Pearls Acidophilus Probiotic

I've been taking these probiotic pearls for years now, and they've made a real difference in my digestive routine. I'm someone who used to struggle with irregularity, but these have kept me regular and consistent. The pearls are easy to swallow - much smaller than a lot of probiotic capsules I've tried. I take one every morning with breakfast and it's become part of my routine. No weird aftertaste or stomach upset, they just do their job quietly and effectively. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Some products work for a few weeks and then seem to lose effectiveness, but these have been reliable for me year after year. I notice when I run out or forget to take them for a few days - things just don't move as smoothly. I've tried other probiotic brands when these were out of stock, but I always come back to these pearls. They're the only ones that have worked this well for me long-term. The price is reasonable, especially when you consider I've been using them for years and they've never let me down. If you're dealing with digestive issues or just want to maintain better regularity, I'd definitely recommend giving these a try. They've earned a permanent spot in my daily routine!

I was diagnosed w/ Crohn's Disease in 2006 and was hospitalized w/ a boil in my small intestine for 7 days. Luckily, they didn't operate. That was a big scare and wake-up call. I think my symptoms started after I had mercury fillings replaced a year or two earlier. I think some of the mercury from the fillings was swallowed and wreaked havoc in my system. (I didn't go to a biological dentist). I looked for many different ways to improve my health via diet and supplements after that hospital visit, etc. I've been taking Garden Of Life Ultra Primal Defense Probiotics for many years. They have many good strains. I think about 12 total. I thought they were the best I could find and they did help, along with fish oil and turmeric, even colloidal silver, vitamin D and sunshine helps too. I also avoided processed foods and sugar, white flour, etc. I had things mostly under control, but still wasn't feeling as good and regular as I should have. Still had occasional pain, IBS symptoms, gas, bloating, running to the bathroom when my stomach got nervous if I was in an uncomfortable situation, frequent bathroom visits, etc. After taking these Pearls for a few weeks now, the difference is incredible. I feel so much better. Perhaps exercising more has something to do w/ it as well, but I noticed a huge difference with these Pearls just in the last 2 or 3 weeks. I noticed it almost immediately. These Pearls really work great, much better than anything I've tried. I'm guessing the thicker coating and delivery deeper in the digestive tract is part of what does the trick. I'm really starting to feel like my life is going back to normal when I felt young and healthy again 10 years ago. Again, I'm sure the exercise has soemthing to do with it, but it's definitely not everything. Definitely try these Pearls for a month. I'm amazed that something so inexpensive has made such a huge difference, when doctors want to keep you on drugs the rest of your life for Crohn's and operate.

With the risk of explaining a few of the taboo subjects of the female system, I will explain up front that my review isn't primarily about digestion and improved skin condition like other reviewers reported...... With that said, I was on the market to solve a little problem that would eliminate constant requests to the doctor for Fluconazole and Monistat products. All women produce yeast, some produce a bit much....thus the need for a better solution. Yogurt is the #1 most recommended food used to balance the body's natural production, so you are told "Eat more yogurt". Well, sure, why not?? However, I'm not huge fan of yogurt, nor do I intend to eat it 2 times a day or more. If that worked, I wouldn't be posting this review. When I searched and found this product, I was skeptical because no one mention it's effectiveness in balancing the body's natural production of yeast. Perhaps it's really just too much a taboo subject to actually post a review on? I'm not sure. After staring at this product in my cart for a few weeks, I finally gave in and bought it. It's a little expensive, but I decided it would be worth the money, if it works. I am happy to say that it does work! After two weeks of consistently taking this product, I'm pleased that I've found a much simpler solution than downing yogurt constantly or making embarrassing trips to the store. Plus, I found that it also does what the other reviewers reported on: regulated digestion and improved skin condition. The last one I didn't believe, but I didn't care because that wasn't what I bought it for. However, improved skin tone and fewer blemishes is a nice perk too! This product really should be sold in stores, made easily available. I'm just not sure which department it would best be marketed in (health & beauty, dairy, or feminine department?) but I intend to continue using it. 5 stars for this product. It does exactly what it promises to do. I'm happy to find a solution for really multiple reasons!

