I know it says it can read abs codes.  can it send a command to activate, run, engage each abs solenoid to bleed the unit?

I can answer this question for you. YES the LAUNCH OBD2  Scan Tool can bleed your ABS brakes. It can active, run and engage the solenoid to bleed the brakes. HOWEVER, that function is an add on to the device. What you do is open the MALL function on the unit and PURCHASE the ABS BRAKE BLEED ADD ON. I never knew what the MALL was until I replaced the ABS pump on my Mazda and they said I would need to bleed the pump with a special scan tool. I wanted to do it myself so I checked and found the mall function and purchased an ABS Brake Bleed add on to my unit. I cost me $15 to download but, it worked and was worth every penny.
