that there is an awesome support staff and after sale service. I had bought 4 of these 3-packs and some of the individual baggies did not seem to seal right. After contacting the seller/owner, I was sent a replacement pack right away. PS: there are videos of people actually pouring a whole bottle into them without any issue. I would buy again without any hesitation and trust for my wine to get to wherever i am taking it with no issues.

We have used these on two long international trips. On the first trip, a bottle of brandy that we were bringing home broke even though it was packed in a hard-sided bag and in the wine diaper. I had very casually sealed the top of the wine diaper, thinking that the hard bag would provide ample protection (wrongly, as it turned out). As I unpacked the bag and got closer to the bottle, I could smell a faint whiff of something suspicious but until I actually picked up the wine diaper and felt that it was squishy, I didn't realize that the bottle had broken. There was NO leakage, even with my half-hearted sealing effort, and NO smell in the luggage or any of the clothes. I opened the wine diaper and poured out the entire bottle of brandy. I was Impressed! On our second trip, I was a little smarter and packed the two returning bottles more carefully and there were no unfortunate incidents. These are GREAT! Update July 2018: Just purchased another package. A plastic bottle of honey leaked on our last flight. We had opened it but the cap was firmly closed (so, no inside seal) and it was sealed in a wine diaper. When we got home, I found the wine diaper had been opened and left unsealed (TSA) but the leaked honey was confined to the wine diaper. With only one diaper left from our original 2013 purchase, I have just bought another package. I've also bought them as gifts for traveling friends. We never fly without them and they've held all sorts of liquid-y things that I'd rather didn't leak into my luggage, never mind break. Such a great product.

So far so good with these protective bags. At first I thought the idea of a wine "diaper" was a little silly but I have used them several times to travel with bottles of wine and glass jars and they do add a nice protective layer around the glass. I can't attest as to whether or not the absorbent material inside the diaper works as advertised because none of my bottles have broken, but that's a good thing! I feel pretty secure using these - the padding adds a layer of protection and they zip closed so if there was any breakage it seems that it would be pretty well contained. After seeing mine, my parents have picked up a set as well. A good value, seeing as they are reusable so long as your bottle doesn't break inside.

I bought 3 packs of these for a recent trip to Europe. I used them to bring home 5 bottles of wine, 4 jars of honey, various jars of jam and mustard, and 2 glass ornaments. At present, I can only review them for the protection they provide - they worked so well that nothing broke! The bags are extremely light, thankfully, or I would not have gotten my suitcase under the weight limit. They fit a bottle of wine very nicely. They also accommodate a wider champagne bottle without any problems. The absorbent lining is nice and thick, providing plenty of protection from impact. The zipper closure is substantial and I think it would completely contain a spill, although I can't speak from experience. The plastic is relatively durable, but it's still plastic and shouldn't be handled carelessly. I tore one bag when it got caught in the zipper of my suitcase (I still used it to pad my ornaments, but it is now useless for protection against a liquid spill). These bags passed a serious test on the flight home from Paris to Houston. I was impressed that nothing broke! First, I had almost no extra padding in my suitcase. The suitcase was so full after packing all of my glass that I was only able to fit a down vest on top of everything for extra padding. Other than that, my breakables relied entirely on the padding provided by the absorbent lining of the wine diapers. Second, I had to check my bag, so I had no control over its handling. As if that wasn't enough, the flight was the most turbulent I have ever been on! I'm a frequent flier, so that's saying a lot - I got plenty of airtime in my seat and I'm sure my bag had an even wilder ride. I was certain that something would be broken when I opened my suitcase, but at least I didn't have to worry about my suitcase or vest being soaked in wine. However, despite the rough journey, everything arrived in Texas undamaged! I couldn't be happier! I can't wait to use these on my next trip!

These are marvelous! Earlier this summer I was preparing for a trip to Napa Valley and I wanted to make sure I could bring a few bottles back in my suitcase. Because of the high ratings on Amazon, I bought several Wine Diapers, but I have to say I was pretty nervous when I closed my suitcase full of diapered bottles. The Wine Diapers just didn't seem tough enough to stand up to rough baggage handling common in air travel. But I am pleased to report that although my hard-side suitcase was cracked in two places when it came off the baggage carousel (thanks, Continental!), everything inside the Wine Diapers was intact. I was shocked when I opened my now-destroyed suitcase and found not one broken bottle. The Wine Diapers are much tougher than they look, and I will definitely use them again. Thanks, Wine Diapers!

I fly a couple several times a month and bought these to store my reusable water bottle in during flights, because every once in a while, they'll leak in my bookbag. They fit my bottles fine and have a bid absorbent pad, but my bottles come out covered in whatever material the pad is made of. Putting the bottle in/ taking it out also creates a little static, so when I open the bottle lid, the particles get in the straw and mouth and start to absorb water and then I have a mess of soggy particles. I'm sure it's great for wine, which is it's intended purpose. I don't know that it would absorb a full bottle, but I haven't tested it. What I do know is that it is not a good fit for my needs.
