You can use up to 10 watt bulb. It's E12 screw bulbs. If you want more light, use LED bulb. They are available on Amazon.

Where is the string to change color lighting?

This lamp doesn't have color lighting. Our bigger lamps have color lighting. There is an on/off switch on the cord.

Is the roof of this lamp made of wood?

No. It's made with polyester resin. The side and the base are wood.
