I purchased this to replace an exterior access switch for my garage door opener. The opener is very old and not compatible with any of the "Keypad" type access controls available. Using a key switch makes exterior access to the garage very easy. Since the signal is low voltage, I expect the switch to last a long time, and the supplied mounting plate was a perfect replacement for the previous switch, which finally gave up after 40 years. Very good value and is well built. Be advised the switch is essentially a single-pole, double-throw type switch, so use a DVM to determine which set of contacts you will need. Easily installed and well worth the money.

The details of this product was vague. I need something to turn off tvs with a single key. It’s used in a prison. When “lights out” is called, all my staff have to do is insert a key and turn. Before we had to go to the other end of the building and turn off the box then turn each tv off by wanting the dorms. This switch wasn’t designed for that. We ordered a different one though.

Garage door switch works well. You have to remember that this switch when used for a garage door needs to be turned to on and then turned back to off to remove, otherwise you might mess up your opener. You could turn it to on and then remove the key, you don't want to do that. To close the door just repeat that process of turning on then off and removing.

I purchased this switch to control a gas valve or not natural gas conversion for an outdoor grill the purpose is to light the gas by mounting it on the grill and it look good the switch it's not what's on the picture it came with two sets of wires one white one green the white set gets power at the on position the green set gets power at the off position It is misleading that this thing can do 110 or 220 volts in the way that it is it needs additional parts like a contactor and they come with one fan coils and you can control any voltage. The switch the way ships I want put it for 12 volts he will need some type of relay. I figured out how this will work an LED will be placed on the off position to let you know that the gas is off
