An excellent story that any small girl will adore.
My favorite Halloween story to read to toddlers, as well as for those learning to read. I have three granddaughters and two great nieces and they all love those witches. The story is better suited for girls. It is not scary. I helps kids extrapolate as to what happens next. The illustrations are beautiful. As a retired teacher, I highly recommend this children's Halloween book.

cute
Cute little story about finding your own strength but it bugs me just a little bit that the sisters were not supportive or trying to help her as she struggled. It is a missed lesson that could have been taught. Siblings should have each other's backs.

It teaches great moral values to young children.
This is a story of a young witch, who was bullied and bossed around by her older sisters. She lacked self confidence and believed that she had no power of her own. Through a new friendship with a young human boy, she discovered her own power and her other abilities, and by each try of her new-found strength she discovered her self. At the end she was even able to put spells to her two elder sisters and outwitted them. This is a great story for little children. I read this book to my son, who's 3, and he loved it. It teaches children to believe in themselves and encourage them to try new things and learn. There are no violence, no scary descriptions; perfect for little children to read to and it is interesting enough for older children to read on their own. I fully recommend it. I hope that "I can read" series make more of this kind of books!
