Works
Isolates the biceps very well. I did not realize how much I had been "cheating" before when doing standard curls. Now I have to reduce the weight a bit to do standing curls. The only issue/trick is this: I put the Arm Blaster over my neck, adjust the neck pad and make the part where the elbows go- and the bar goes across- nice and even. When I bend down to pick up the weight bar, the harness invariably shifts, and my elbows are not aligned. Haven't quite figured out yet how to keep it balanced. I am sure if the weight bar was resting on a stand, or just higher off the ground, that I would not have this issue, but I do not have this kind of set-up. When u bend over with the Blaster on, it swings away from your body, and then sways back when you stand up straight. Perhaps if it included some sort of belt? Not worth deducting a star rating. Just kinda hard to adjust it while u have 120lbs in your hands. Sturdy item, adjustable, does what it is supposed to.

Arm Blaster
Purchased the arm blaster a few months ago, excellent device that can be used to isolate the biceps and build solid muscle, even for a 50 plus adult male. Had a device just like this years ago while I was in the armed forces excellent tool, however, passed that device to my youngest son who is following in his old mans footsteps. Anyway buy it you won't be dissappointed.

It does the job
It's hard to be really good, or really bad, when your job is to be a slightly curved thin piece of metal. There is no innovative design, and these things have been virtually the same since maybe the 1960's or earlier. They are quite the equivalent to alligators of the gym world. Simple, and so well designed (evolved) that there may never be a reason to change. So this does the job. There is a pad that goes behind the neck, but I actually find this a little distracting and I'm not certain why the strap would need that. The pad is easily removed and that might be my course of action in the near future. This is a good price for a solid product. If I had to do it over, I would still buy it without hesitation.

Just Like I Remembered
I had something similar to this when I was a teen (I'm in my 50's now) and I remember it fondly. I believe that one was called "Bicep Blaster" or "Arm Blaster", but I can't remember which. It was great for isolating the biceps when doing curls. Of course ONLY doing isolation exercises is not very productive, but I have found that including them in my workouts did help quite a bit for building strength and size. I had been wanting another one so I did a search on Amazon and found this. I arrived last week and it's just as ingenious as I remember it being. This one feels strong and it has a little bit of foam padding where the tri's will rest, which is a nice touch my old one didn't have. I highly recommend it.

Meh
I saw Arnold using it and instantly wanted to try it. First of all, the guy pictured is using it wrong but I digress. It's a little cumbersome and due to my short arms, it was really hard to use. I think it would be the right product for the right person. You should give it a try for the price because it's a good isolation movement.

Arm Blaster
This item used to be found in sports shops all over town years ago, it was very popular in gyms in the 80s, but I couldn't find it in any stores now (most places I looked didn't even know what I was talking about). I wanted to get it for my son (a cadet at West Point) for Christmas and after much frustration looking for it I finally found it online. It is an awesome device to help isolate the bicepts and keep you from cheating any reps during your workout. I ended up ordering it a day or two before Christmas and it arrived the following Monday. Fair price, fair expedited shipping cost, and quick service.

Great workout appliance that many don't know about
I really like this Arm Blaster, I use it in conjunction with a preacher. I had a similar one back in the 1980's and lost it many years ago and have been looking for a long time at Sporting goods stores and when I ask the sales clerks about them they would just give me a blank stare. I finally found one here on Amazon. I recommend for isolation and preventing from other body movement; you really feel the burn.

So many things about this piece are bad. I can't use it and will be shipping it back.
So many things about this piece are bad. I can't use it and will be shipping it back.If you are a big guy, this is definitely not for you. I am 220 lbs 6ft 1. and have lifted weights my whole life. First off any back specialist or chiropractor will tell you that your center of gravity is very important. Especially for older guys more prone to injury. This thing does not go far enough back to your sides, for me it sits on my abs funny (I have big protruding abs) even adjusted to my elbows just so. That extra 2 inches forward is an immense strain on the lower back. You are only supposed to be working your biceps. I believe this injured my lower back. The next morning after using it the first time I was stiff and could barely walk. $250.00 chiropractor bill and two weeks later I am still hurting. Luckily it's just a muscle sprain and spasms due to that injury. The tightening clip for the strap is cheap plastic. I wonder when it will either give in and break or just lose the straps during my sets. I curl up to 60lbs while standing and failure could be a disaster for a late 40's body builder. The strap itself is probably strong enough but it's very thin and cheap too. Why there are so many good reviews I have no idea but am wary that many of them are posts by someone who is with the company. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I'll be looking for the real deal. Miss my old arm blaster!
