Good to have this large of a clip that we use on our dog's leash to use when we're dining outside, BUT the foam on the clip has practically desintigrated. We had to remove it in pieces......

As you should imagine, the foam will tear with heavy use. I am a cable installer, and bought this to use to secure my heavy meter to the lines when I'm up the ladder along the roads, at the power poles.So I just wrapped them with gorilla tape, and they're fine. I purchased this one for the size, to make it easier to quickly clasp this to my ladder or the lines at the pole.I'll certainly purchase another if needed; hopefully I won't wear out or break the spring any sooner than would be expected with the workout I give it.
