- Butyrate Calcium Magnesium - Postbiotic for Gut & Digestive Support

It came really fast - less than 24 hours! And it seems to really be working!? My gut seems to be better already (like almost immediately?). And I’ve been taking the product for about a week now and there haven’t been any gut problems to speak of… I will update my review when I know more and if I become convinced that this supplement is as good as it seems!

I have been using the body bio calcium magnesium butyrate for a year and I am not sure if it works. I like the smell so that is not an issue. Keep in mind that if you buy the product on Amazon, bodybio will not provide any customer service for the product. I bought a bottle of butyrate and it smelled and tasted much different than my other bottles. I contacted bodybio and was told that it is fine and should continue to take it. After doing experimentation with the bad bottle and a different bodybio cal/mag butyrate I realized that this bottle was making me slightly sick. I contacted bodybio since it was past amazon's return date. Their website says they will replace a product within 60 days no matter what. Their website is misleading because it was a struggle for them to send me a new bottle. They told me they would do it this time, but never again. Even if you buy it on amazon from the bodybio company they won't give you customer service even if their product makes you sick.

I have been very intentional about improving my gut health, blood sugar control, and overall health, and this product has been a great addition to my routine. What I like most about BodyBio Butyrate is how consistent and gentle it is. After taking it regularly, I noticed less bloating, more predictable digestion, and an overall calmer gut. It does not feel harsh or cause urgency like some other digestive supplements. From a health standpoint, butyrate plays an important role in supporting the gut lining and helping manage inflammation, which is something I am actively working on. This fits well with my goals of improving metabolic health and digestion as I get older. I also like that it complements a whole food diet rather than trying to replace it. Be cautious -- one of the ingredients is medium chain triglycerides (MCT). I have elevated cholesterol and quit taking this just in case.

My dermatologist recommended I take this. he told me he has studied a lot about butyrate and was so convinced by how beneficial it is, that he wanted me to add it to my acne regimen. He told me to start with one a day with meals, and build up to a max of 6 a day. I had (had!!! :) a severe case of cystic acne...hormonal and genetic...after months of antibiotic treatment, I had recurring thrush (yeast) in my mouth. I am now off antibiotics, and have not had a laser treatment in 6 months. I have not had a yeast recurrence since starting this product. I also have celiac disease so my gut is very sensitive. From my research I can see why he wanted me to take it. It is good for someone who has been on a lot of antibiotics, since it is a prebiotic. He told me the short chain fatty acids would help unclog my pores and help manage the sebum issues that contribute to the acne. My skin is doing very well, however I believe the primary reason is that I have hormonal acne and part of my acne treatment involved going on hormonal birth control to manage it. I was supposed to start accutane, but I am doing so well I feel like I will just keep taking this supplement along with my topical prescriptions and the birth control. I am just thrilled to be off antibiotics, off the anti-yeast medications, and not having to go in for laser treatments every 4 weeks! I am happy with the affordable price on Amazon. It is much more expensive buying direct, I was charged $11 shipping buying it direct from bodybio site, bringing my total to about $70 for a bottle of 250 capsules. I compared the bottles and opened the capsules from each container, the one I purchased direct from bodybio and the one from amazon, and everything appears identical. I tasted the contents of each capsule. I was wondering why it is so much cheaper on amazon and wanted to make sure it was exactly the same product. From my non-clinical observations, they are exactly the same so I will be buying it on amazon from now on. The powder tasted awful,...salty actually...but I guess thats just how it tastes! bottom line, I will continue taking this product, it is beneficial for anyone with acne, anyone who has been on antibiotics, has gut issues or autoimmune disease such as celiac.

Not been using it for long but has made a difference in terms of better bowel habits already. Not the nicest smell but it is in a capsule and is gone in a second. I did a fair bit of reading round the subject before taking so am hoping to get some of the longer terms health benefits too. Difficult to assess at the moment as only couple of weeks in. This one was recommended by a doctor to me . Not cheap but one bottle lasts a fair amount of time.

Also bei mir gut verträglich. Und ja bekannt alles mit Buttersäure hat sein Geruch. Aber beim Öffnen des Behältern merke ich es kaum. Allerdings wenn man die Kapseln mit den Fingern begrabbelt, riechen diese danach. Ich hole die Kapseln mit einem Löffel raus.

Noticed no benefits and this is an expensive supplement

This stuff is a life saver tried other brand but they are rubbish. Stops my allergies straight away
