fantastic 4 port switch... mains powered and comes with a supplied UK spec. charger... all metal construction and lightweight... very easy to set up... supports the maximum speeds your Router can handle... mine runs perfectly with my BT Group 0.5Gbit fibre connection... great product from Netgear... These things are excellent - work well, reliable and simple to use. I have four netgear routers of different types in my home network which covers two large buildings. Very rarely, they need a reset when the network slows down - once or twice a year, so more reliable than other brands I've used. However, I live in an area subject to storms, and the house sometimes gets struck by lightning. Every single time it happens, despite the mains distribution board tripping, and/or overload/surge switches on extension sockets these are connected to tripping , the power supplies get fried. Only on these devices, and every time. The power supply can't be repaired, and costs about the same to replace as buying a complete new switch with power supply, so as here, I replace the entire thing. This is only necessary because the replacement power supplies are not sufficiently robust and are overpriced as a spare part - frankly I think Netgear should replace them free of charge. Anyway, for that reason, 4 stars not 5. If you don't get affected by storms, you'll be very happy with this product.

Handy little switch that was easy to use once I realised the "line in" ethernet cable can go into any port. The instructions didn't make this clear (not to me anyway 😊). I bought it as I had issues with wifi dropping out, possibly due to where my PS5, cable box & AV amp were situated. All are now wired connections and work a treat. I would say good value for money, think I paid £15.

This metal cased 5 port gigabit network switch appears to be built to the same high standard as other Netgear products. It has a separate "wall wart" type power unit. Just plug it in, attach network cables and let the switch do the rest. Because this is an unmanaged switch there is nothing to configure. My only slight complaint is that, unlike some of the earlier Netgear ethernet switches with two LEDs per port, this switch has only one LED per port. This means that there is no way to check the speed of each link. Depending on your application, this may not matter.

Works excellently, small enough to fit anywhere and is essentially a plug it in and it works option. I have fairly fast internet and it does not bottleneck when downloading stuff on multiple devices simultaneously.

Despite that I bought this item via amazon.SE inside EU, it came with incompatible AC plug(I guess UK variant). Therefore I cannot use it. I think that it violates the Low Voltage Directive or alike.
