Best gold pan I own!
I've been using this gold pan for awhile now and I've had 0 complaints with it, Once I seasoned the pan it worked perfectly for even the tiniest gold! It is a giant gold pan but made well and very durable!

This is a great pan.
Each pan has their own character, a combination of quirks, flaws, strengths, deep scratches, etc… This pan can go through material quickly without losing gold. The size is great, it’s nice and deep, and it pairs very nicely with my all plastic Garrett classifier… I first thought that I might use this pan to do the initial bulk of the processing and switch to a different pan when I got down to mostly black sand and gold… But this pan does a great job at the finer stages as well…I’ve seen reviews where some love it and some don’t… I think the folks that don’t love it are not using it properly. My guess is that they don’t understand how quick and aggressive you can be with this pan and still keep a hold of all the gold… I tested it myself using pure black sand and 14 tiny flakes of placer… I mixed that really well with dirt and gravel, and tested to see how fast is too fast… Even at my most aggressive, I got all 14 pieces of gold. That gave me a ton of confidence in its abilities at the stream…And no, I never “season” my plastic pans… That happens naturally the very first time you use any plastic pan (I honestly think that seasoning hokey was started as a joke on newbies, just to see if they were gullible enough to take sand paper and soap to a plastic pan)Anyway… This is a great pan with a very good design.

Gold is Hitting All Time Highs! Get off the Couch, Get this Amazing Gold Pan! There Is Gold In Them Thar Hills!!!
This is one serious gold pan! So if you are a serious gold prospector or hoping to be one pick this pan up. Yes truly the Gold Rush is on but not as much as you would think there are a lot more people out looking for gold than there were 15 years ago but considering back in the 1800's all the way to the 1950's gold stayed under 30.00 an ounce and now it is 1300.00 an ounce the only reason one is not out looking for gold is pure laziness. There is not much else you can do that has the potential of making you 600+ dollars a day for a good hard working day of shoveling. Certainly not ditch digging! It will get you into Rock Star shape again and maybe make you a little bit happier and richer. communing with nature hearing the flowing stream, enjoying the wind in the pine trees and of course lots and lots of GOLD!!!! This Pan will Get you some for sure, The ridges are deep and that combined with the fact that gold is 19 times heavier than water once you get your stratification technique down you will not be losing that GOLD!!! Of course the secret is to be digging in a hole that has gold to begin with! I have been using the 14 and 10 inch Garrett pans for years I have also used the Roaring Camp Gold Saver Pan. All are great pans but to tell you the truth, this one is it is a bit over whelming when you first open the box at 15 inches this pan is huge!!! Its only 1 inch larger than what I am used to but that one in is quite a bit! Size does matter after all, at least in the world of gold pans. The ridges are deep and it is an amazing pan I cannot wait to hit the creek. it is an amazing deal and less than 9.00 when this pan first came out mining stores it my area were selling it for 35.00. You cannot go wrong it is well made beautiful and if it is too big for your hands it will look really cool hanging on a nail in the house! What a Screaming Deal!!! Thanks Garrett and Amazon. Heading To Happy Camp Next week. Because there is Still Gold in them Thar Hills!

Not just a lot of hype.
This pan is incredibly popular. In the prospecting community this seems to be the highest rated pan out there, and when anyone has another preferred pan it's usually one very much like the Garrett pans.It is so popular I was concerned that many of the reviews I was hearing were coming from people sponsored by the Garrett company. That just isn't the case; this pan is so effective I don't understand how Garret doesn't have a monopoly on the gold pan market. It is so difficult to lose gold from this pan that I believe with the right technique and enough elbow grease the super sluice is preferable to an actual sluice box. It's many times cheaper than a sluice, much more portable, obviously you don't have to spend an hour setting it up just perfectly for it to work. With practice you can easily concentrate a pan to a few tablespoons in less than a minute with little or no loss; with a pan this size that's faster than most people would feed a sluice. As for dry panning, as long as you just concentrate down to about a half a cup and finish it with water I doubt you'll lose any gold. It takes that much more effort and that much more time but it is very effective and you wont be limited to only locations with water. Working the same material wet and dry I can say confidently that I am recovering at least nearly the same amount of gold, which is especially impressive when you consider I work in an area with nearly 100% fine gold. My dry yield was effected by a light rain, but I still found gold.Without getting into mechanized equipment, or production pans that cost 100$ and up this pan with a half inch classifier is how you're going to find the most gold in the least amount of time.Lastly if you're good at panning you can use this pan to clean up, but I'd recommend a clean up pan. A five dollar black pan would work fine, but to be honest I'd recommend the 10" or 14" Garret (or Garret style) pans, the extra five bucks is worth it in my opinion. It's easier to get down to nearly pure gold with a small pan and you can use the super sluice to safety pan.
