All while my Conure, Tequila was growing up we tried a variety of bird seed that were filling and good for him. I find Rowdy Bush to be a favorite of his. The different varieties for tiny to huge birds makes it a good choice for bird owners. Tequila is a spoiled fella, and loves different fruits veggies and nuts, but he always seems to make sure he eats some of the Rowdy Bush bird foods that are offered to him. The quality is very good, it’s nutritious , and healthy for him. I don’t like to buy foods that add colors because I worry the dyes aren’t healthy for them, so I appreciate that they don’t add extra colors to the food. It may be a bit more expensive than some other brands, the health benefits are worth that little bit more to me. It comes in different sizes and price ranges, so you can start out smaller or larger depending upon your preference.

Our Sun Conure loves this brand of RoudyBush, not so much the low fat (lighter in color, not green in color). The quality and price are excellent. We put them in an air tight container.

My parrots have been raised on the Roudybush and won’t eat any other brand.

If you're wanting to get your bird off of an all-seed diet (as you should)...this is the go-to. I've never failed in switching a seed-fed parrot onto a roudybush diet, supplemented by fresh veggie chop. Go full cold-turkey, pellet only--trust me--and start offering clean fresh bird-safe veg as well with the occasional healthy treat (blueberries, almonds, pine nuts etc.) Avoid human salty/fatty junk food, of course. Even my pickiest rescue parrot (a Black-Capped Caique whom I was told would NEVER eat pellets) gobbles this stuff down. Most seed mixes feature 'filler' seeds that birds will ignore while Roudybush is uniform in composition--therefore less wasted food and money.

Surprisingly easy to transition all 3 of my birds to Roudybush Maintenence pellets. I have always fed Zupreem and they recently stopped producing the flavor I used, most of it ended up on the floor anyway. I expected my birds would sample Roudybush and toss a lot of it, and was pleasantly surprised to find both my Greys and my Caique actually eat the Roudybush and waste very little. The small size are really small but they don't seem to mind. It makes a great solid foundation to compliment their fresh food diet.

I don’t care for this product because the primary ingredient are corn, wheat, and soy. I wanted to avoid those fillers, but since that what my bird was brought up on when I got him, I had to wean him ontosomething else.

I saw this in my Quick Picks, so decided to try them with my three parrots. They used to eat junk food but got them to start eating Harrison's. The biggest problem with Harrison's is they're quite expensive, costing almost $5 a pound in 25lb quantities (in 1 pound bags, they cn cost $10-12. So we're giving these a try. So far no complaints. One thing I must point out to any bird owners. Many people think if their bird eats pellets, that's all they need. Imagine if you had to eat the same thing, day in and day out. So if you get your parrot eating any pellets, augment their diet with other good food like fresh fruits and veggies. I also give my guys junk food, but in limited quantities. A few sips of a milkshake, fruit juice, s bit of cheese or Ginger Snap keeps them happy. But for the price, Roudybush Bird Food was worth a try. I think they are based on corn, but have added ingredients to make them healthy. I'm, or rather the birds, are apparently satisfied with this purchase.

I feed all my birds this food, various sizes because I have various sized birds but best in nutrition, I feed my older birds +30 years the senior version of this food. Absolutely the best food out there my avian veterinarian recommended I switch my birds to this food several years ago and he says its still the best.

The pellets are breaking into small particles and powder when my bird bites them. Half of the food is spilling out and getting wasted. I suggest even small pellets for medium and small birds. I think the taste is okay as my bird is eating well.
