Must have for beginner and intermediate wire worker.
I own a couple books, magazines and tons of written tutorials and this book is my favorite and most referenced. This is a great book for beginners and it shows how to make all the basic techniques to make findings with clear and easy instructions. Even though I knew how to make these findings I found the techniques in this book made my findings easier to make, more consistent and look a whole lot better. It shows you the tools to use which are just your basic tools and how to use them, which is nice for a beginner. I found it nice that she includes patterns for a wig jig. There are lots of fun and pretty patterns, many of which I have made and many I have easily altered to fit my own style and ideas. There are lots of patterns to keep you busy for a long time and the pieces are very beautiful! And have every type of jewelry, rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets. This book is a must have for the beginner and intermediate wire worker. On the downside this book does not show how to wire wrap, or wrap a pendant.

A Truly Inspiring Jewelry Book for All Levels
I have been making wire wrapped jewelry for over 20 years to help me "unwind" from teaching and working in the IT field. Being self-taught, over the years I have purchased many books and magazines on the subject to give me guidance and ideas. I passed on this book several times because the pictures on the cover looked a little "frilly" for my tastes. However, I glanced at a copy in a local art store and was immediately enamored and fascinating by the incredible designs, easy to follow directions, and logical hints that I should have thought of myself. Since the art store copy was damaged I placed the order on Amazon as soon as I got home.Since receiving it I have made and then modified many of the projects Ms. Wuller offers. Everyone I have given one of these pieces to has loved it and complimented me on the designs. While I have many excellent books on the subject, this one and Jewelry Studio: Wire Wrapping, stand out for their inspired designs, ease of understanding, and total enjoyment in crafting. As you may have guessed, I strongly recommend, even urge you, to enter the world of Ms. Wuller and allow her words, projects, and pictures to stimulate and expand your artistic abilities in the world wire wrapped jewelry.

great instructions
I love the photographs in this book more than anything. I'm a very visual learner, and was able to pick up the techniques almost immediately. I have had trouble with blurry you tube videos and confusing non-illustrated descriptions while learning from various online resources, making this approach like a breath of fresh air.She covers all the basics of links, loops, basic wire wrapping techniques, making your own headpins and jumprings, making pretty clasps, different forming techniques, a chapter on using jigs, and a number of projects to try. The book is laid out such that it would be great for teaching a class or teaching yourself. Just go through it in the order presented, and you'll be kept busy building skills to get to the next level. Everything is well-written, well-illustrated, and clear.I'm going to be checking out some other titles by this author, and I highly recommend this to beginning and intermediate skilled crafters of handmade jewelry. If you have not yet purchased your tools, she does a great job of going through the essentials. I kind of wish I had read this before I got started.

Great starting point
I have been creating simple jewelry, mostly earrings, for a while, and was ready to move on to making my own wire components. I could take a class that, including materials and travel, would cost me about 75 dollars. Instead I ordered this book and bought a few materials and didn't spend even half what the class would've cost. If you feel comfortable following written instructions with detailed photos, this book is better bang for your buck than a one-off class. The book is full of great photos, most of the instructions are clear (and when I couldn't follow the wording, the pictures usually helped), and there is enough to get you started with wire work. You will quickly move on past the basics in this book, though, so it functions as a great bridge in your learning. I find photos online of jewelry I want to re-create, and referring back to the book almost always shows me each of the components I need.

Nice project book for a beginner - teenage fun
Good book for beginners - nice projects. I think this book would be more suitable and definitely more appealing to a teenager who wants to explore and create fun jewelry. There are really only two projects in this book that I personally liked well enough to want to try, but I bought it for the tips and tutorials (which were alright, but not outstanding).I liked that the book included a section on working with a jig - something I saw at the local craft store, but wasn't sure about whether it would be useful and worth the expense. Based on this book I picked up the Thingamajig and created a fun necklace. All in all I enjoyed the book since I am still a beginner, but I must say that I totally hated the quality of the book cover itself - way to easy to bent the coverpage and after just thumbing through a couple of times the book looked looked well used - I bet it will fall apart by the time I finished both projects.

The most inspiring jewelry book I own (or I've seen!)
I own many jewelry books of several types and this book is BY FAR leaps and bounds above the rest in all the important areas. It is gorgeous to look at and ALL of the projects are inspirational - meaning that they lead your mind to other applications of the techniques shown. It is an excellent teaching tool: it details particularly well the materials and tools you will need to be successful with this type of jewelry work, and the instructions for each technique and project are so well outlined and easy to follow. I truly am blown away by this book! (in case you can't tell!) Most books I've found to be somewhat disappointing, and not always as well-written as you might hope for. But to find all of that PLUS to love EVERY project... WELL! What an accomplishment!
