These suck for dry fire drills and the snap cap primer will not hold up. However if you glue 2 .38 special competition wadcutters into the center of them they perfectly mimick the loaded weight of twelve guage rounds. Therefore they are a highly cost effective way to fill shell caddies with dummies for re loading drill purposes. Use the high quality 2 per pack snap caps if you want to do dry fire drills.

I thought I was ordering live blanks but I misunderstood the purpose of this product. Feel and handle like a regular shell

Striker does not strike any shells. Set up level about 12’ apart. Thought it was the shells but no strike marks in primer. Disappointed with this junk.

Been cycling these through my Hawk 981r (rem 870 clone) and Vepr-12 shotguns. I got the 20 pack as I had a feeling my Vepr was going to chew them up (my friend's Saiga 12 destroyed my "B's Dry Fire Snap Caps (TM)"), so far they've got a few nicks and scratches in the hulls and brass but holding up pretty well over this past month and still feed. Work for dry-fire practice and malfunction drills at the range. These are 'okay' for reload and combat loading practice but understand these are not weighted to live shells, but I knew that going in. -they have a nice hollow cavity that can be filled and plugged for those that want a proper weight simulation for reload practice. My only real ding is that these shells are shorter than the average crimped shotshell these measure just a hair longer than 2 & 1/8 inches while target loads like 2 & 3/4 Federal or Winchester Universals measure 2 & 1/4 inches long crimped/unfired -This length difference needs to be kept in mind as they will not fit properly in some shell caddies and it can affect some reloading techniques. On the other hand I can squeeze one more shell in the magazine tube of my Hawk giving it 6+1... possible training scar OR extended practice?? lol

Great price for dummy rounds. The orange plastic is soft enough to dry fire, they weigh about a third of a real round, but they feed/cycle fine for doing reload practice.

Great product. The orange coloration provides a great immediate visual indicator that you are using dummy rounds. They are much lighter than live rounds but I bought them for reloading drills with a tubular magazine. I could see the lack of weight being an issue for mag-fed shotguns but it didn't personally bother me.

Pros - I like that these shells are essentially made out of the same hulls as real shells. IMO knowing the texture of the ammo is important for reloading drills Cons - They are about an eighth inch shorter then 2 3/4 shells. This is a problem if you are trying to practice duel or quad loading from a shell caddie that is designed around proper shell dimensions. - The are way to light to truly practice speed reloading. IMO if you practice and get good at reloading these, it won't transfer over to reloading real shells, knowing the weight matters. - While the brass works for getting the texture right on real ammo, it is also just as fragile, the extractor is going to eat them up if you dry fire with them too much. All in all, this wasn't what I was looking for. They are good for teaching beginners the basics, but they are not good enough for serious dry fire and reloading drills.

Very good quality, and it doesn't mind to drop on concrete floor. It could be just me, when I try to load them fast, sometimes is not as smooth as I would hope for. The shell is slightly shorter than 2-3/4, I can hard push the 6th one into a Moss 88 5 rounds tube, then have to get it out slowly by hand~not gonna happen to 2-3/4 anyway

This is perfect to practice loading and unloading your shotgun safely. When hunting once a year it's important to practice safely.