I can tell a big difference in digestion and “regularity” when I take these

I have a love hate relationship with these little pearls. I gave 4 stars because they're somewhere between 3 and 5. Let me explain... **TMI WARNING IN THE FOLLOWING**... Scroll to the bottom to skip the TMI portion with backstory and just get the nitty gritty! I had to start taking a blood pressure pill, which I'd never had to take before. I took one (Clonidine) and it didn't have any sort of digestive issue that I could tell but it made me extremely tired (note, it *is* a sedative) and loopy, and I had a lot of trouble focusing. I talked to the doctor about how the side effects were affecting me at work and so forth, and he prescribed me Amlodipine Besylate. It was much better, except that I became badly constipated. Despite not being one, it has a lovely diuretic effect on me making me go too much number 1 and not enough number 2. I talked to the doctor again. I had recently also changed my diet and went from having stomach aches all the time to never. This was a mixed bag because the problem is that my stomach probably has acquired the same issue as why you shouldn't take a stimulant laxative all the time - too many stomach aches seem to have made my body reliant on a stomach ache to have to go. However, I also had made similar dietary changes as when my digestion had regulated previously and at that time, everything seemed to "be moving" really well even without stomach aches. But despite my dietary changes, it wasn't enough to combat the effects of the Amlodipine. He told me I could take Miralax or the equivalent or Dulcosate Sodium, even every day if needed since they are both stimulant-free laxatives. Stool softeners. Things started to improve and I started to go every other day or so. I decided to buy these though, thinking maybe they would help (after all, I've taken plenty of laxatives and never a probiotic, I don't eat much sauerkraut and no kefir, just yogurt) and maybe I could even go off the dulcosate sodium and have all the miraculous effects that people swear by probiotics for. Nope! These made me feel constipated all over again, AND gave me more gas than I was having. Brilliant! I figured, maybe that was some random effect of my system adjusting to them but... nope. I'm over half done with one blister pack, I've taken them for a couple weeks now, and the results have remained the same. Note, I did NOT stop taking the dulcosate sodium tablets (250mg 1x/day) but suddenly it seemed to negate the benefit. I decided to keep taking them in the beginning, and although I've considered stopping a couple times because it's very irritating, but here's why I've stayed on them - when I am able to go, I go a LOT. I'm not straining, I don't have diarrhea, I just have those stools that they talk about in that infomercial that are like the guy who has the daughter who poops the length of his arm. I feel like I'm pooping out my large intestine each time. But, on the dulcosate sodium *only*, I was not straining but not always able to go much. More frequently, but not too much (better than "little marble size" though still). ***END TMI (for the most part)*** Ultimately, they have a negative effect on me of <TMI>constipation</TMI> which hit pretty much immediately (day 1), but they also have a positive effect of <TMI>going more</TMI>. I would suggest them, but I would recommend keeping your expectations reasonable. For some people they seem to work extremely well. But for others, like me, it's give and take. I think that a different kind with additional strains, and perhaps no acidophilus, The positive effect just *slightly* edges out the negative. Also, when it is time to go, it hits pretty suddenly despite not having a stomach issue. I'd say it's really up to your body. Though, it's possible that if you do have issues with diarrhea, they might be helpful? For the price it's worth a shot. They're in a blister pack and only pebble sized so if you decide you don't want them, give the rest to a neighbor or something and try something else like I probably will in the future.

I love these probiotics. Anytime I have to take antibiotics, I take one of these along with it. It helps prevent stomach upset and irritation. These are so easy to take because they are super tiny. They're a little on the pricey side but definitely worth it. You do get 30 in the box so I feel like it's a great value for your money. This is my favorite brand to use. I can't always find these at my local store so I appreciate being able to order them from Amazon. I highly recommend this probiotic supplement.

Good value. Immeduate notice in unhealthy guts. No taste, smooth easy to swallow. In 1 week, noticeable regularity and ease in bowels.
