Mineral Sheers Loose Powder Foundation, Classical Ivory, .19 oz | Classic Ivory 10, Lightweight Face Makeup, Sheer to Medium Buildable Coverage, Sensitive Skin Foundation with Vitamins A, & E

I’ve never cared for the feel of liquid foundation so I always use powder. As I aged (52 now), I struggled to find one that suited my changing skin. This has a very subtle shimmer that illuminates my skin. It’s not glittery or overtly shimmery, just gives a nice glow. Still feels lightweight and covers well.

I was a Bare Minerals lady for years before discovering the drug store brands were doing similar things. I've always been grossed out by skin-colored liquids, so most foundations have been out for me. Pressed powder isn't gross to me, but doesn't seem to work that well if that's the only foundation you're using, so I've tried a bunch of those and used a knife to scrape it into a loose powder. It's a lot of hassle and many of them don't work that well anyway. I've tried pretty much all the drug store loose powder foundations I could find (Physician's Formula, CoverGirl, Maybelline, L'Oreal, etc.). None of them are as good as this Neutrogena stuff. It doesn't smell bad, it's nice and sheer if you only apply a little but can be built for a bit more coverage, and you get a nice amount of it for the money. I alternate between two different colors depending upon the season, and I've found there's quite a bit of leeway before either of them looks too light or too dark. It's never too pink or too yellow and never look unnatural. It would be nice if it could provide a tiny bit more coverage, but I don't think that's the intention of this product. I think most people are cool with using a little liquid concealer or a base foundation instead (again, I'm in the minority for hating that stuff). All in all, I kind of wished I had just stuck with this rather than trying to find better elsewhere. Would have saved me a lot of time and money. I think if you have super warm or super cool undertones and need something really specific, this might not work as well for you, but otherwise, I'm not sure there's anything better.

Easy application and great for mature skin.

I am genuinely shocked by the number of people leaving reviews that use the crappy little applicators that come with their make up. Neutrogena has stopped including the applicators for environmental reasons. You don’t have to spend a lot to get decent brushes or beauty sponges these days, and it certainly isn’t worth putting down a product that works so well. I’m mid 40s and this does not settle in any lines nor does it look like I have anything on my face. I really dislike the look of foundation and this is the perfect compromise between natural looking skin and even light to medium coverage. I received a completely sealed brand new product, well packaged and in perfect condition. This mineral foundation is just as good as other more expensive brands. Be warned however, It will oxidize ever so slightly after about a half hour, so since I am between natural ivory and classic Ivory I choose the lightest one (classic) for winter and mix both shades for summer.

Been using this powder for YEARS. Made the switch from Bare Minerals because it costs 5 times the amount for 1/6 of product. I love this powder. It blends perfectly & doesn’t clog my pores or make me break out. Still has minerals and SPF. It even smells nice. Amazing coverage. Lasts all day & even when I forget (this is very rare) to wash my face & just fall asleep I still wake up with coverage.

Looks natural and smooth and has really good coverage. Please don't discontinue!

Not really great coverage compared to the more expensive brand Saie I normally use. Probably good enough to take the shine down on your face if that's all you're looking for

I am surprised at how much I LOVE this foundation. I have never liked foundations because I don't like how they sit on my skin. I actually look forward to applying this and get compliments my skin when wearing it. Not on the makeup-but on my skin...that goes to show how natural it really appears. I am surprised at how natural and even my skin looks with this on. Not cakey or heavy. I can't feel it on my skin, and other products-bronzer, blush and powder highlight, sit lovely on top of it. My only complaint is that I get VERY fair in the winter and I won't be able to use it anymore. I have my summer "tan" (I use the word tan loosely) right now and I am in the lightest shade. I am using a real techniques multi task brush to apply it. The coverage is light to light-medium. I feel like it evens out my skin tone beautifully. I conceal with a creamy applicator, then buff a light amount this into my skin in circular motions. If needed, I repeat one more time for more coverage. Light layers is key. I use very little product everyday. I feel like this container will last me a very long time. If you have been wanting to try a powder foundation, give this one a try! I have normal skin, with an oily t-zone. Sometimes I have to blot with a paper and run the brush with leftover product back over my forehead, but I don't mind at all considering it takes less than a minute. It is worth it for how soft and natural the finish is!
