I’ve been using this OutdoorMaster helmet for skating, and I’m really impressed with the quality. The shell feels solid and durable, giving me a lot of confidence while riding. This is my third Army-style bike helmet for my new Montague (olive drab) Paratrooper folding mountain bike. The two other Helmets are fairly expensive ones and are top quality in all respects. This one was so comparatively inexpensive compared to the two others that it was an impulse buy as soon as I saw it. Once again, I've been taken advantage of. Make it olive drab and I buy it. This helmet is as comfortable as the other two and I believe is rated for the same protection level. I get a kick out of the orange straps against the olive drab helmet, which was the final fraction of an ounce weighing on my trigger finger. Like my other two Army style helmets, compared to most bike helmets, it has much inferior ventilation. But it's olive drab. I'll suffer for fashion. If this helmet cost another $10 to $20 I'd drop a star from it because (as other people have experienced) the olive drab fades to beige on the back of the helmet due to sort of manufacturing issue; however, given this helmet's price, I overlook that minor cosmetic flaw effortlessly.

I was in between small and medium on chart, so ordered medium. Seems to be a good fit and decent helmet.

Fits perfect, adjusts perfectly, and isn't uncomfortable. When the rear adjustable support is tightened properly, it sort of snaps onto your head, like a full helmet would. I forget it's on while riding my EBike. I hope to never rely on it, but, if I do, the materials seem sufficient enough to protect me.My only gripe is that I wish the inner detachable padding was a bit thicker and denser, but the actual helmet is very thick and dense. It would be nice if the inner detachable pads were like the ones found in military kevlar helmets, so, I may go to the surplus shop and grab a few.The clip is easily used, as it is easy to find when on, and pretty secure also. The helmet looks nice, and fits the standard when it comes to skating and skateboarding helmets. I'd certainly want this sort of helmet for my toddler or child, or anyone I care about.As far as visibility goes, I struggled justifying the helmet, from sheer vanity and coolness, but decided to stop being a weenie and get it. I bought the light grey version, so, I certainly could be more visible, but all of my clothes are also grey, so.

I love the color, and the material feels durable and high quality. It kept me safe and comfortable, and I’ve seen this same helmet in other colors as well. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.

It works perfectly once I adjusted all the straps. The sizing chart helped me get the right fit.The one thing that was strange was the clip was on backwards, but it was easy to just flip itaround the right way while I was adjusting it. It looks strong enough and not too bulky.

Strong and worthy

Please measure your head circumference before purchasing it. It has a tightener behind that locks it in place and has protected me when I had unintended falls.

The product is fine and exactly as described. However, the packaging was terrible. It was simply placed in a transparent plastic bag and then into a thin paper envelope for delivery. Who knows how many impacts the helmet has been through already.
