Bosch GTA3800 Folding Leg Miter Saw Stand

This unit combined with the Bosch compound miter saw is a a heavy unit, but it has smooth rolling wheels and sets up easily. It is very stable and the adjustable leg is great for uneven surfaces

If you have any doubts about buying this miter saw stand because of the price, let me set your mind at ease. This is a perfect example of "You get what You pay for" There is very little plastic in the construction of it. And most important to me is the fact that the saw mounts are steel where they connect to the stand instead of plastic like most other stands I've looked at, and I've looked at a lot of them. Which is why I've included a picture of it with this review. This thing is made from Aluminum and steel. It has wide stainless-steel rollers on both outfeed supports. This thing is heavy duty, therefore it is not light. But I bought it for a 12 inch saw, so it's perfect to me.

Attention Milwaukee M18 12” Miter saw owners. This is a nice well made heavy duty stand. I noticed after mounting my Milwaukee M18 miter on it that it was mounted very crooked on the stand. After measuring everything I discovered that the Milwaukee saws mounting holes are not the same distance on the back of the saw as they are on the front. I had this saw mounted on a harbor freight stand with 4 universal slots and it did not have this issue. The Bosch GTA3800 does not have universal elongated slots in the front. They are on the rear of the stand mounting brackets only. The solution was simple. I had to start mounting in the rear of the saw to make it square with the stand. Once this was done I was able to use the left front cam mounting hole. I had to drill one hole on the right front bracket and Into the right front cam. I moved the cam all the way one direction to allow the most metal between the existing holes and tapped an 8x1.25 thread to match the other three and the saw mounts correctly now. I wish I would have known this before purchasing this stand as It was confusing me. I hope this helps others.

For years I would set my 10 inch miter saw in the ground and make cuts as needed. When I purchased a new 12 inch saw, I also decided to do my back a favor and get a stand. I decided on the 3800 over the dewalt since the dewalt did not have material rollers any longer or wheels. This stand has been great. It is very well built and I had no issues with damage from shipping that a few others reported. The only negative I have noticed is with the amount of force needed to slide the saw to the end of the stand. After you fold the first set if legs and lower to the ground, when you lift the stand to fold the second set with the saw still in the middle of the stand you have to be careful it doesn't topple. This doesn't happen if you move the saw to the end of the stand, but sometimes sliding it back and forth takes a lot more force than other times. Still I gave it 5 stars and am so glad I bought it.

This stand is solid! The legs might look a bit flimsy but once you unpack it, you realize that it is a very high-quality stand.The setup is very straightforward, and all you might need is a 10mm socket to help install the rollers and the wheel assembly. One of the legs can be adjusted to make sure that the stand does not wobble. Finally, the tool mount is included, so that you can secure your miter saw. I have a 12" Bosch miter saw and it works perfectly. The only minor complain is that sliding the saw once it's installed is not very smooth (but I don't believe you will be doing this very much). Overall, I'm very happy with this stand.

I’m very happy with this stand. It’s very sturdy and the arms extend wider than I expected

This is a heavy duty miter saw stand using thick extruded aluminum for the main support and extension arms. One leg has an adjustable foot on it to allow for an uneven surface. The extension wings extend out 47" in both directions and support the wood without any deflection. At the end of the extensions there are stops that allow for repeated cuts at the length you chose. The stops easily engage and disengage. If you plan to take this to a job site it has a handle attached on its underside for carrying it or two wheels on one side that allow you to roll it. The two mounts that couple the stand to your saw allow for a quick release from the stand and can be mounted anywhere on the stand's surface.

This model is well thought out, sturdy as heck, yet light weight. I read complaints that it doesn't stay upright when stored on end with the saw mounted. I think such an expectation is unrealistic. Of course it wont stand on end with the saw on. Duh!

This stand is well engineered, the rollers track true, and isn't cumbersome. Definitely worth it

After looking through the reviews, I was worried about ordering. The stand seemed very well made but was delivered frequently damaged during shipment. I was very impressed with my Bosch mitre saw so I decided to take a chance on the stand. I am very glad I did. Although heavy, it is extremely well built. I have my Bosch mitre saw mounted on it and definitely both tools are professional grade. It was delivered by Canada Post - zero issues, thanks Canada Post. I would definitely recommend.

I like it and look forward to using it now that the weather is nicer to work outside.
