Poshland DG-28 Handmade Damascus Steel Knife – Beautiful Rose Wood Handle

I give this knife a 5 star rating. I like sharp pointy things to begin with, and when the blade is Damascus, WOW!!! The Damascus work is nice, 172 layers. Although it is not that expensive, it isn't cheap. It appears to be a heavy duty knife although I do prefer a full tang style. I don't know too much about steel, but I guess the different steels in the blade are a good choice of material. I like the rosewood handle with the Damascus plates on each end. Pommel and guard maybe? The knife is well assembled although I do feel the handle could be a little lighter, else it does have somewhat of a clubby feel. I also like the fact that the sheath features a gusset between the two outer layers to prevent the blade from cutting the threads. In looking at the knife, it strikes me that the blade would make a terrific spear point. Although the maker claims it is hand sharpened, it really does need a little more work as delivered. easy to fix.

Great looking, great feeling blade. I’m not a fan of every knife being Damascus steel but it works with this Dirk-style blade. Compliments the basket handle sword too

Nice pattern welded steel, the handle is a bit larger than expected, but overall, quite impressive.
