Great product!
I initially found a pre-cut mica sheet on Amazon that matched my microwave perfectly, but it was too expensive and had a long delivery time. So, I decided to try this customizable mica sheet set instead. At first, I was worried about cutting out the small holes, especially after reading reviews mentioning that the mica sheets can break easily. My first attempt didn’t go well—I accidentally damaged a piece. On my second try, I used a sharper pair of scissors, but it still required a lot of force and precision to cut out the shape. To make the process easier, I used a utility knife, carefully pressing down multiple times to carve out the small holes. In the end, I successfully cut the piece to fit my microwave, and now it works perfectly again! I’m so proud of myself! My microwave model seems to have one of the most complex mica sheet shapes, so I believe cutting for other models should be even easier. Highly recommend this product!

Mica Plate and Scissors Perfect
I am glad I ordered the plates with scissors. The mica plates would wreck your scissors. I only needed one plate but it was comforting to have spare plates in case I goofed up shaping plate to replace the damaged microwave plate. Very happy with purchase.

Don't toss out your microwave oven! You can probably fix it with this!
I bought this to fix an LG microwave oven that started arcing. The first thing to check if that is what you have going on with your oven is the microwave guide plate on the side of the oven. If it is burned or discolored the guide plate needs to be replaced. If you can find the correct one for your make and model, order it. That was not the case for my LG. This "kit" comes with four pieces. You have extras in case you miscut one or two or even three. As per reviews, I did not attempt to use the included scissors...they are garbage! I used a nice old-school sharp shears that I have, as well as a snap-blade razor knife with a brand new blade. DO NOT attempt to use the scissors that come with the kit or a dull razor knife. You would be setting yourself up to fail! I used a thin mechanical lead pencil to trace the outline. The above all being said, it is a very easy task to cut out the new one using the old one as a template. Once trimmed up and installed, my microwave worked like new again. Be sure to clean the inside of your oven completely before installing the new waveguide plate. Especially, clean around the opening where the plate was removed. Wipe everything down after cleaning, with plain water to remove any soapy residue. A few last tips. If you are melting butter or heating oils of any kind, be sure to cover the container that they are in with a paper towel. It is the grease on the waveguide that causes it to arc and malfunction! Also, UNPLUG the oven before doing anything inside of it...there are dangerous voltages in a microwave...4000 or more to be exact! Finally, NEVER run your microwave empty! Put a cup of water in to test it!

Wonderful product
My microwave kept acting up and I figured out was wrong and ordered these and has worked wonderful. I was afraid I would have to get a new microwave but these saved me from getting a new one. And I like how if I eventually need a new microwave I can cut it to the new microwave if I had too.
