X-Label Big Boys' 1/4 Zip Rib Newcastle Sweater

This is not a bad sweater at all, but I can see where some people might be disappointed because they expected something different. After reading the reviews I knew it would be lightweight, and it is, but that is fine with me. My son gets hot in big heavy sweaters so this is perfect for us with a t-shirt underneath. The sizing does not run small as some people have said. The sweater has an "athletic" or "skinny" cut to it, so it will fit tightly. It is not a big baggy sweater, it is meant to be more fitted. But as far as length of body and sleeves go, it is right on. The reason I marked it as "somewhat large" is that the way that the sizes are listed on Amazon are not quite what you would expect. On Amazon you have a choice of small, medium, large. My son usually wears a medium, but since I heard this ran a bit small, I ordered the large. At Target and other stores, medium usually means 8/10 or 10/12 and large means 10/12 or 12/14. When my large came it fit fine in the body (due to it being a "fitted" style and stretchy in the body) but the arms and body were very very long. I looked at the tag and on the tag it said L (14-16). I called my older son down because he is 12 and wears size 14 and had him try it on. It fit him perfectly with a little room to grow. SO, for my younger son who usually wears M/L, this was way too big, but for my son who usually wears an XL, it was perfect. It is truly a 14/16. So, I'm going to buy a M for my younger son because I like the sweater, I LOVE the price, and if that is still too big, we can keep it for him to grow into and buy a S.

I was not expecting much from a $6 sweater but let me say I am glad I rolled the dice and bought it.Pros-very soft-the charcoal color looks exactly as it is picturesCons-the material is very thin and some what see through so an under shirt is a must.-the sleeves are a bit long, I bought 2 sweaters a small and a medium and both sleeves are long but it isn't a deal breaker.Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and for a cute sweater that doesn't break the bank this is a great buy.

I bought this for my eight year old daughter's Hermione Granger Halloween costume and it worked out really well. I actually purchased three different sweaters to try out and this is the one we ended up going with. My daughter is a size 10 in girls clothes (American sizes) and this was a bit big on her, which is what I expected. But it still worked fine, we just rolled up the sleeves. The sweater was soft enough that she didn't complain (she would not have worn it if she thought it was in any way itchy). We live in a mild climate and it was the perfect warmth for 50-60 degree weather, probably would not be warm enough without a jacket for anything colder though. Given the excellent price we paid for this item, I could not be more pleased.

It keeps him warm at school & he hasn't complained about the fit, but its not as baggy as i would have liked it to be. My son is a little on the short slender side so I thought it would be looser than it actually is...

I needed the shirt for family pictures this week. I don't have time to return/exchange. I ordered a size 10/12 (Medium) but received a 14/16 (Large). Other than getting the wrong size, it was a great deal for the price.

Not very good quality. Bought this for family pictures and before we were even done with them, he already had a hole in the arm pit. It did fit as expected but did not like the quality of the shirt

This was lighter weight than expected, in fact it was transparent. When I read light weight I expect a fine gage not transparent. When I washed it, the sweater practically disintegrated. I bought it think it would be the perfect light weight sweater for my son to wear with a jacket if need be. I was very disappointed.

I like it (but my grandson does not). he won't even wear it, and I'm not sure why. It is soft, not scratchy. maybe it's the mock turtleneck...
