Rain Bird LNDDRIPKIT Drip Irrigation Kit

This is great quality and very versatile. The instructions weren’t very clear but after some YouTubing and common sense, it was easy to put together. I love how versatile this set up and how you can really create your own personal system. The best thing is you can buy extra parts if you need them or want different attachments.

I have used Rainbird drip irrigation for many years. I leave it out over the harsh freezing winters without any issues. In the spring, I inspect for leaks at start up, and check each emitter to make sure they are functional. If you have any sediment in your water, you may want to use an in-line filter before your water timer and hose adapter, so the drip emitters do not clog up (see photos). This kit comes with everything you need except the water timer to set up a drip system I run the 1/2" hose around my house, and tap off of it with the drip emitters. This kit only comes with 50 feet of 1/2" main hose, which runs out fairly quickly if you are trying to irrigate around the entire house. But it is ideal for a small garden. The main hose can function as the entire drip system all the way around your house, making it easy to install. The micro bubblers are adjustable for the diameter of coverage and are good for areas with annuals, so you do not have to run a line to each plant. For shrubs, use a drip emitter sized to your plant's thirst needs. 0.5 gallons/hour, or 1 gallon/hour, etc. This system works well and does not flood out your foundation, so you should not have to worry about getting water into your basement or crawl space if you water your foundation plants in the spring and summer. It is a good value for your money, especially using less water and keeping expensive plants alive in dry summers.

I love this Rain Bird watering system. I got it as a gift from friends at my previous home and they installed it for me. I just bought a new house and my friends are 8 hours away (nuts) so I bought a new system and installed it myself. (For reference, I’m a 66 years old woman who’s thin and has a gym membership but very rarely goes! Lol) First, if you are like me, I either over water or forget to water. I’m not consistent. And I travel so I am always asking someone to water my plants while I’m gone. So this was a game changer!! I put down landscape cloth and laid the watering system hose around my new bushes and connected feeder lines where next spring’s flowers will planted, I even ran a line to my new smaller tree in the front yard under the sod I just installed. And, I ran lines to my potted plants. Whew! It only took me a couple hours. It could have been done faster if I didn’t stop and explain what I was doing to my neighbors. I set up the timer for watering at 6 am 3 days a week and I am no longer worried about killing my shrubs, trees or plants! I know my flowers will be gorgeous next year!! If you’ve thought about buying something like this, do it!! When I had my sod installed in the sandy clay dirt of Florida, I also had them put in irrigation. Guess what professional irrigation system they use??? Yes, ma’am or sir, Rain Bird.

Great product; however, Rainbird AI said it would be excellent for my 3 raised gardens, but I ended up having to buy a lot of extra stuff

This was so easy to set up. So far I’ve only used it in my rose garden where I have 5 rose bushes. I got the puncture tool from a different vender which made the last rose bush setup even easier because it was quicker to put the hole in the hose. The tool in this kit does the job but can take a few minutes where the other tool takes milliseconds. I’m a 61 year old female and the total setup took me maybe 20 minutes after reading directions thoroughly and figuring out what was what before getting started. I’m looking forward to setting up another drip system in my butterfly garden, where I’ll use more of the fittings in this kit. I only have to buy one extra hose connector as this kit comes with only 1.

I’m doing a drip irrigation system for the first time. I got this kit as I wasn’t sure what I would need or what would work best for my application. The kit has a bit of everything and worked very well for me. Very happy with this purchase.

Don't buy this, get those soaker hoses you were thinking about OR pay more for a good system. I wouldn't buy this product. The tool to set up the barbed fitting to the main line is junk. Other brands have a punch which makes the correct size hole. When punching through the main line you have to be careful not to push through the other side AND not make the hole any larger. Easy if you are doing 1 or 2 connections but not more than that. This leads to a leakage and makes it almost the same as a soaker hose for 10 times the cost and 5 times the installation time. The installation is difficult for more than a few connections. Instructions are garbage and all of Rainbird's videos are promotional. Drip Depot has better videos. Their system is a little more pricey but when I replace this I'm either going with the soaker hoses or a good system.

at first husband didnt see the point... but has since installed it for his 50 sum baby cedars and loves it! easy to install for any garden project!

Awesome, looks scary before you start, but when started, it does very easy, no leaks anywhere

Easy to install

Buy this for 500 sq foot vegetable garden. Or buy separate parts for the accessories you need to accommodate your natural landscape. I bought two and got some spray plugs (different supplier) and all in all, a great start to easily setting up your own irrigation system. Way way less expensive than hiring someone to do it. Spend a day or two and watering becomes a dream.

Simple to install and it works. Price and delivery were both good. Would recommend.
