I did not expect very much out of this simple little bow, but I was purchasing it for my kid who has never used one before so I want really concerned about that. I just wanted something my 10 year old could draw on their own to go to the archery range and do some target practice to have something fun to do outside, build some focus and attention, get a little exercise, that kind of thing. I tried it myself, however, and was very impressed that it not only easily hit the target on the first shot, but embedded the arrow more than halfway into the fiber target! This could function for small game hunting with enough practice and the right kind of arrows and heads. My kid was but nearly as impressed, but still had fun learning range etiquette and getting to shoot targets with friends who were also out there getting in some archery practice. We lost one of the screws that holds the sight in place, so I'll need to find a replacement for that but my kid is still on the very basics of archery and doesn't even understand how to use that part yet. Assembling the bow was pretty easy for me, but I did need to sit while doing so in order to use my feet to hold the opposite end in place while stringing it. I also put the string on the wrong direction at first, but that was a very easy fix to make. The quiver feels very sturdy and even though the strap is awkward to get on/off I think it's going to last a long time and that we will become accustomed to it with use. The arm guard is a little persnickety to adjust, so be aware of that if you have issues with dexterity or grip, and it is definitely sized for a child or small adult. Assembly instructions were mostly in pictures, but overall easy to follow, especially if you already have some level of archery experience. I would recommend this product to someone who is new to archery and especially for someone looking for a bow for a child age 8 or older. I think about age 8 is the youngest that would likely be able to draw this bow due to it's size, but that would definitely depend on your child's height and strength. Would probably also be great for seniors looking to maintain or gain arm strength. You're not going to be able to down a deer with this, but if you get good enough using it I can see it being able to take rabbits, squirrels, and similar sized small game with the appropriate arrows.

While it is not a bow for precision target shooting(the only downside). This is a great set for for introducing archery! My son loves it, and it has truly kindled a love for the sport in his heart! The price is spot on for this set, which is fairly durable, and surprisingly accurate despite being a simple bow. Made with good materials to tolerate the learning curve associated with learning to string a bow and from what I see years of use. This is a great find, and if you are looking to get someone into archery, or who wants to learn an inexpensive one as well.

You get what you pay for so don't set your expectations too high. It does the job if you just want to introduce kids to archery. I purchased the 30 lb version for my 12 year old son. The arrows are so blunt they would just bounce off my regular target so I used my bench grinder to give them all a slight point. Much better. The fletching are a sort of thick rubber, which while they seem durable, they hit the rest on shooting and tend to make the arrow fly funny. But there is no way to add a proper rest so you get what you get. After 3 days of shooting no breaks or issues so far. The pin sight seems pretty worthless. I do wish it had a metal clamp thing on the string because the finger rollers move up and down so we are always adjusting their position. Overall it is fun and we can't argue at that price!

Great quality. Perfect for beginner child. Even for an adult. The quiver is strong. I love everything about it.

Shoots very far, delivered on time, and its the perfect amount of weight, and it includes lots of excitement and fun. Could NOT wait to recieve the package. Assembling the bow may be a bit difficult because you have to bend the bow with all your power and your strength. Its very sturdy, and it is age appropriate. And the accuracy between in real life and in picture it looks EXACTLY how it looks in the pictures. Another thing, it has all the included accessories. The stability as well is absolutely amazing.

I found the bow pretty easy to string and assemble. I did break two of the plastic nocks on the first trial run, but it's easy to buy replacements. This really is a "see if you like archery" bow and I appreciated that the seller tells you that upfront. Definitely met my expectations and was a good price.

The bow itself is pretty good but the arrows are terrible quality

My son is a lefty and this is great. He was able to learn quickly and use this bow and arrow! It is such a big hit for him and all the neighbors. I have a 7 and 11 year old and this is the perfect size and weight for both of them. It is definitely for beginners but perfect for anyone just starting out! It seems sturdy and so far has lasted play and pretend play as Hawkeye and Legolas! It comes with 9 arrows with blunt tips. One tip had already broken off but they still use the arrow. I love this set!

I teach archery and love to shoot in the backyard, but my full bow is too strong and dangerous for a neighborhood. this is perfect for anybody as a practice bow, its durable and im so happy with it. The thing can take some strength as well. im 260 6'1, so any big guys wondering if this would be too frail, you're good.

Think before you buy

I bought this for my young teenager, who was interested in getting into archery. He loves it! The draw on the bow is substantial enough and the weight of them is great for youth or adult beginners. The included instructions are easy to follow. The quiver is perfect and the quality of it seems sturdy. The arm guard is useful, especially for those just starting out. My son has had this set for almost a year now and still enjoys it. The only issue we’ve had is the plastic end cap came off a couple of the bows, but they were an easy fix with crazy glue. We’ve been pleased with the quality of this set for the price, and he has gotten lots of use out of it so far. I’d definitely have no issues recommending this archery set for young teens or adults looking to try archery. Super fun!
